Video: Mary Katharine Ham talks Rosie, pundit punch-ups on CNN
posted at 12:45 pm on June 3, 2007 by Allahpundit
Note how Gail Shister appears to blame Kurtz for introducing the term “catfight” into the discussion when in fact it’s MK who really introduces it. Ah well. What’s a little fact-fudging if it helps advance “progress”?
Exit question: Did the Hammer actually drop the G’s from the end of “cat-fighting” and “hair-pulling”? You can take the girl out of North Carolina, but…

Blowback

She definitely dropped the ending g’s as many of us southern folk do when atalkin’. Sometimes we ride (take a car) to the store when we’re just afixin’ to do sumthun. :)

I liked the part where Gail praised Herr Olbermann for never talking over or finger-point at his guests. Why would he ever finger point at his guests? He only puts on liberal shills that agree with him.

Exit question answer: Yup.

Shister is a sexiest and a total idiot.
Wade on June 3, 2007 at 1:08 PM
This is CNN? Shister wanted to accuse Kurtz of sexism. That didn’t work out. The HuffPo lady almost reaches the point of being sane. Nice work by Ham. Shister was the only loon on that screen for once.
amerpundit on June 3, 2007 at 1:11 PM
I don’t think she blamed Kurtz. She said “we”.

ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz…………………
Aren’t we beyond all this yet…

Cock fight Cock fight…!!!
sonnyspats1 on June 3, 2007 at 1:45 PM
Hmmm. So which is it? Guess it depends on who is reporting.
MKH: hot, as usual.
Maybe she’s been hanging with Kirsten Powers (btw: haven’t seen her on HA lately?)
Exit question: how will Rachel’s sanity go over at HufPo?
IrishEyes on June 3, 2007 at 2:21 PM
Listen again. She started by addressing Kurtz, then said we and finally said you. I took as you meaning Kurtz as that is who was addressing.
Wade on June 3, 2007 at 2:21 PM
Thanks! I’m gonna hit the Pink Sapphire for a pedicure and facial first.
saint kansas on June 3, 2007 at 2:31 PM
It’s always good to see MKH. She is Brilliant and Beautiful!
If Gail was in a fight I don’t think you could call it a cat-fight or a cock-fight.IMAO

I would dispute that Olberdouche is a great writer.
Queef has no viewers, so who gives a damn?

MK is a lovely way to start a Sunday morning.

Rachel Sklar claims CNN is the most trusted name in news.
It hasn’t been that since 1981.
Mindcrime on June 3, 2007 at 3:24 PM
Never let the facts get in the way of a good story.
The motto of the media, I guess.
Seixon on June 3, 2007 at 3:25 PM
I guess I really am a bigot. When the tough one mentioned cockfights, I thought they were transitioning into a debate on illegal aliens.
SailorDave on June 3, 2007 at 3:31 PM
Rachel from HuffPo seemed entirely reasonable…which I confess I wasn’t expecting, being that she works for HuffPo.
MKH was a bit partisan IMHO regarding killing Olbermann and ppraising O’Reilly. But since she reflects many of my political positions, it didn’t bother me.
Since I live near Philly, I’ve read Shister for years, and she’s EXTREMELY good and entertaining on most media stuff. However, I don’t think she came off very well here, and it was obvious where her politics lie.

MKH is a Southern h0ttie…and I’d love to see her in a cat fight, especially if it was Adriana Lima.
Tim Burton on June 3, 2007 at 4:15 PM
Sorry, Rachel, CNN is *NOT* the most “trusted name in news.”
CNN is, and always has been, strongly LIBERALLY BIASED, and dismissive of conservative viewpoints, and hostile to the right.
There is a reason we on the right used to call it the “Clinton News Network”….
georgej on June 3, 2007 at 4:26 PM
LoL.
I always hear it called “Chicken Noodle News”.
Lawrence on June 3, 2007 at 5:19 PM
The retort to Gail Shishter on her cockfight comment, “If women get into it, it’s called a catfight; why is it that if men get into it, it’s not a called a cockfight?” “Because Gail, when women get into it, it’s called a catfight, not a pussyfight.”
smellthecoffee on June 3, 2007 at 5:20 PM
Is Gail Shishter an old drug addict or something? She rarely knew what was being said around her, questions asked of her or the implication put forward by Rachel and the Hammer’s responses. Always powerful TV to have comments from an analyst so unaware of the subjects being discussed she embarrassed every lesbian and grandma in the world.
Griz on June 3, 2007 at 6:47 PM
Oh… and I do enjoy MKH’s passion.
Griz on June 3, 2007 at 6:50 PM
Speaking of “generating more heat …”
Ali-Bubba on June 3, 2007 at 8:29 PM
You’re being modest, MK. I’d guess at least half a million views — and that’s just Allah and me ….
Ali-Bubba on June 3, 2007 at 8:38 PM
Too much crap not enough Hamm.
TBinSTL on June 3, 2007 at 8:51 PM
She said ‘you’, but it wasn’t necessarily a personal singular ‘you’; it might have been a plural ‘you’ speaking of Kurtz and MKH’s conversation, or a general ‘you’, such as “You sure don’t see that too often”, which would better be expressed using the word “one”.
The Monster on June 3, 2007 at 9:58 PM
Sklar must type all her blog entries with both pinkies raised.
And Shister, she doesn’t like boys.
MKH, needs to work on her speaking. Too many “ums”.
unamused on June 4, 2007 at 11:22 AM
Why would you want to in the first place???
thirteen28 on June 4, 2007 at 1:13 PM
Shister doesn’t want the truth to get in the way of a good story, and two minutes later she cares most about the truth factor. No wonder she likes Olby.
A great writer? Nobody would dispute that? OMGosh, she’s insane.
