Can you imagine (for one minute think about this) a republican, say like Romney, who had such a history of legal problems, disbarred from any state, had scores of books written about suspicious deaths he very well could be involved with, websites that have 'Romney Body Count' with multiple pages of incriminating data, multiple rape accusations, denied, THEN ADMITTED immoral sex with a woman (NOT HIS WIFE) while at his elected job in his office( we were paying him at the time),Whitewater,Travelgate, FBI problems, IRS problems, etc, on and on, you surely can add to this....
Now imagine him or his accomplice wife running for the oval office?
This is an American nightmare. Our forefather's would roll in their graves.

These people, the Dems right now, are NOT FIT FOR OFFICE. PERIOD.

Democrats are following an order by the House Appropriations Committee chairman to keep the bills free of such earmarks until it is too late for critics to effectively challenge them.

and

What Obey is doing runs counter to new rules that Democrats promised would make such spending decisions more open.

I'm so f8$kin pissed I can't see straight. Blatant lies over and over again and then they still get elected and re-elected.

This Democratic party, since Carter, has been the most deceitful and corrupt in history. They compete with all the bad leaders of Russia and China for deceit and then OPENLY LYING about it. Carter was and is an incompetent fool, but the Clintons? They have mastered the art of deception and cover-up and have spread the immoralities throughout the left side of the country. How can we expect any better from congressmen like Jefferson when the Clinton White House not only endorsed this illegal activity, but have engaged in this type of 'stuff' and MUCH MUCH WORSE! Yet they continue to live with IMPUNITY.
A republican does wrong, he/she goes down, but a dem? well they get a raise or re-elected.
Caught with $90,000.00 CASH in his freezer, yet somehow it's Bush's fault.

Finally, an issue where Democrats and terrorists disagree.
One avoids pork.

That is so much closer to the truth than we imagine , I'm afraid. ( altho it is funny)

Newt may have some tough questions regarding pork barrel spending...

From http://www.cnn.com/ALLPOLITICS/1997/gen/resources/pork/
Power and fear may have been guiding Gingrich who, nervous that his party could lose the majority in the 1996 elections, sent a memo to Republican appropriations committee chairmen last year urging them to fund multi-million dollar spending projects in the districts of embattled Republicans. One of those Republicans was California Rep. Frank Riggs, who was subsequently allotted $3,400,000 for projects in his district, including the dredging of a harbor near Eureka, Calif. Riggs came to Congress touting a platform of fiscal austerity. Early into his term he declared: "Only 50 days into this historical 104th Congress, Republicans have said no to business as usual in Washington."

and from http://query.nytimes.com/gst/fullpage.html?res=9A03E3DE103DF931A15753C1A96E958260&sec=&spon=&pagewanted=2

Georgia, Mr. Gingrich's home state, reaped millions of dollars for special-interest projects in addition to the billions for new military aircraft to be built by Lockheed Martin in Marietta, the Speaker's hometown. The bill provides for $1 million for peanut-quality research in Georgia, $64,000 for urban pest research in Georgia, and $100,000 for Vidalia onion research in Georgia.
Mr. Gingrich was also able to help the peanut growers in his state by thwarting a Department of Transportation regulation that would have created a ''peanut-free zone'' on domestic air flights. The regulation would have barred the distribution of peanuts within three rows of anyone who is allergic to peanuts.

A good site to see who asked for what is
http://www.cagw.org/site/PageServer?pagename=homePage

Too bad the Republicans didn't stop this when they had the numbers. But I imagine they will run on a reform platform for 2008 and go back to business as usual just as the Dems did.

This shouldn't be that shocking.

Kini, we agree. It's both sides and we're the only ones who can change this. So long as localities want their pork it makes no sense ot blame the Congress as a whole, or a hole into which money sinks endlessly...

Finally, an issue where Democrats and terrorists disagree.

I've always believed that Democrats refuse to follow any rules they impose on others, because they know they can't get anywhere if they do. Democrats (by nature imho) are liars and hypocrites of the highest order.

Wow, we have sent some real class acts from Wisconsin!

Feingold, Gynn Moore, Kagan, Obey! All winners!!

And locally we're doing even better - Michael McGee Jr and Governor (tax oil-companies but won't be passed on to consumers) Doyle!

Kinda glad I wasn't able to buy a house this year and will probably be moving soon!

We vote them into office, my friend.
I guess we get what we are taxed for.

The only other explanation is they all go through a mind altering meld after crossing the Rt 495 beltway. Otherwise, how do you explain Kucinich or R. Paul? Maybe Kane & Kodos are really in charge?

You know, a better picture for this article on the main page would have been the one of the 1000+ lb. monster hog that the sixth grader shot. That's the size of pork on which Pelosi & co. are currently chewing the fat.

As for the dems on this matter, it says something when even their complicit media decide to turn on them.

amerpundit, good of you to post that famous, now infamous, quote of our republic of whores (yes bbz123 on both sides) madam. It was good of the the elecotrate idiost to believe them, of the conservatives to give the candidates/pundits enough fodder to win the election. Now, "go f--k yourselves lambs, of both persuasions 'cause we're the superior ones".

We need a grown up to run for president and smack them all around really good. I'm usually not a populist but it's time, and it's needed to bring balance and reason back.

They have all become too arrogant, assuming, unaccountable, and most have forgotten who'd brung them.

Government by reprensentation this is NOT! Or, maybe it is and the whores are us. In that case we all need a reality check and sober up and do something about it, and soon.

When I saw this...I was stunned. I wonder if the AP is turning on the Dems because of the way they kicked Cindy Sheehan to the curb.

I figured it's because the AP's getting tired of it, too. Remember, though:

“(I) intend to lead the most honest, the most open and the most ethical Congress in history”

- Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi, November 2006
