Video: Rosie’s greatest hits

posted at 6:10 pm on May 31, 2007 by Allahpundit

I’m not going to say I teared up at the part where she blows snot on the rug, but I’m not going to say I didn’t tear up either. It’s a mixed bag — they omitted “ching chong,” the Trutherisms, the Gulf of Tonkin conjecture, and all other subjects political except for a nasty dig at Hasselbeck’s beliefs which Elisabeth merrily plays along with. But the rest is gold.

We’ve lost a great deal, my friends. More than we know.

Goodbye to Rosie on The View

Dear God. I mean, Dear God! It burns the eyes!

wccawa on May 31, 2007 at 6:11 PM

Man, talk about a slow news day.

Anything on the cease fire by the Iraqi bad guys?

Kini on May 31, 2007 at 6:13 PM

Can’t we get a KP highlight real instead?

Blacklake on May 31, 2007 at 6:15 PM

Anyone else notice that the soundtrack was “Good Riddance”?

calbear on May 31, 2007 at 6:24 PM

You’ll survive the loss of Rosie, Allah. It’ll be tough, but you’ll manage.

jaleach on May 31, 2007 at 6:24 PM

Blacklake on May 31, 2007 at 6:15 PM

Seconded!

Spirit of 1776 on May 31, 2007 at 6:25 PM

sheehan and rosie highlights in one day. if it weren’t for everything else going on, I’d say “we’re winning” but alas, that is far from reality

lorien1973 on May 31, 2007 at 6:31 PM

God I’m going to miss her classiness.

heatherrc77 on May 31, 2007 at 6:32 PM

lorien1973 on May 31, 2007 at 6:31 PM

No, but seeing the two farewells in the same day has certainly made me feel better. BTW, as an aside, what ever happened to Bethany? I know RealVerse is no more, but where is she now?

amerpundit on May 31, 2007 at 6:38 PM

Your Buddy Allah!

Drtuddle on May 31, 2007 at 6:39 PM

She’s a mess.

Zorro on May 31, 2007 at 6:39 PM

Allah your obsession with the Ro-beast is pretty convincing evidence that you really are not an atheist. It is obvious that this is an outward Freudian manifestation of your need see the evil punished in eternal and unending torment. Furthermore your display of a clear delight in the downfall of a malfeasant entity indicates a classic Jungian expression of unconscious projection of a need for theistically expressed righteous retribution. B.F. Skinner would categorize your repetitive behavior here as reinforcement of subconscious desire to see a end achieved.

doriangrey on May 31, 2007 at 6:42 PM

It’s curious that your front page has Rosie next to St. Cindy, both with fingers up noses.
Coincidence?

RC2 on May 31, 2007 at 6:43 PM

The only thing missing is a house falling on her and munchkins singing: ding dong the bitch is gone, the wicked witch is gone, yeaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!

deadbackpacker on May 31, 2007 at 6:44 PM

Honest to God, I thought I’d really seen the last of Rosie on this blog.

This really is veering into obsession territory …

Professor Blather on May 31, 2007 at 6:47 PM

I am going to suggest that Rosie is not scrubbing pots with that chin. I won’t dare say what she really is doing with that chin hair.

SouthernGent on May 31, 2007 at 6:51 PM

This has truly sad week for America. In tribute, I interpret Ro and Liz’s spat in sketch form in my new weekly column Story Time with E. (In case you’ve ever wondered what the hell I think about anything.) (I bet Entelechy’s wondered.)

I stole “Unstable Mabel.” I hope we’re still cool. :)

Enrique on May 31, 2007 at 6:55 PM

That needs to be recut to the dulcent tune of “Candle in the Wind.”

Steve LLamabutcher on May 31, 2007 at 6:58 PM

“dulcet”

Steve LLamabutcher on May 31, 2007 at 6:59 PM

Keep milking that cow, AP.

JayHaw Phrenzie on May 31, 2007 at 7:11 PM

So many laughs, so many tears…so many fat lesbian jokes. We’ll miss you, Rosie.

That one sentence just made my day.

vcferlita on May 31, 2007 at 7:12 PM

Unless this is AP’s admission that he is through posting Rosie clips, don’t kid yourself. She’ll be back. Her self-esteem is derived from the applause. She will need it to survive and will figure out how to get back into the limelight. Let’s just enjoy that she is in remission for now…….

doriangrey on May 31, 2007 at 6:42 PM

Wow. You nailed it.

Griz on May 31, 2007 at 8:35 PM

We’ve lost a great deal, my friends. More than we know.

No, you’ve lost a great deal, AP.

We, on the other hand, can only stare in amazement at the car wreck that is never hauled away.

Heh. She’ll be back. And, one day, we’ll log on to HotAir and there will be yet another Rosie gleefully posted by our pal AP.

BacaDog on May 31, 2007 at 8:48 PM

If you ever want to be reminded of Rose, go walk around a bay on the Atlantic at low tide.

benrand on May 31, 2007 at 9:00 PM

Yeah, she’s a real national treasure *cough*

thedecider on May 31, 2007 at 9:07 PM

Steve LLamabutcher on May 31, 2007 at 6:58 PM

How bout “Break like the Wind”

Kini on May 31, 2007 at 9:15 PM

Rosie the girilla my dreams, oh musta been a nightmare.

sonnyspats1 on May 31, 2007 at 9:30 PM

Class act… all the way. And she fails at her job.

I’ve seen pill popping drug addicts that look better than she does

SilverStar830 on May 31, 2007 at 9:55 PM

Bloggers ruin everything! And to make matters worse, this young man’s inspiring tale of bringing down a huge, ugly pig that could have easily killed him was overshadowed by the strikingly similar victory of Elizabeth Hasselbeck. That’s the way the news cycles, kid.

Nice quote from Treacher @ the Daily Gut.

dingoatemebaby on May 31, 2007 at 10:16 PM

I keep having this recurring nightmare.

Deja View.

Make it go away. Please.

fogw on May 31, 2007 at 10:21 PM

Deja View.

fogw on May 31, 2007 at 10:21 PM

Winner!

BacaDog on May 31, 2007 at 11:01 PM

Rosie’s demonstrating what we in The South call a Farmer’s Hankey.

The Ugly American on June 1, 2007 at 12:03 AM

We “lost a great deal?” What are you, nuts?

We have lost NOTHING. She doesn’t have a terminal disease (except terminal stupidity). Pity, because that wouldn’t be a loss but a GAIN. She isn’t going off to prison for the rest of her life (another gain). She has oodles of money, more than you and I put together.

Her leaving The View is NOT a “national” loss, even if you meant it faceciously. At best, it’s called “A Good Thing ™.”

Since this sh*tstain will find a new gig in a year or so, probably in cable, she’ll be back and you will no doubt make sure that we know every time her a$$ sneezes.

I am glad she is no longer on broadcast TV. That is not a loss but a “net national gain.”

georgej on June 1, 2007 at 3:20 AM

Rosie may want to go back and pick up those precious brain cells she left on the studio floor. They may be the ones that will allow her to begin to see the truth.

MSGTAS on June 1, 2007 at 9:16 AM

Please make Rosie disappear from Hot Air. Please.

Lawrence on June 1, 2007 at 10:26 AM

doriangrey on May 31, 2007 at 6:42 PM

Wow, Freud, Jung and Skinner all in one analysis. What a glorious day.

BTW an end, not a end. Is that right?

RedKnight on June 1, 2007 at 11:10 AM

You will go to any length to put a Rosie thread in here, I’m beginning to worry about some latent, deeply suppressed Rosie-erotic fantasy you are coping with.

Alden Pyle on June 1, 2007 at 12:34 PM

Please ! …. I’m trying to eat my lunch.
