She’s going to be a combat medic so that the next time someone’s husband falls in battle, she might be there to hold his hand. Click the image to watch.

Thank God for people like her. She’s not one to take her (or OUR) freedom for granted.
Soulsirkus, great anology!

I was deeply moved by this lady’s strength of mind and heart.
Her decision to express her love, both of her late husband, and our nation, by joining the Army, is … noble, is the only word I can think of. God bless her!

Not to derail too much, can a female become a combat medic? I know women are barred from “Combat MOS” (Which is lol with the MP loophole), but is 91W/68W barred to women?
Oh wait, I think she can… my bro said he had female classmates in his program at Ft. Sam.
I know she’s going Army, but that is some serious SEMPER FI right there.

Note the fairness doctrine in action….
why did the reporter need to mention that she has until 6-11 to change her mind, or show Mom saying she was trying to talk her out of it?
OneEyedJack on May 30, 2007 at 12:46 PM
Bush 41 spoke of those 1,000 points of light, imploring us all to do something for our country, for each other. Well, ladies and gentlemen, what we have here, with Melissa Garvin is a Super Nova.
May God Bless you and your late husband Melissa, thank you for your sacrifice and dedication.

God bless her, and may the memory of her husband be eternal.
georgej on May 30, 2007 at 3:55 PM
I don’t dare click and watch it.
I get so emotional when I JUST THINK of even ONE of our boys cut down by those sewer rats.
I am thrilled (but not the LEAST BIT SURPRISED)that she is a Marine’s wife. But then, I’m biased.
SEMER FI, sweetheart.
seejanemom on May 30, 2007 at 7:46 PM
