Celebrities have taken as gospel that whatever they say is "important, meaningful, intelligent" because someone wrote it that way. What they forget is that in real life you don't act like a fool or a profound. They are actors for god's sake and their actions speak so much louder than anything that comes out of their mouths.

Why the Cadillac ad for video?

Celebrities always seem to think that their speech can only have the consequence that they desired it to have, not the response that someone who disagrees might make.

As long as it's legal to homeschool, there will be young folks raised in this country to know HOW to think rationally, how to argue reasonably, and how to analyze accurately. And the larger the gap between the public school emotion-based indoctrination and those who learn at home or in private schools, the more likely that the right young adults will move into leadership roles.

Of course, if we could do away with the NEA and the major teacher's unions, everybody would be better off.

I don't worry too much about the celebs who follow the Marx*st crowd, they can't hurt anyone that much.

Andrew is quite the forward thinker and one of the smartest guys I’ve ever talked to. Every HotAir fan should have his Breitbart.com and Breitbart.TV feeds in their RSS readers.

Always it's the RSS readers with you guys. I just surf the sites, y'know? Why do you have to get so organized and everything? It freaks me out.

I don’t think that celebrities understood … that putting out ideas that marginalize them from their core audience, that shows a sense of elitism, is probably not in their best interest.”

And some will never understand - just ask Big Ro.

I have seen celebrities on there, pretty big-time celebrities, and they're smart to convey their humanity in other forms other than political rhetoric
.

Just ask the Chicks. I'll bet their management team went into the hypers when Natalie went on her tirade.

Nothing like a dumbass employee to gum up the works.

Let’s praise the rise of the blogs, and that we can strike back at will to elitists everywhere.

I totally agree. The world of open source software is the same. There are so many ppl looking at the code to fix problems when they appear.
Get you some Linux baby!

Back to subject...It's hypocrisy at the highest level. It's just sad that so many sheeple are oblivious and the media is openly ( to us ) pushing their message. It's is part of the dumbing down of a society..Thanx NEA (and other local govs)!

If the disinformation campaign of the left continues being successful (look around), we will be living in a society of complete idiots!

Who represents us these days?
infidel4life on May 29, 2007 at 11:43 PM

Don't you know? Why, it's the lineup of <strike>losers</strike> candidates who want to be the next POTUS. They feel our pain. They see the "two America's". They want to give us free healthcare. They KNOW the injustice of the wealthy earning so much money while we simpleton's; we, dirty masses; we, struggling to survive, live in squalor and abject poverty. Yes, my friend, our lineup of potential candidates know how we feel. After all, their friends in Hollywood and the MSM have told them. Doesn't that make you feel better?

The older I get, the more I hate elitism. D.C. politicians, celebrities, sports stars, entertainment industry playas, news media executives. They are all (for the most part) so out of touch with the workaday lives of us average Americans. Who represents us these days?

What celebrities mean when they claim criticism of the Admin. results in persecution, is that we everywhere, denounce them. They claim censorship, or whatever, but it's us telling them to shut up. They gave the Dixie Chicks Grammies to compensate for their rejection by their audience. Now that's elitist.

Let's praise the rise of the blogs, and that we can strike back at will to elitists everywhere. I couldn't agree more in the sense that the comments of Hollyweird actors and politicians, in general, are held to a much higher degree of scrutiny than ever before. In the words of Martha, "it's a good thing".
