The more I look at this photo, the more I believe it is a hoax. It’s a trick of perspective. The hog is close to the camera while the boy is standing some distance behind it. Notice that the hog is slightly out of focus while the boy is in focus, a clue that they are not next to each other. The blurry edge of the hog next to the boy is the clue. They should both be in the same focus.

I did this same thing with a Godzilla model when I was a teenager, holding it with my hand in front of the camera and above my head while shooting it against a backdrop of buildings. It impressed all the ten year olds in my neighborhood who told everyone that Godzilla had passed through.
