Kim Jong Ill?

Mmmm yeah. How does a power vacuum atop the NorK leadership pyramid sound before they’ve had a chance to follow through on disassembling that nuke program of theirs?

South Korean intelligence officials are investigating information that North Korean leader Kim Jong-il’s health has deteriorated recently, a source said.

“The National Intelligence Service has obtained information that the reclusive leader Kim’s diabetes and heart disease have been worsening. This information is more reliable than former rumors,” a government official said.

“It is known that U.S. intelligence officials are also looking into similar information,” the official added…

Many experts say Kim’s worsening health will ignite a fierce power struggle between his sons, Kim Jong-nam, who was born to the late Sung Hae-rim, and Kim Jong-chul and Kim Jong-woon, both born to the late Ko Young-hee.

Lock all the kids into a cargo container for 12 hours. Whoever is alive when you open it, gets the country.

I wonder if his “illness” is anything like what killed Yasser Arafat? Mossad? CIA? Hmmmmm. Perhaps he and Castro could both check out on the same day.

JayHaw, or how ’bout if they run the American Gladiator assult course, but with 40 mm grenades instead of tennis balls? Replace the Gladiator and his tennis ball gun with a U.S. Marine and a Mk-19.

I’m reminded of:

“It profits a man not to sell his soul for the entire world, but for Wales?” A man for all seasons.

Lordy what would they be fighting for? The economy is a disaster, by all reports their Nuke program and ICBM programs are both failures, they’ve alienated almost the entire world and even China isn’t very happy with NK. I would expect that anyone assuming power in NK would have to improve the situation in a hurry before some general figured he had enough backing and could do a better job…..very short clock there.

I was all fired up to grill Allah on where, exactly, the NorKs could find a MFer as crazy and sadistic as this worthless f**k, and then I read the piece.

Of course. He has spawn.

Judging by his irrational behavior of the past, don’t be surprised if he’s acquired, and is now dieing of Al Capone’s social disease. Of course, that would never get reported. A leader of his stature must die of a more respectable disease.

They use the nukes as fireworks?

Then there is a battle of titan proportions. After the sky is cracked with a great rift, one will rule the night and the other the day.

He may have been spending too much time with Kim Yong Sik.

Kim Jong-nam, who was born to the late Sung Hae-rim, and Kim Jong-chul and Kim Jong-woon, both born to the late Ko Young-hee.

Anyone know why the Mothers of his children are “late”? Henry VIII type reasons?

I know there is a lot to fear from a civil war and/or chaos there in N. Korea, but it’s hard to imagine the place getting any worse than it already is. If true, this may be a hopeful moment.

One hates to wish ill on others. Well, except Lil Kim.

I just hope the power vacuum and bloodletting destabilize NorK enough for an actual and real revolution that defies all odds and re-associates North Korea with Reality.

Hopefully, after a decade or two, we can get the North Koreans UP to what others consider poverty level.

Heck, if they throw down their psychoses and actually ask other successful countries for help, maybe faster than that.

I’d vote for keeping the container locked for 12 days….underwater.

“This information is more reliable than former rumors,” a government official said.”

Personally, I applaud any advance in the quality of rumors we get, no matter how modest.

JM Hanes on May 29, 2007 at 12:35 AM

How dare you insinuate that Kim is from Illinois.
