He was with State Police at the time, so the response to his accident was immediate rather than delayed by a number of critical minutes for help to get to a remote area. As such, I think the use of the phrase “I should be dead” is perfectly accurate.

Furthermore, one can technically break 15 bones in 18 places. He broke a few of his bones twice.

Let’s not dump on him too much. He made a costly mistake; who hasn’t? The only difference is that his bit him really hard. I’ve met him and performed for him several times, and he is a nice, well-intentioned man. I don’t think too much of his politics, but the ad shows him for who he is 100%. Good PSA.

These idjits managed to do it all at once. Excessive speed, no seatbelts, driving while distracted ( cellphone ) … if they had been mere citizens, I bet they would have probably failed a DUII test as well.

Actually he was stupid to have a New Jersey State Trooper do the driving.

Allowing New Jersey State troopers to do anything, including continue to draw paychecks, is stupid. That lot were so obnoxious that NOPD and FEMA kicked them out of the Katrina aftermath cleanup.

They then proceeded to drive back the NJ at 80+ mph, blue lights flashing … more than one state police org. threatened to jail the lot if they ever returned.

So literally, one of the most dangerous places is to be between Dr. Corzine and a TV camera. If he was serious, he would not allow ANYONE to drive on the NJT, it is survival of the fittest the closer you get to NYC. The craziest driving I have ever seen.

I think it was the cell phone conversation rather then the speed.

Like Corzine’s driver, if you’re driving that fast you’re endangering the lives of the rest of us on the road, and then there’s that little breaking the law thingy.

His greatest threat to his life and to the public is letting Jersey Troopers drive him around. At least Bush drives himself around his property, seat belt or not is not the question. It’s the speed.

They had a Senate race in Nebraska a long time ago and one of the candidates took major criticism because he did a campaign ad in which he was driving his van, but didn’t have a seatbelt on. He lost but I don’t think the ad itself was the reason.

President Bush is underfire because in the past week or so an ABC news camera caught him driving with no seat belt on.
