Video: An important message from Vicente Fox
posted at 11:25 am on May 26, 2007 by Allahpundit
Supposedly this aired yesterday on Telemundo.
Why doesn’t he just petition Congress to annex Mexico?
Update: Ah, the perfect companion story. Mitch McConnell flips Republican voters the bird by essentially daring them to vote out the amnesty wing of the party.

Blowback

Yep. There’s a flaw: making the boat payment, the mortgage on the 3000 Sq. Ft. gypsum and stick palace, the golf-club membership, the two new cars.
Or, you could make sacrifices like a man, your wife could stay home and raise and school your children rather than subcontracting that primary responsibility, you could take bologna sammiches to work instead of heading to Chez Denaro for lunch, and otherwise fulfill your responsibilities to your children rather than indulging every whim. Just my opinion.
HerrMorgenholz on May 28, 2007 at 8:16 AM
Okay, so can YOU point me to the hot, nubile, educated twentysomething American woman that doesn’t want to have a career so she can stay at home with the 5 kids in a 1,500 sq. ft. townhouse, and won’t screw around on me while I’m working 60+ hour weeks to pay for those kids’ college? ‘Cause I’d love to meet her…
Seriously.
Please post pictures of these great-looking young American women raised on a steady diet of anti-family man smart/woman smarter feminism in her favorite music, movies, TV, and magazines on Flickr and Photobucket.
I’m not kidding.

Excellent points! For the boomer generation we had a generation of parents who did everything you said and more. Color television? Not until I was 12 – too expensive. A/C and FM radio in our little B210 Datsun that moved five of us around the country? Too expensive – got to save for college? Mom working? Not until the last of us had left the nest.
Best lesson from this? I was able to do almost the same thing in terms of having a mom at home for the kids and sacrifice the luxuries willingly because I knew it was the right thing for the long term.
It is in the younger generation’s hands now. Its members must make a choice and decide if you can walk the walk and not just talk the talk.
Bradky on May 28, 2007 at 12:39 PM
Come on now… go out and find them. They are there. You seem to be doing the fast food request. Quit being lazy about it and go into the world meet them. Waiting for a woman to come to you is a guarantee to be waiting a long time… that’s one thing that hasn’t changed with modern society!
Bradky on May 28, 2007 at 1:05 PM
Cop out much?
Put up or shut up.
ScottMcC on May 28, 2007 at 1:22 PM
You are asking to see pictures first. That pretty much says it all.
Eharmony drive through may I help you? “Yes I’d like the good looking chick in the number one combo, has to be willing to have five kids and stay home” Okay drive on up, that’s going to be 9.95……
Geez
Bradky on May 28, 2007 at 1:25 PM
You most certainly may not meet her. She’s my beautiful wife. And they are out there. Women who want something other than a self-indulgent, me me me guy are easily found. I’d try the nearest church……
HerrMorgenholz on May 28, 2007 at 2:57 PM
Now that we’ve established that Kralizec, Speakup, HerrMorgenholz, and Bradky are all monoliths in their 60s, is anyone under the age of room temperature willing to admit that the majority of immigrant women have such vastly different attitudes about family, love, sex, children, and career than the overwhelming majority of American women born to American Boomer parents?
ScottMcC on May 28, 2007 at 4:25 PM
If you’ve seen that commercial for a bladder control product where the old guys are driving around in the convertible all happy and everything you know who Kralizec, Speakup, HerrMorgenholz, and I really are! ;)
But I will answer your question with a question. If the vast majority of women born to Boomers act the way you describe wouldn’t you have to place some of the blame on the males born to boomers? What qualities about them make them seem less viable to be responsible husbands and fathers to lots of kids? Can they give up their toys and expensive hobbies to be a family man?
And to be fair many of the boomers weren’t the shining light of moral behavior and are in part responsible for raising some kids who are confused or mixed up about relationships. But not all boomers raised their kids in homes with divorce or crazy drama. In any case, at some point an adult lets that go and moves on…
I have two daughters in their twenties and have met lots of their friends. While it is certainly not a scientific conclusion I can say that the basic desire for a reliable husband and father is not that much different than it was in the old days. Careers are important but many see having kids a good enough reason to drop out of the work force to raise the kids – late twenties seems to be a more preferred age to have kids.
As far as the immigrants who are of Hispanic origin I think the higher birthrate may be due in part to their religious beliefs. Lots of Catholics south of the border. Just a thought as to the one of the possible reasons.

Translation: “I don’t want to answer this kid’s question because the fact is that most young American women are more Lindsay Lohan than June Cleaver so I’ll try to look smart and pull that high school debating team crap I learned right after the Earth cooled.”
It’s your generation that taught my generation, grandpa. Hopefully someone at Cornell or Berkeley will do a study proving Those Darn Kids(tm) have an ancient evolutionary predisposition to “toys and expensive hobbies” and your generation will be off the hook for why America/Western Europe is full of women and men that are only interested in singular pursuits.
Then again, that won’t explain Those Darn Mexican Catholics(tm)
ScottMcC on May 28, 2007 at 6:03 PM
First, let me say, that HerrMorgenholz is a virile man in his 30′s, not some ancient monolith. And while I’m not as hot as I once was, I am intelligent, do possess a degree, and decided that when I had kids, I should be the one to stay home and raise them. Old fashioned? Maybe. But look at what the alternative has wrought. Overweight, bratty, kids. If I’m going to have children, I’m going to raise them, not some day care center.
ritemama on May 28, 2007 at 6:10 PM
So I take it your answer to my question is no? Okay it all makes sense. I did answer your question but you don’t like the answer. So now you are mad because the boomers spoiled you rotten – what a travesty! Congrats you have joined the “I’m a victim club” – it had to be someone else’s fault.
Bradky on May 28, 2007 at 6:10 PM
I’m confused now. Are you saying he had a forged AARP card that day we drove up and down the coast?
LOL – just kidding you.
Bradky on May 28, 2007 at 6:13 PM
Oh crap. You fired up my wife. Nice job, Scott. But the homemade bread is wonderful…..
HerrMorgenholz on May 28, 2007 at 6:14 PM
Old is as old does, Bradky. Kinda like stupid… ;-)
HerrMorgenholz on May 28, 2007 at 6:15 PM
And you didn’t learn a darned thing there, Junior.
HerrMorgenholz on May 28, 2007 at 6:17 PM
Fixed it for ya, grandpa.
And I don’t see any pics of all these hot American-born women willing to give up “everything” to be a stay at home mommy for a brood of five yet.
ScottMcC on May 28, 2007 at 10:27 PM
Funniest threadjack EVAH!
RushBaby on May 28, 2007 at 11:19 PM
You’re the man now, dawg.
ScottMcC on May 29, 2007 at 1:26 AM
I have no clue where you live but I can tell you that if your eyes and mind are open a great woman is out there for you.
I have found more than a few.
She can be found where ever you happen to be.
Just be open, friendly and out there so she can run into you.
Anywhere.
Its a simple equation, men offer, women choose.
So…offer!
Speakup on May 29, 2007 at 1:45 AM

Well, I guess with the software on this comment thread, it DOESN’T…oh well…sentiments extended, even if the fingers are broken. (The bird I made really was a thing of beauty!)
seejanemom on May 29, 2007 at 8:20 AM
We can’t get the border closed because it is not politically correct to state the proper way to do it either in the real world or in this blog.
It’s no wonder we have 12 million more illegal aliens here.
Don’t protect the border that wouldn’t be nice!
It’s time to face facts and do what needs to be done.
The border would be secure in less than 3 months if anyone had the balls to do it.

I would LOVE to meet the chick that is h0t, a Christian, Conservative and smart.
I haven’t met her yet (Well, when I have, she is married or engaged). I can get usually 2 out of 4 and sometimes 3 out of 4.
Tim Burton on May 29, 2007 at 7:15 PM
I was already aware of the preference many American women have for pursuing their “career” while their womb shrivels.
