Here’s ireagan’s second political Mac parody. Explained: Why some liberals call themselves “progressives.” It’s good stuff.

How did they get Richard Dreyfuss to look so young?

Awesome.

But almost too true to be funny. I’m really curious – would even most liberals argue with the truth of that ad?

Great, now I’m down to within 1/2 of a Mac ad parody of punching my monitor. I sure hope it doesn’t happen at work…they’re touchy about such things.

James on May 25, 2007 at 12:44 PM

That actually is pretty good….

Tim Burton on May 25, 2007 at 12:45 PM

I could maybe agree with the ad if not for the current state of the border. Neither party cares for national security at this point.

Ahhh… but you need to get in touch with your Non Violent progressive side…

you know the one that goes to PEACE protests and throws rocks at cops…oh wait…

or… the one that is so Anti War that they want us to pull out of Iraq RIGHT NOW, so we can go invade Darfur… uhhh…crap…

But whatever you do… don’t get in touch with your Christian side… you know that evil belief that has you… turn the other cheek?…

Never mind… I’ll shut up now…

I never understood what mooning someone had to do with being a Christian.

Rosies so called writers could learn a lot from the writers that made this clip. That is if Rosies groupies so called writers could learn anything other than lies and exaggerations.

Love it! Would share it with my friends at work, but alas, my work, too, blocks YouTube. *sigh*

MsUnderestimated on May 26, 2007 at 2:33 AM

So far, no blockage on youtube. Sweet. A Mac ad that doesn’t make me want to puke.

Turning the other cheek is actually an insult to your attacker.

From Wikipedia:

They note that at the time of Jesus, striking someone deemed to be of a lower class with the back of the hand was used to assert authority and dominance. If the persecuted person “turned the other cheek,” the discipliner was faced with a dilemma. The left hand was used for unclean purposes, so a back-hand strike on the opposite cheek would not be performed. The other alternative would be a slap with the open hand as a challenge or to punch the person, but this was seen as a statement of equality. Thus, they argue, by turning the other cheek the persecuted was in effect demanding equality.

Just thought you might like to know.
