Oh hell yeah I did! I didn’t realize it at first, but I got this chill up my back and realized what it was. Too cool!

Just got back from seeing it again and I picked up quite a bit more.

Awsome movie.

Could well be something to do with the crap riders they attach to bills to ram bad law through or kill good law with poison pills though.

As Disney World has been a sort of second home to me since I was 2, any ref to my favorite ride just tickles me to no end. And this series makes more than enough inside refs to the ride.

I agree Fred’s “da man,” but will Newt or Mitt bring in any independents or left-of-centers?

I think that Fred! will have plenty of backers before the election and with either Newt or Mitt’s supporters coming on board he can very easily win against the witch or the muslim.

Of course I may be letting my hopes get in the way of reason!

To me, looking at candidates, it’s Fred, Mitt, Hunter, or Tancredo.

Sorry to burst your bubble (Well, I’m not really sorry), but freddie boy is not a candidate. He is a mouth. A talking head. A person who feels the need to fake out his supporters. For some reason he wont say that he will announce. I think it is because he is afraid to answer for his piss poor record.

Fred/Newt/Romney (in that order) is the only salvation for the Republicans. It is also the only chance that this country, as we have known it, to survive.

Now, about freddie boy. Does he EVER say anthing original? As far as I am concerned, he’s a day late and a dollar short on this immigration bill.

Comparing the East India Trading Company to contemporary concepts of “big business” is specious at best. What they had was a true MONOPOLY, and were quite vicious about it. They were little better than pirates, themselves.

The movie isn’t a lib slap at Big Business, and if you saw politics in it, you’re spending WAY too much time absorbed in politics. If Medved said that…he is too. With respect to both of you.

Who else are PIRATES gonna have as an “enemy”, historically speaking?
I mean, it’s a stretch anyway to have pirates as protagonists…but it’s called “suspension of disbelief”.

Umm, I don’t want it thought that I’m calling all Ron Paul backers geeks. Just the ones who are gaming the polls. I understand the libertarian reasons for supporting him, even if I heartily disagree with some of them. It’s really too bad, because while he has put himself in the spotlight as a world-class crank, he’s right about a few things.

I listened to a Michael Medved review and he said that “Pirates III” is a dog. You’re going to waste 2 hours of your life. He gave it 1 and 1/2 stars.

2 hours and 45 minutes, actually.

I saw it last night and it was good for a summer blockbuster. Still not sure if I liked it or loved it though. Definitely didn’t LOVE!!! it.

Part of me was annoyed that the big bad guy pulling all the strings was the head of the “East India Company” (that info was available in Pirates II, so no one should worry that I’m spoiling the movie). I just hate it when liberal anti-business politics slop over into my mindless summer movies.

If Fred? loses, then perhaps we could make him the next Ambassador to the UN. Truth to power anyone?

I still like the ring of Thompson/Hunter. Nothing against Romney; he’d be great on the ticket.

To the topic at hand: I followed the link to the senate vote site. It’s a mixed bag for sure. The problem is that for senators there might be great things in a bill and a couple of crappy things. You vote for it ’cause it’s the best you’re gonna get. We have to look at the man here and not just a couple of cherry picked votes.

Phred has plenty of time and right now he’s getting MORE attention by not running. Timing people, timing.

Anyway, one of my favorite tactics is to watch other fencers who I am going to face later Fight…

Reason? I can see your tactics, your strengths, your weaknesses… and figure out how to beat you.

This election cycle started WAY earlier than any other in history… IMO he’s just sittin back, watching the fight… letting them tear each other up…

Would I like to see him announce? Sure… do I understand why this may be a very good tactic? definatly.
