Gas guzzlers attend Al Gore event
posted at 12:27 pm on May 25, 2007 by Ian
Zombie was at an Al Gore book signing and speaking event Wednesday and caught several pictures of the parking lot. You would think the lot would be full of 60-100 MPG cars like this one:
Well, if you thought so, you’d be wrong. Turns out that was probably the only car that got great gas mileage. It turns out the lot had just as many, if not more, SUVs than sedans:
Remember the cardinal law of the Church of Liberalism: Do as I say, not as I do.
Check out the rest of Zombie’s album, which includes a photoshop contest.

I missed my chance. A card table selling carbon offsets and a Master Card/Visa machine. Could have retired.

Missed my chance. A card table with a Master Card/Visa scanner, selling carbon offsets. Could have retired.

Oh, such a big surprise.

You have to understand, the SUV is the only commercially available vehicle large enough to carry their egos.
OT: There was a liberal op/ed in my local paper today regarding the Valerie Plame (non)affair full of half-truths and outright lies. I’m planning on writing a letter to the editor to attempt to set the record straight (or at least get the truth out there). I’m having trouble finding a good source for the actual details about what happened and who did what. If anyone knows of a good source for that information that hasn’t been tainted by a liberal “bring down Bushco” agenda, I’d appreciate the link.

Is Algore Goracle in the back of that duper-Prius? If he isn’t, there’s no way it’s getting 100 mpg.

Wasn’t Gore a big proponent of the low-water toilets that in reality you have to flush 3 or 4 times, thereby using probably at least twice as much water? Besides all the pain and money spent on clogs and overflows. We had a plumber tell us recently there have been big problems in commercial buildings with the eco-friendly toilets.

Well we all know the liberal golden rule is: Do as I say, not as I do!

We have a local Food Co-op in my hometown. You know, where “common” people are supposed to buy and sell “local” goods all in the name of Mother Gaia?
Well a few points:
1. Prices are sky high
2. Food comes from 1000′s miles away and is geared towards the NPR dinner club member. If it comes from India, it must spiritually nourishing, right?
3. The parking lot is packed with SUVs–even in spots marked “compact cars only”
4. Most of the patrons and all of the staff have a ghoulish look to them. In fact, I refer to them as ghouls. They need to eat more red meat and potatoes.
Hypocritical Lefties is a dog-bites-man topic, but never wears thin.
My former boss and former friend was ranting about the evils of Bushco and the evils of Conservatives while we were having a glass of wine. As we left the bar, she, still ranting, walked to her SUV and I to my compact car…she and her leftist hubby have 3 large homes and 4 vehicles, 2 of which are SUVs and two are Audi’s. I am pretty sure I saw a “Be a Yocal, Buy Local” bumper sticker on one their Audis

You guys don’t understand. These were dumb liberals coming to the sermon to be lectured so they could become smart liberals. They all went out and traded in their minivans and SUVs for hybrids right afterwards. Honest.

Someone should go there and write down every license plate there and put a post on the net showing their gas mileage.

I only say this because putting the number on a bumper sticker could be considered vandalism.

That’s because you eat meat, you murdering warmonger. If you had a nice vegetarian lifestyle, that wouldn’t be a problem (not to mention you’d probably only need one sheet to wipe as well).

I have an idea:
Show up and set up a card table selling carbon offsets along with a Master Card/Visa machine. You can probably retire.

I’m out in L.A. at the moment, home turf of the North American moonbat, and I’ve been endlessly amused at how common these sorts of hypocrisies are.
My favorite so far has been the Hummer I saw – the original, the big old gas guzzler – with a classic “No Blood for Oil” bumper sticker, right next to “Run Hillary Run!”
Considering the car get’s like 4 feet to the mile, it’s possible the guy was just a conservative with an ironic sense of humor.
But I doubt it.

I need a “My Carbon Footprint is Bigger Than Yours” bumper sticker for my gas-guzzling, carbon-producing, eco-unfriendly SUV.

Kinda reminds me of Sheryl “one sheet of toilet paper” Crow selling out her song “Everyday Is A Winding Road” to sell Suburu’s gas guzzling SUVs. Typical liberal…..anything for a buck!

I’ve checked that out before. Definitely good for a laugh. The concourse of hypocrisy.
