Rosie whines about Elisabeth, hints that she’s left “The View”

Oh, the pathos.

Rosie, Please remove yourself from all that makes u unhappy. U deserve better. I am just sick about what has happened. U can fix it. Move on, Surround urself w/ good. U r important and LOVEDknowthat.

indeed

*
Dear Ro..Wow what a hot topic segment today. Was stunned the way EH was going at u. U have said she is ur friend-.I would not want a friend like her.
I could hear in your voice the pain u feel PEACE2U

shock mostly

I like that some of her fans use the “you = u” abbreviation, too, for extra commiseration value. Later:

ro
Watch. Stunned. wow cubed.
I would walk.
work isn’t worth that battle

agreed

*
Rosie! Will you be back on The View? When?

no idea

*
Your hurt feelings by EH are an example of your geniuneness and why I applaud your decision to leave. The fight today was painful for anyone who cares about you. Please walk away. It’s not worth it.

well u know
when its time 2 go

Lots more at the link, including the long-awaited revelation about who the terrorists are. Try to square this circle:

i totally agree with your assesment of the troops in Iraq. terrorism is using voilence to acheive a political end…is war not voilent? are we not using it to acheive a political end?

desmond – yes

*
Honestly, who is the coward when are you afraid to answer your own question? WHO ARE THE TERRORISTS? You said it. Take responsibility for your actions.

the cowards who sent r troops to this war

those men r the terrorists

So the troops aren’t terrorists because … they’re only following orders? “Wow cubed.”

Allah, this is why I’m encouraged by the left’s actions and words. I’m pretty optimistic, in fact. The entire human universe is watching these people make fools of themselves. That’s why we’ll win….unless these nutcases manage to get our narrow asses blown to smithernes first!

Actually, this is Elisabeth’s fault. Truly without class.

Having a battle of wits with a defenseless person just makes Elisabeth look bad.

natesnake on May 24, 2007 at 8:53 AM

Awwww, the poor big bully crying about the little blonde girl who hurt her wittle fewwings. Was she wallowing in her little jar of hurt emotions when she told Hassleback numerous times to shut up???

What a loser, I mean, Barbara should be embarrassed to be associated with such a fat smelly loser, and that’s all Rosie is…

Sorry, let out my inner Trump there for a second.

benrand on May 24, 2007 at 8:57 AM

Rosie should stick to discussing topics she knows:

- Fudge Rounds
- Fragle Rock Seasons 2 and 4
- jogging pants
- crayons (purple and yellow)
- toes and how they look like little space aliens
- Fudge Rounds
- breathing thru your mouth
- envelopes
- differences between butter and margarine
- pie

natesnake on May 24, 2007 at 9:00 AM

Oi.

First of all, how did Rosie get anywhere in life being so illiterate? That’s not netspeak, that’s a problem.

Second, I think it is such an amazing example of how people behave (particularly bullies and liberals). Rosie gets to go off on anyone for any reason, overshouting and intimidating and the second anyone with the Malkins (sorry, saw this on the other thread. Priceless!) stands up to her she’s the victim, the hurt one. All of her fans are so shocked at what EH ‘did to her’, but are blind to how their idol treats everyone else. Then, when it becomes clear that she doesn’t get this unchallenged podium anymore, she’s going to take her ball and go home.

And who will be blamed if Rosie doesn’t come back? Elizabeth. Sheesh.

It’s a sad state of our lives these days when such a person holds sway over so many people.

Darksean on May 24, 2007 at 9:04 AM

So the troops aren’t terrorists because … they’re only following orders? “Wow cubed.”

See, I just had that discussion with my husband yesterday in asking him how else in the world her question could be taken. And I’m having a hard time with that one.

Does this mean the Nazis weren’t all that bad. After all, they were only following orders. I mean maybe we should support them, but just not support their gassing of millions of Jews.

How can you support men and women you believe are killing 655,000 “mothers” and “father” on the basis of their orders?

Esthier on May 24, 2007 at 9:09 AM

I’m amazed at that actually how obnoxious Rosie actually was towards Elisabeth.

I guess in a PC world, Rosie IS right !! (OK, but not in reality!!!) I thought EH was great and I cannot believe that Rosie is still on the show after yesterday.

ABC, did ya REALLY think that Rosie’s getting the ratings there??? Good for TV???

C’mon people, that was about as awkward as could be.

I think the “Elisabeth, I don’t need you to allow me to clarify my comments. I just wanted you to agree with me because that’s what a friend does”.

As Michael Corleone said, “Keep your friends close and your enemies closer”.

WWOW, They’re REALLY close!!!

Please tell me that Rosie will announce that she’s leaving today. I can see it now, Elisabeth “caused her to leave”.

HarryStar on May 24, 2007 at 9:10 AM

The best part is when she evokes the, and I quote her, “fat loudmouth, lesbian” defense when she gets in a jam.

Too bad she’s not a person of color and short, that would get her two more pity cards to play if she lived in Massachusetts.

Alden Pyle on May 24, 2007 at 9:12 AM

The gasbag said something interesting. She said that every timje she “defended” her views, she was seen as picking on “poor little Elizabeth.”

And that’s it in a nutshell. O’Bloviator can never defend anything without personally attacking someone.

She framed it immediately yesterday with her portrayal of Hasselbeck’s postion as “Republican crap.”

That sets the tone for a civil discussion for sure.

Rosie is a flaming idiot. A self-imported delusional dirtbag.

drjohn on May 24, 2007 at 9:15 AM

Oh yes, by the way, I haven’t seen anybody here stating the obvious yet, BUT….

That 655,000 number of Iraqi dead…That’s the number that the “liberal” group put out which is based upon interviews, isn’t it?

I “believe” the number is much less than that…Anybody???

“But that’s not the point Elisabeth…Whether it’s 70,000 or 650,000, they’re still killed by the terrorists…Er Um…the soldiers”.

Facts…eh, who cares about em’!!!!

HarryStar on May 24, 2007 at 9:15 AM

No, no, the only troops who aren’t terrorists are the dumb rednecks, or the poor inner city youths who were duped into joining. These are the unfortunate, uneducated children who have no other choice in life but to be exploited by the military. Remember, the moonbats want the troops to shoot their officers?

But the left supports them, just like they support those poor African babies they like to adopt, then hand of to a nanny…. My head is spinning – oh well, I’m off to support my 3 adopted illegal undocumented workers.

INC on May 24, 2007 at 9:19 AM

Now hold it!
Didn’t Rosie admit to using a form of terrorism to intimidate a classmate of her son’s to force him to back off bullying the delicate little lad?
If 200-pound-plus Rosie looming over and snarling at a little elementary school kid isn’t a violation of the Geneva Conventions on the use of excessive force, then what is?
She didn’t restrain herself from going directly into Sherman tank mode when it came to an IMPLIED or POTENTIAL threat to her wee tyke, so who is she to whimper that other people are violent? A lot of people would not have chosen to address the school-yard kerfluffle in that egrecious a manner. (giving the boy some useful grappling tips would be higher on the list).
Soldiers are far more aware of the usefulness of sage negotitations to avoid unnecessary bloodshed – it’s their blood that bleeds first after all; they just don’t go all weak-kneed when it’s clear that only a fight to win is the solution.
Yet, Rosie showed none of those admirable skills or tactics when her kid was even remotely inconvenienced.

naliaka on May 24, 2007 at 9:25 AM

Did someone already mention this? Isn’t the 650,000 figure from that LANCET mag discredited study?
Isn’t there a recent article that displays the Lancet’s retraction and the condemnation of the faulty/dishonest methodology apperently used to produce that figure?
Elizabeth should hold that up and read it. The audience is ignorant – as in uneducated. The media is not informing them, just smothering us all with suffocating fluff.

naliaka on May 24, 2007 at 9:29 AM

The only people who support that disgusting fat slob are those who feel empowered by her bullying. Can you imagine her poor kids growing up with that lunacy? Then there are the kids who benefit from her charities. One day they are going to have to square their appreciation for her help against the insanity she spouts.

What the heck does “cubed” mean?

Stupid fat mouthed Rosie is like all liberal pukes. They wallow in victimhood like pigs in a sty. She is setting her kid up to be a victim so she can practice her natural inclinations to be a bully. A few years ago there was a story from back east about two lesbians who wanted their child to be born a deaf-mute so he would understand the plight of others. Liberalism is a sickness. Rosie is stupid. And her kid will be raised to be a professional victim.

Rosie’s version of success …..

Move from one project to another, talk louder than anyone else, shock the viewers, ridicule management, blame your failure on others, trash your co-workers, play the poor fat lesbian card and then move on.

A recipe than works everytime ….. like recycled fruitcake.

csdeven on May 24, 2007 at 9:47 AM

Well, when there’s life there’s hope. It’s not a given. A little teenager rebellion in this case would be right. The kid might show a little backbone like little Mr. Peach Fuzz or whatever it was who finally got the chance to show everyone what he thought of the adorable honor by giving everyone the finger.
It’s possible when the kid is old enough, (about 15) he’ll start hanging out at the Fire Station, learning atrocious, over-the-top, macho guy things.

The Unabrewer on May 24, 2007 at 10:23 AM

I think it’s better to call it Ro-ku, mostly because it’s nowhere near haiku.

Haiku is a strict form of poetry consisting of 3 lines comprising only of 5, 7, and 5 syllables each. And as there’s little chance Rosie can spell the word syllable, I am not surprised she doesn’t get this right either.

For instance:

Fat, loud lesbian
Plays the victim when attacked
Trutherism lies

Viper1 on May 24, 2007 at 11:16 AM

A slightly off-topic point – to liberals (and anyone against the war):

Please just stop with the “love the troops, hate the war” crap. Please.

It’s a lie. I know it and you know it. It is textbook intellectual dishonesty, intended only to make *you* feel better. You don’t love the troops – you hate them.

Be honest and say so. It’s better. Trust me on this: while you’re marching in the streets, burning the flag, and cursing the President – all while claiming to “love” the terrorists troops … they aren’t feeling the love.

It just isn’t possible to absolute hate the war and love the troops. It doesn’t work. Think for a second. Imagine yourself doing something that means a great deal to you. Imagine investing your whole life on it – imagine actually being willing to sacrifice your life for it. Imagine that it’s what you do every day.

Now imagine someone hating it to a degree that you can’t even imagine, but telling you they “love you.” Do you feel loved?

It’s a lie. A lie I’ve been on the receiving end of. And I can honestly say I’d prefer to just be spit on.

At least it’s honest.

I didn’t expect HA to give them ink today because rumor had it you were not around. Did you come back early just (hehehe) for Rosie?

There were other questions which Rosie chose to print on her blog without a reply from her. Am I the only one who’s furious over the fact that no one is refuting the debunked 650k number? I must have seen clips of the battle 50 times in 24 hours on Fox (and I’m sure it’s everywhere else too), and not once did someone say “not to mention that Rosie is lying when she says 650k, the number is actually more like 1/10 of that, and most of the killing is done by the enemy”

RightWinged on May 24, 2007 at 1:36 PM

I am, RightWinged. But how does one battle against a faith? How does one fight against someone who (if I understood it correctly) tells someone to think with their hearts and not their minds?

eforhan on May 24, 2007 at 1:53 PM

RightWinged,
I’m frustrated as well by the silence regarding this much touted figure. Check her “sources and methods”. Apparently the group who came up with that figure used a “cluster” method wherein they asked household members to count how many deaths they’d had in a 4 1/2 yr. period. They then divided those deaths into pre and post invasion and extrapolated from there. Math not being my strong suit, I wish that someone would apply this same fuzzy math to Manhattan pre and post 9/11. The number killed in the Twin Towers on that one day alone, extrapolated out, might make the “total NYC deaths for a 4 1/2 year period” in the millions, using their methods, anyway.

Excerpt used by Rosie on her blog to “back up” her bogus body count:
“…Of the 629 deaths they recorded among these families since early 2002, 13% took place in the 14 months before the invasion and 87% in the 40 months afterwards.
Such a trend repeated nationwide would indicate a rise in annual death rates from 5.5 per 1,000 to 13.3 per 1,000 – meaning the deaths of some 2.5% of Iraq’s 25 million citizens in the last three-and-a-half years.
The researchers say that in nearly 80% of the individual cases, family members produced death certificates to support their answers.
Reliable data is very hard to obtain in Iraq, where anti-US insurgents and sectarian death squads pose a grave danger to civilian researchers…”

I love it. Brilliant.

NightmareOnKStreet on May 24, 2007 at 2:03 PM

Am I the only one who’s furious over the fact that no one is refuting the debunked 650k number?
RightWinged on May 24, 2007 at 1:36 PM

No, this has been driving me nuts too. It demonstrates just how effective a figure like O’Donnell can be if given the right forum, despite her obvious shortcomings.
Ro proposes three items off the anti-war agenda:
1)the war has been a pointless, ill-considered waste of lives and treasure
2) 655,000 innocent Iraquis have been slaughtered by Bush’s terrible war
3) Our troops, who did all this killing, are no better than the terrorists of 9-11, worse even
So everyone jumps on item 3 because it’s the most outrageous, a few who follow the news outside the MSM bubble recognize item 2 as an obvious lie as well, but item 1?
That assertion becomes further embedded into the national consciousness as gospel truth.
Tell three lies and you can be sure one of them will stick.

billy on May 24, 2007 at 2:17 PM

I’m really depressed that she’s leaving. I’ve been waiting for that “You can’t handle the truth!” moment when Rosie screams “Yes, I called them terrorists! They work for Bushitler who is the biggest terrorist of all!” or some such nonsense. Come on, you know she’s been wanting to say it all along.

But this, I love: “Your attitude has changed and you are no longer able to maintain your anger.”

What is wrong with these people, wanting to “maintain” anger? Either you’re angry about something, or you’re not; whatever happened to getting angry, dealing with it, and moving on? Freaking rage-aholics…

Ah – and there’s the answer! This is 100% accurate. Secular neo-liberalism (whatever you want to call the current strain of moonbattery – it sure ain’t very liberal anymore) is in fact a religion. A fundamentalist religion. An extremist fundamentalist religion.

That is precisely the reason they avoid all facts – and ignore the ones they run into. Of course they intellectually *know* that 650,000 dead doesn’t make a lick of sense; but they BELIEVE it. Most of them simply *have* to recognize just how much of “global warming” is somewhere between stupidly silly and silly-stupid … but the facts don’t matter.

There is no question that it would be helpful – for the audience – if someone well-versed in actual FACTS (like, um, that heat is actually how you frickin’ MAKE steel, Rosie) were sitting there, correcting each lie or myth or inaccuracy.

It would help the audience. At least the moderates and the thinkers.

But trust me – facts would make no difference to Rosie, and people like her. To be one of them, you MUST have faith, regardless of the facts.

Excellent. Should be narrated on video and posted on YouTube. Or worked into a Vent on HA. I’ve never seen/heard it better said than this.

most people are stupid, and the radical left has captured the hearts and minds of the nation’s stupid.

Anymore, I don’t think that’s true. It looks like a battlefield to me now, where one side is distinguished from the other by the ideas coming out of its collective mouth. It’s pretty clear to me that you can take a brilliant person, fill them with stupid ideas, and suddenly you have an effectively stupid person. Funny, but I used to think that was the cliche.

Now I’m thinking the ‘radical left’ just got to them first.

Ok, Ok, mine is obviously a minority opinion :)

—but I still think people are basically smart, though they seem to have a weird flaw that makes them vulnerable: they seem to automatically assume someone telling them what they want to hear is probably telling the truth.

Heh. No one is allowed to point out that quote might be restated by the single word ’stupid’ :)

Isn’t time Rosie retired to Hollywood Squares? She might need two squares, though.

Hey HA staff.

We’ll start writing poems for you if you’ll respond to all our comments like RO does for her groupies.

Deal?

I rarely associate name calling with someone …but rosie is a true out right bitch. She has some psychiatric issues too with this latest flareup.

I am with Elisabeth..defend your own thoughts rosie, they come out of your mouth..not Elisabeths so STOP blaming her you bitch. And no, this has nothing to do with Elisabeth being innocent nor a christian..this has to do with YOU rosie…you can’t take responsibility for your own thoughts…defend them or BUST…..deal with it.
