That’s even funnier than her Gandhi working at the gas station comment.

saint kansas on May 24, 2007 at 11:50 AM

What is the purpose of that thing?
Another reason NOT to EVER vote for her for anything.
JEEZ!!!

OBX Pete on May 24, 2007 at 11:50 AM

Um..did I miss the “funny” part?

tickleddragon on May 24, 2007 at 11:51 AM

Hillary Idol?

Guardian on May 24, 2007 at 11:53 AM

You guys are a tough crowd.

Allahpundit on May 24, 2007 at 11:54 AM

It was funny. Her campaign machine is working overtime to humanize her and increase her appeal, particularly amongst the young adult online liberal demographic. Not a bad effort, considering how extremely unappealing she is to start with. Takes a LOT, I imagine, to get her to this point. Kudos to her team for managing to make her seem like a real person with an actual sense of humor. Tough, tough job….

aero on May 24, 2007 at 12:01 PM

I’m with Allah – it was amusing.

peski on May 24, 2007 at 12:01 PM

Cute. A little formulaic in her self depricating humor but still cute.

Dash on May 24, 2007 at 12:01 PM

Did she make a visit to a taxidermist or is it just the lighting?

abinitioadinfinitum on May 24, 2007 at 12:03 PM

I’m with you too AP. I didn’t fall in the floor laughing, but it was surprisingly funny for Hillary. Maybe I Dash said, “Cute.”

I think the Glacier would have a harder time making some of you laugh than Kramer at a NAACP conference.

wardrobedoor on May 24, 2007 at 12:06 PM

I like Rush Limbaugh’s submission:

“Baby Got Back”

[snip]

[Sir Mix-a-Lot]
I like big butts and I can not lie
You other brothers can’t deny
That when a girl walks in with an itty bitty waist
And a round thing in your face
You get sprung, wanna pull out your tough
‘Cause you notice that butt was stuffed
Deep in the jeans she’s wearing
I’m hooked and I can’t stop staring
Oh baby, I wanna get wit’cha
And take your picture

[snip]

TheBigOldDog on May 24, 2007 at 12:07 PM

Hey, at least someone in the Hillary campaign can find a funny.

doufree on May 24, 2007 at 12:09 PM

I have a song! How about GODZILLA?

With a purposeful message and a terrible sound, she brings those screaming high tension wires down. Helpless Americans in subway trains, scream bugg eyed as she looks in on them. She picks up a bus and throws it back down, spews her liberal views on a Washington town. Oh O I say she’s got to go….go go GODZILLA! Thanks to BOC for the tune!

soulsirkus on May 24, 2007 at 12:09 PM

It was funny but that only shows that some one in her organization knows she needs to have a sense of humor. She still looked totally wooden and scripted to me.

Ann on May 24, 2007 at 12:16 PM

I’m never ever cheating
I never ever lied
So you can stop asking
Asking me why
Why I never left you
And why I’ve kept it real
And why I’m still with you

Google it

franksalterego on May 24, 2007 at 12:17 PM

I thought it was funny. She was much less scary than in the photo that you always use on the front page, AP.

nailinmyeye on May 24, 2007 at 12:18 PM

Not funny. I didn’t laugh once but I did think of a good song. I think the name of it is Liar.

Glynn on May 24, 2007 at 12:22 PM

Her campaign machine is working overtime to humanize her…Kudos to her team for managing to make her seem like a real person with an actual sense of humor…

aero on May 24, 2007 at 12:01 PM

Looked like CG to me. Some kind of weird science.

RushBaby on May 24, 2007 at 12:23 PM

That WAS pretty funny, especially the part where she was swaying back and forth for a moment.

I wouldn’t mind Hillary as President as long as she governed from a giant projection telescreen and never acutally made live appearances. You know, Oceania-style.

Enrique on May 24, 2007 at 12:30 PM

Just shows you what money can buy, even a personality. Good job from the promo company…like putting lib(p)stick on a pig.

right2bright on May 24, 2007 at 12:34 PM

Someone please help me to know what the point of this video is? It’s worse than Forest Gump.

Editor on May 24, 2007 at 12:34 PM

Disagree vehemently with Hillary’s position on just about everything. Don’t like her much as a person, either.

That said, I gotta give props at least for the attempt. It wasn’t side-splittingly funny, but I smiled.

Now, back to the reality of her positions….

psrch on May 24, 2007 at 12:40 PM

Hillary?
Funny?

Now THATS funny!

OBX Pete on May 24, 2007 at 12:41 PM

The discovery of the so called Hitler Book marked the end of a remarkable hunt through Soviet archives. . . . Perhaps the most disconcerting revelation . . . is that Hitler had a sense of humour, albeit a particularly cold one. —The Times of London.

One night in Berlin, Hitler, Göring, and Goebbels walked into a bar. Noticing that the bartender’s hands were shaking, Hitler asked him what was wrong. “We don’t get too many high-ranking officials of the Third Reich in here,” he said.
“Well, at these prices, I’m not surprised,” said Hitler, pulling out a Luger and shooting him.

I couldn’t have said it better! She’s got a great PR team working for her, all just a small part of what is the Clinton Machine.

4shoes on May 24, 2007 at 12:47 PM

Wait, Hillary and Elton John have to be buds? How bout this?

I’m a bitch, I’m a bitch
Oh the bitch is back
Stone cold sober as a matter of fact
I can bitch, I can bitch
`Cause I’m better than you
It’s the way that I move
The things that I do

soulsirkus on May 24, 2007 at 12:47 PM

Cute. And she definitely needs it.

I still think “And what in my background equips me to deal with evil and bad men?” was hilarious.

Tanya on May 24, 2007 at 12:53 PM

Hillary has no sense of humor, but her staff is aggressively working to craft one. That said, the clip was funny.

As for this;

I wouldn’t mind Hillary as President as long as she governed from a giant projection telescreen and never acutally made live appearances. You know, Oceania-style.

Enrique on May 24, 2007 at 12:30 PM

Don’t even joke about that, Enrique, not funny.

What have you done to the real Allah?????

…And I wanted to laugh really, but it just wouldn’t happen :(

-Wasteland Man.

WastelandMan on May 24, 2007 at 1:07 PM

Well, she’ll never be able to pull that off on the campaign trail. This is all fluff for the idiots. Kinda reminds me of ¿fred? and his pickup truck fakery.

csdeven on May 24, 2007 at 1:26 PM

Comrade Hillary is much funny. Perhaps best joke is how she knows what is like to work for living. That always bring me a laugh to hear.

Hening on May 24, 2007 at 1:26 PM

You know of course, people that submit these examples don’t vote.

Kini on May 24, 2007 at 1:27 PM

The real Allah wouldn’t have capitalized the word “God,” even if it was the first word in a sentence.

Attila (Pillage Idiot) on May 24, 2007 at 1:27 PM

God forgive me, I actually laughed.

At what? Honestly, I don’t care what side of the aisle it’s on, funny is funny and unfunny ain’t. This is worse than the Half Hour News Hour, and even more annoying because you know this was done after polling and analysis determined that she’s stiff and not likable. You can just tell she’s gritting her teeth (though admittedly doing a decent job of hiding it) through the whole thing, as her handlers force her to act like a human being.

RightWinged on May 24, 2007 at 1:27 PM

(And I won’t even touch the question of what “God” it is you’re asking forgiveness from)

RightWinged on May 24, 2007 at 1:28 PM

I liked the part near the end where she seems to have written off the votes of the 5 cretins, i.e., white guys. I wonder if she considers herself a uniter?

huckleberry on May 24, 2007 at 1:29 PM

Oh, man that was pitiful.

It was like somebody’s mom trying to be cool and hip and funny and failing miserably.

I laughed, but not because the clip was intentionally funny.

I laughed because I was embarrassed for her.

Doghouse on May 24, 2007 at 1:34 PM

Arrggggghhhh. Lighten. Up. People.

It was funny. If you can’t understand that and get maybe a little chuckle out of it, you are scarier than she is.

DaveS on May 24, 2007 at 1:39 PM

God help me, I laughed, too. Didn’t want to. Did anyway.

Look, we’re all going to need a generous sense of humor to get through the next couple of Democrat-controlled generations anway, so best start cultivating it now, right?

Kensington on May 24, 2007 at 1:47 PM

DaveS on May 24, 2007 at 1:39 PM

BOO!!!!

OBX Pete on May 24, 2007 at 1:47 PM

Its funny I’ll admit but still in a very calculating way. I’m watching it and picturing her and her advisers sitting in a room systematically walking through each step and polling reactions along the way.

But I guess the alternative is this:

Editor on May 24, 2007 at 12:34 PM

To humanize the candidate. Im sure there are some lefties that are convinced that Hillary eats babies for breakfast. Or even worse had an agreement with Bush at one time in her life.

Its harder to attack someone if they seem less threatening.

William Amos on May 24, 2007 at 1:54 PM

I’m willing to consider that some of you actually did find this funny… but I’m going to need to know why? What about it was funny? I feel like I’m watching that Seinfeld when Elaine can’t understand the stupid cartoon in the New Yorker and they can’t even explain to her why it’s supposed to be funny… She manages to get a meeting with someone at the New Yorker, and has the following exchange:

Mr. Elinoff: So, J. Peterman wants to hire some of our cartoonists to illustrate your catalog?

Elaine: Well we’re hoping that if perhaps that the catalog is a little funnier ,people

won’t be so quick to return the clothes ha ha….For example.. I..I really do….Well I love this one

Elaine shows him the cartoon

Mr. Elinoff: Oh! yeah… That’s a rather clever jab at inter office politics don’t you think.

Elaine: Ahan, Ahan….yeah…Euh but, Why is it that the, that the animals enjoy reading the email?

Mr. Elinoff: Well Miss Benes . Cartoons are like gossamer and one doesn’t dissect gossamer. heh..hemm..

Elaine; Well you don’t have to dissect if you can just tell me. Why this is suppose to be funny?

Mr. Elinoff: Ha! It’s merely a commentary on contemporary mores. (slides the magazine to her)

Elaine: But, what is the comment. (she slides the magazine back to him)

Mr. Elinoff: It’s a slice of life.

Elaine: No it isn’t.

Mr. Elinoff: Pun?

Elaine: I don,t think so.

Mr Elinoff: Vorshtein?

Elaine: That’s not a word…..You have no idea what this means do you?

Mr Elinoff: No.

Elaine: Then why did you print it.

Mr. Elinoff: I liked the kitty.

Elaine: (gets up) You know what? you people should be ashamed of yourself, you know ya doodle a couple of bears

at a cocktail party talking about the stock market. You think you’re doing comedy.

Mr. Elinoff: Actually that’s not bad..

Elaine: Oh! really (laughs) well you know….. I have others

I don’t even see a kitty in this Hillary bit!? What is the funny part?

RightWinged on May 24, 2007 at 2:10 PM

Funny? Maybe. She’s still the friggin’ anti-christ.

james hooker on May 24, 2007 at 2:18 PM

Don’t even joke about that, Enrique, not funny.

But doesn’t she actually seem more human when she’s on video than in person? It’s bizarre.

Enrique on May 24, 2007 at 2:19 PM

csdeven on May 24, 2007 at 1:26 PM

You deliver, as always. Feels like home, now, CS.

tickleddragon on May 24, 2007 at 2:27 PM

And no, folks, I don’t find this the least bit funny. I find Eddie Izzard funny. I find Rowan Atkinson funny. I even find, on rare occasion, Larry the Cable Guy funny. But this is just plain fake and boring.

Now, if she was doing a Pythonesque skit…maybe I’d giggle. More than likely I’d call her a fake then too, but it is worth a try.

Funny? Maybe. She’s still the friggin’ anti-christ.

james hooker on May 24, 2007 at 2:18 PM

I think you’ll find, James, that she’s only got 3 3s on the back of her head.

tickleddragon on May 24, 2007 at 2:32 PM

That did not make me laugh, but she did seem human-like.

I’m sure each segment of her required 30+ takes to make her appear quasi-normal.

As for her theme song, “Baby got back” – Sir Mix A Lot

Right Tracker on May 24, 2007 at 3:26 PM

Eh…Bruce Springsteen’s Thunder Road remains one of my all-time favorite songs. But I still ain’t voting for Bruce for President.

My feelings would be best described by a monologue from the motion picture Austin Powers:

“I’m with it. I’m hip. Taka-taka-taka-taka-taka…”

Seixon on May 24, 2007 at 3:36 PM

Bombshell: Hillary has a sense of humor?

No, Billary does not have a sense of humor.

She has expensive writers, and expensive hair & make-up artists.

If I had to suggest an anthem for Billary, it would have to be this one: http://www.mwcr.org/images/wltdo-joeybark.mp3

SilverStar830 on May 24, 2007 at 3:43 PM

I was ready to laugh…even Rosie can make me laugh despite her idiocy.

But that reminded me of “corporate video” funny. The kinda thing you have to laugh at if you want to suck up to the boss.
