John Amos was one of the bad guys in “Die Hard II” and he was Kunta Kinte as an adult in “Roots.” He also appeared in other feature films and television series and sitcoms.

It was John Saxon who portrayed play boy, “Roper” in Enter the Dragon, and who faught “Bolo” (Yang Tse) in the finale of “Enter the Dragon.”

In real life Yang Tse, who became known as “Bolo Yeung” was the South East Asian Shotokan Karate Champion. He was also a body builder.

Jackie Chan was one of the guards who attacked Bruce Lee and was defeated.

Bob Wall, who played “O’Hara,” the mob boss, renegade Shaolin Mokn Han’s body guard, the guy with the scar on his face, was one of the top karate competitors in the 1970s. He and Chuck Norris often appeared on television and elsewhere back in the 1970s, such as in Hong Kong television, even demonstrating some impressive karate skills, such as kicking a cigarette out of the mouth, etc. Bob Wall is now a successful real estate person in California, I believe.

Sei Kien, who played Han, is a famous Chinese actor.

In the movie “Enter the Dragon” the cobra was devenomed. Lucky for Bruce Lee that it was, for the cobra did bite Brue Lee during the filming of the movie. Also, at the time, many of the Chinese movie companies did not use the same props as western movie companies used, and the bottles used when “Lee” fought “O’Hara” in the martial arts match in which Lee demonstrated his trapping hands techniques, his stop hit techniques, and his extreme hand speed, actually were real glass and Lee was bady injured, requireing stitches.

Just a bit of trivia regarding Bruce Lee and Enter the Dragon.

Let’s not have any ‘ageism’ here; I think most of us caught the stupidity and inaccuracy of using ‘decimate’ to describe a situation where ‘obliterate’ would have been more accurate. Amnesty International are the morons here, not us.

William, that is about as good a list of heroes as I could think of. I just watched Enter the Dragon last night on AMC and am still struck by Bruce Lee’s screen presence. The fight between John Amos and Bolo Yeung is classic too; I think Jack Burton edges Chuck just a bit in screen appeal comparing Invasian USA to Big Trouble in Little China. Chuck just never smiles, even after he single handedly wiped out the invading mercenary army.

James Wong is an excellent David Lopan!

Nevertheless, Jack Burton (Kurt Russel), with his amazing reflexes, caught his knife in mid-air and put Lopan on ice once and for all!

Lopan’s henchmen were formidable to say the least.

I would say that Rosie O’Donnel makes a great powerful evil character with Joy Behar as her sidekick. She is such a mean spirited, hate filled, merciless, inconsiderate, degenerate, cruel, heartless, self absorbed, vindictive, venemous bully, and that’s on a good day, that she would not have to act.

Bill Maher is pretty good playing a villain as well, something he is naturally on his program and in his visits to interview programs, spewing his vindictive, condescending, elitist “I’m above all of you, you idiots, you just don’t get it” routine.

Maher always appears on television spewing hate filled diatribes, sounding like a girlie man, and looking-sitting like a sissy whose undies are riding up his uptight behind, and with a face as if he is smelling the most foul stench of someone’s passed gas, perhaps his own passed gas.

He never appears relaxed. In his face he appears so tense and unhappy. What a horrible life he might be living.

For heroes, Superman is all one needs, but Bruce Lee as the Master of Martial Arts monk, Lee, in “Enter the Dragon” is great, as is Chuck Norris in many of his flicks, such as Delta Force, Good Guys Wear Black, Invasion USA, and others.

Michelle Yeoh in her part in the Pierce Brosnan as James Bond film “Tomorrow Never Dies” as Chinese Super Agent Wai Lin is an excellent hero, as she was in Crouching Tiger; Hidden Dragon.

This brings me back to the philosophical argument from Clerks that asked if it was morally right to destroy the 2nd Death Star, even though the independant contractors hired to build it were innocent victims.

That or people are voting for Cheney as a joke. Heh. He’s so awesomely evil. I could see some of us morons voting for Cheney as a joke at Ace’s, given that Cheney’s cartoonlike evilness has been such a long running joke there.
