Video: Algore’s assault on reason when it comes to Iraq

FNC’s Jim Angle tore apart Algore’s new book “Assault on Reason” on last night’s “Special Report.” The Washington correspondent specifically mentioned a speech Gore gave to AIPAC in 2000 in which the former VP said “as long as Saddam stays in power, there can be no comprehensive peace for the people of Israel or … the Middle East.”
However, Gore’s hypocritical thinking doesn’t end there. In “Assault on Reason” Gore says if President Bush and Vice President Cheney really believe there is a connection between Saddam Hussein and al-Qaeda, “that would make them genuinely unfit to lead our nation.” However, current Democratic Presidential candidate Hillary Clinton, who was First Lady while Gore was Vice President, said the following about the connection between Saddam and al-Qaeda:
SEN. HILLARY CLINTON (D), NEW YORK: He has also given aid, comfort and sanctuary to terrorists, including al Qaeda members.
Yikes.

Historical (hysterical) revisionism. Uh, maybe YOUR people will fall for it, Gorebot, however, those of us with brains in our skulls and long memories will not.

An Inconvenient Goof.

What is worse? The fact that the Dems like Gore are so willing to twist the facts and lie in order to gain power or the fact that 50% of the American voters are going to be blind enough to actually believe them? I have a feeling our liberal posters are going to stay clear of this tread.
Speaking of candidates who have yet to enter the race.

Do you suppose Gore was aware of the double-entendre implicit in his title? It’s a rather funny label to put on one’s own book.

Has anyone else noticed that the whole concept of finding things that are true and calling them “true” is out the window?
I’ve noticed that the MEMRI materials are always strange because the person speaking is usually saying absolutely irrational things, all the while throwing out the words “logical” and “rational,” words one would normally associate with ideas that are “logical” and “rational.” –And now a string of books defending one camp or another on the basis of “reason,” but the positions are demonstrably unsupportable on that basis, or even better, arguable.
So … we’re all agreeing to toss the concept “objective” and redefine it to mean what “subjective” has traditionally meant, and we’re all going to belittle anyone that disagrees with us on the basis that they aren’t rational? We get to do that?
“You disagree with me, therefore you are illogical and not well suited to discuss this matter?”
“My opinion on the global carbon cycle is, by definition, the Rational one, you anti-intellectual twit?”
Seems like things are going to get weird if our political discussions start looking like two drunk Vulcans having an argument at a bar.

I don’t usually make fun of the less fortunite, or let’s say retarded amongst us. But in Al’s case I think it’s warranted. Unless he’s an alcoholic. Which may well be the way the twit handles himself in public.

It’s just a botched joke, come on people.

Man Bear pig is not fit to manage a carbon offset scam, let alone the position of POTUS.

What about this speech?

Does anyone know how to find that video of Gore on the floor of the House or the Senate talking about why the United States will not sign onto Kyoto? Clinton was president at the time. That video is a classic too. I can’t find it anywhere.

“An Inconvenient Truth” is the real assault on reason.

Is it my imagination, or did the typographer on Gore book make the letters ASS bigger than the rest?
profitsbeard on May 23, 2007 at 7:13 PM
I was thinking the same thing. At the very least he forgot the word THE in front of it. That would at least imply the Assault isn’t the book itself (but maybe it is).
Resolute on May 23, 2007 at 7:56 PM
Oops I see the full title does have the word THE in it
Resolute on May 23, 2007 at 7:57 PM
Gore has selective memory and a history revisionist.
What scares me is that people believe him.
From Global Warming Scam to this Assault on Reality and the people that believe the oil companies have the consumer over a barrel, seem to have no grip on common sense.
Just maddening. ۞

Al Gore is a puke of the first order. I honestly believe that the man is not playing with a full deck!
NEMETI IN SYRACUSE on May 23, 2007 at 8:33 PM
Page of CSPAN video links with both Al Gore addressing the House and Al Gore addressing the Senate videos, and links to at least 53 more videos, one of which might be the one he or she is looking for, for Zetterson.

Hey peeps…buy a clue! None of this will be widely reported. The flip-flop of is called ‘insight’ in their camp. They can do no wrong. Yes, they do get a pass. In turn, what the normal everyday American gets is slanted information. Get over it and let us get back to a plan to fight their disinformation campaign.

Reality is an inconvenient truth for Algore.

Zetterson, I got a letter from reader Reuel that saw me trying to find your answer and thinks he found your answer perfectly and asked me to pass it along to you. I’m thinking this might be it, so here it is:
“Here’s the video of Al Gore denouncing the Kyoto protocol that [Zetterson] wanted.”

I didn’t even notice that!
