Look, I hope you’re right, but I live in Brooklyn and work in Manhattan. I’m surrounded by knee-jerk moonbattery every day. I have yet to find a single bona-fide conservative here in almost six years, unless, like me, they’re pretty much keeping it to themselves…

I work in a lot of different offices throughout midtown, and I like to play a little game with myself called How Long Until Someone Says Something Moonbat. On average, it only takes a minute or two on any given day. It’s exhausting.

You’ve obviously had an entirely different experience than I have. I think you’re right about the conservatives keeping it to themselves for the past six years. But sometimes all it takes is for one person to speak the truth and others do chime in.

Day after day I sat in a visitor’s waiting room in a very busy hospital in the city post 9-11. The tv was always tuned to CNN and like you, I’d wait for the moonbats to start in. One day I got there before anyone else and I changed the channel to Fox News. At first no one noticed but as the lull in conversation set in the crowd began complaining about the channel having been changed (and surprisingly no one knew how to change it manually, hehe) Finally someone said, “Oh yeah, they’re ‘fair and balanced’, right.” And I said, “At least they aren’t bought and paid for like CNN!” Over the rumble I continued, “Do you realize that CNN has admitted that it played down Saddam’s atrocities in order to be able to maintain it’s bureau in Bagdad?” Much to my surprise and relief, the rest of the room, who had kept silent for days until that point, chimed in their support for FNC’s unbiased reporting. From that day forward for the remaining couple of weeks in that room (until my family member was released from that floor) I no longer had to suffer through hours of CNN’s skewed coverage and I made a few new friends in the process. Maybe part of the problem is that by our very nature we are conservative (read shy or understated) therefore quieter about speaking out. Some might call it apathetic. I believe in the power of attraction and it works for me – the CNN v FNC was just one example.

The way I see it there is a bully mentallity among the leftards (illustrated by Rosie’s loyal, if brain-dead fans)
We conservatives can’t afford to be the silent majority anymore, or heaven forbid, we will become the silent minority.

I would like to think there is a growing faction of conservatives that may some day be know as “The Loud, Pushy Conservatives“ Then we could have Leftards vs Oxymorons… ;o)

Ouch. I don’t think you need to bash an entire city for the outbursts of some of its kooky audiences, do you? Having grown up 15 mminutes from Manhattan, not to mention witnessing firsthand the bravery & dignity of the people who inhabit that city daily in the days, weeks, and months after 9/11, I think you’re wrong about who you hear cheering Rosie on.

Chances are the audiences are made up more of tourists than locals. I just can’t imagine that the people who see that hole in the skyline every day, where those magnificent towers once stood, have any use for her and her crazy theories.

On the contrary, all I hear from co-workers day-in and day-out is global warming this, Bush is Hitler that. They’ve managed to completely disconnect 9/11 from reality. Yes, they still mourn it, but to them George W. Bush is a far more meaningful focus for their rage and fear than, you know, homicidal Islamic terrorists.

Someone needs to tell her she can absorb others kooky conspiracy theories by just eating their brains, not their entire bodies.

You know, I like to think that Rosie O’Donnell does not deserve the amount of attention this site gives her, but she’s really mainstreaming this idiocy, isn’t she? It’s shocking to me how enthusiastically her audience reacts to her, but then again it is Manhattan, right? Are they really indicative of what’s happening throughout the country?

If you ever wondered what “moving the goal posts” means, just watch Rosie. Everytime she is about to be scored upon, [insert gratuitous sexual pun here], she changes the argument to shift the focus to somewhere else.

Exit question: Isn’t it funny to see two rich people bashing President Bush for being born into a rich family, which is something he couldn’t help?

And seriously, what’s this big deal about those who worked for it versus those who were born into it? If you were born into it, that just means that someone up your family tree did work for it and that the rest made sure the work of their ancestor didn’t go to waste.

Plus, does this mean she resents her own kids, kids who certainly did nothing to earn what their mother makes. Or is it different since their adopted?

O/T, but perhaps the crew of HotAir should send Elisabeth H. some kind of engraved award for her service in “The War Against Rosie”? The intestinal fortitude Elisabeth displays sharing the same oxygen with that smug P.O.S. brings a tear to my eye.
