Hey now, Big A – we did the same in ’04 and ’05. They just can’t seem to figure out fighting us or the Brits or Canadians is not exactly the fast lane to success. I always figured they would have a go at the Pak government. But they have such a comfy quasi-accomodation right now, Iguess they want to try Afghanistan first, then maybe turn back on the Paks. Go figure.

One always hears the so-called experts say that it doesn't help to kill terrorist leaders, because every time you do, a new one takes over. This is clear evidence that such views are nonsense.

In fact, there are good reasons to judge that we are winning this global war against terrorists. And not only because we have arrested or killed two-thirds of the middle- and lower-level leaders, as well as some of their superiors and commanders. It is because terror groups all have vulnerabilities. They are human organizations with human problems; al Qaeda is no exception. For all the talk of the new “flatter” al Qaeda organization, rarely does anyone ever mentions that a flatter organization means less organization, and that in global war, that cannot help Osama bin Laden.

What should be a bigger concern for the Z man is that the radical mosque in Pakistan is really pushing Mushariff hard and they have already moved the army into place around them.

Also today Bush appointed a new ambassidor to Pakistan (the old one went to Iraq)

The new ambassador is a drug enforcement expert. Make of that what you will.
