From personal experience, I know that the overwhelming majority of highly religious people believe that arabs were behind 9/11. It’s irreligious lefties that tend to wear the conspiratorial tinfoil hats when it comes to 9/11.

As much as I hate the religion of Islam, my upstairs neighbor in my flat is a young Muslim dude, a researcher at the Medical College of Wisconsin. Whenever we cross paths he seems cool. We talk about video games – we both just got XBox 360s. I don’t think he’s any more likely to be a terrorist than I am. I think it’s easy to get caught up in the “most Muslims could be terrorists” thing, and I get caught up in it too sometimes, but really I think most Muslims in America just want to make a living and be cool.

I don’t think it needs any comment.

Is there any way we can maybe induce more illegal Muslim immigrants and then put them on a pathway to citizenship? They’re definitely willing to do the jobs Americans won’t do — like blowing up innocent civilians in the name……

The difference, though, is that Christianity is compatible with our Constitution and freedoms. Islam is not, which is why you never will find a true Muslim democracy.
