I doubt there’s been much change in people’s tendency to hold something sacred or their tendency to believe authoritative opinions.

Also, the newer generations are less religious (thus less conservative) due to the simple fact that religion is becoming increasingly useless to us. People go to religion for many reasons. One of these, poverty, has become more and more irrelevant in the past century in the US. If you have what you need, you’re less likely to pray to God to help you and your family get what you need.

Younger, less religious people are the ones flooding the internet these days, and thus liberals are pwning conservatives online.

That’s just an atheists take on it, anyways.

My collie says:

Only a complete nimnul would use a French word like “doyenne” in reference to Michelle Malkin.

That’s one of the reasons I respect Michelle Malkin so much, the fact that she treats social conservatism with respect.

Nor does she have a problem with God (unlike to most of the major right-leaning blogs), which is indeed a breath of fresh air.

Hate and rhetorical excess will almost always generate more blog participation than rational discussion of issues, no matter whether Dem or GOP.

Before blogs, I was active in forums. Comparing any two forums on the same side of an issue, the one that expressed more emotionalism almost always had more participation than the more civil, issue-oriented one. Forums allowed flamers because flamers generated big numbers of viewers and posters. Why would it be any different with blogs?

Numbers of sites or members is not the determining factor. We have a significant qualitative advantage and out of our undisciplined style will rise actual answers and actual solutions. Read all about it.

Those dimbulbs wont leave their moms basement to vote for fear that their pasty pale skin might get some color.

They will turn on each other, they do it now, it’ll be much worse, and yes they could self destruct.

This is a great description of DailyKos. I pop over every now and then to see what their subjects are, and I find the way their stuff is written and presented is quite boring and not very user friendly. Then I try to follow some of the comments and they’re shallow, very negative and remind me of when I was in high-school. And the sheer numbers! One of the reasons I like this site so much is that I can read all the comments and it doesn’t take me 2 days to do it. Good Lord, 2 days of silly, mean spirited one liners, I’d be brain dead after that!

So where is your perfect alternative……………That’s right you don’t have one all you have is your paranoid fears of Fred……..You keep attacking Fred while never ever offering a viable alternative. Show us a viable worthy alternative or shut up. Oh wait you cant because you dont have one……….

Your emotionalism is preventing you from understanding my position (which I have explained many times) on this.

For. The. Last. Time. My alternative is for ¿fred? to actually get involved. Announce that he will announce just as many other candidates have. It doesn’t affect his legal status with some TV show he supposedly appears on. Get interview by people other than the ones picked by his manager.

I question his record. You don’t defend his record. You attack me. I have enumerated many issues that I feel he will have to account for. WHY does that bother you so? Is it because his history is indefensible? If so, WHY are you a obsequious ¿fred? fan? Especially since he isn’t even a candidate. It’s hysterically comical to me.

I am looking for the conservative candidate that can win the white house in 08. I don’t care who it is because ANY conservative is better than ANY liberal ANY minute of ANY day.

As far as the groupie comments go, those are friendly jabs in the ribs of my likewise concerned conservative compadres. Don’t take them personally.

Poland, for instance: cheap housing, no immigration, a REAL Catholic Church ( with muscle & presence ) and the country is run by twin brothers who are President and Prime Minister —can’t make that one up

“Hungary” — Magyarsk– is more complicated and doesn’t have the twin brothers, but has all of the advantages of Poland without the ( insert Polish joke here )

I don’t think the jihadis will get very far in either country, as both spent centuries fighting them off, from the East and South, and Old Memories last a long time in this part of the world

It’s still hard to get a Coca-Cola out in the countryside, though……………

On a more serious note, after visiting MyDD for another reason, they are all ecstatic over the article, and mention fund raising. Well, there is a big difference. The Dems seem to almost exist to 1. seethe, and 2. raise money for dems.

Do you see much fund raising in the Right-O-Sphere? Me neither. It isn’t our thing.
