It would be a good thing if Allawi became the new head of the Iraqi government. With Petraeus and Allawi in their respective positions of responsibility, it is possible for us to have a meaningful “win.”

With each passing year I’m more convinced that the “fiasco” of the first year of Bill Clinton’s presidency was completely and purposefully engineered. The neo-corporatists understood that a vote for Clinton back then was a vote AGAINST a national health care program, AGAINST equal rights for people in the military or any other profession, AGAINST any progressive ideas and FOR corporate control of OUR government.
