Yes, just like abinitioadinfinitum said. Keep in mind, the Segway (I saw a guy ride one through the mall again today) was an intermediate step to that wheelchair. From what I remeber, his company started selling them so they would get more money to finish the project.

He also invented a portable stand-alone water filter. It’s about the size of a suitcase and can filter water for a whole village.

Access to clean water is a huge public health problem in many parts of the world. His filter allows a village in a remote area to have clean water even tho there is no civil infrastructure. It’s very cool.

Let’s pray for wide availability of bionic arms and legs to end the suffering for the many military/civilian amputees soon.

(I’m sure my sane and reasonable marriage of my faith in God and science has just caused much apoplexy among the lefty dillholes that read these comments)
