Busted

Remember Jessie/Jesse MacBeth, fake Army Ranger who claimed to have committed atrocities in Iraq?

Well, he’s been busted.

A man who tried to position himself as a leader of the anti-war movement by claiming to have participated in war crimes while serving in Iraq is facing federal charges of falsifying his record.

Jesse Adam Macbeth, formerly of Phoenix, garnered much attention on blogs and in some alternative media after he began claiming in 2005 to have been awarded a Purple Heart for his service, which he said included slaughtering innocents in a Fallujah mosque. His story was contradicted by his true discharge form, showing that he was kicked out of the Army after six weeks at Fort Benning, Ga., in 2003 because of his “entry level performance and conduct.”

A complaint unsealed Friday in U.S. District Court in Seattle charged him with one count of using or possessing a forged or altered military discharge certificate, and one count of making false statements in seeking benefits from the Veterans Administration…

Why did anyone ever believe that pencil-necked little rat was a Ranger?

He’s not even worthy to lick the boots of an Army Ranger.

Limerick on May 19, 2007 at 10:46 AM

Fake but accurate.

A sissy leftwinger who couldn’t hack it through boot camp. Little wonder he joined ranks with the Sheehan crowd and Code Pink.

His sentence should include one year of active duty in Fallujah, cleaning pots and pans on KP duty and spit-shining the boots of real Rangers.

fogw on May 19, 2007 at 10:47 AM

then give him the prison sentence for the crimes that he confessed of commiting

Seeing he likes to be associated with the Army, let him serve his time in the Brig.

Why other pencil-necked little rats of coarse!

Nice to see the Government learned they need to go after these liars given how much damage they did in spreading during Vietnam.

TheBigOldDog on May 19, 2007 at 11:21 AM

With the proximity to this stinker of an immigration bill, I’ll go ahead and say it. I question the timing.

I don’t question the action of his arrest, though. Throw him away and weld the lock shut. Gitmo, anyone?

Mojave Mark on May 19, 2007 at 10:37 AM

Oh, I think he is, too. I don’t feel like getting banned today, so I’ll just say that, before the boot-licking commences, the Ranger should be allowed to take a long hike at any location of his choosing first. I bet he’d choose a dairy farm.

flutejpl on May 19, 2007 at 11:42 AM

Excellent!

Aylios on May 19, 2007 at 11:56 AM

I am familiar with this separation action. The criteria for removing a solider like this is that they:

“Have demonstrated that they are not qualified for retention. The following conditions are illustrations of conduct and/or performance that disqualify soldiers for retention:
(a) Cannot or will not adapt socially or emotionally to military life.
(b) Cannot meet the minimum standards prescribed for successful completion of training because of lack of aptitude, ability, motivation, or self-discipline.
(c) Have demonstrated character and behavior characteristics not compatible with satisfactory continued service.
(4) Have failed to respond to counseling.”

Sounds just like the kind of “soldier” who would then turn around and claim he was among the elite Rangers and try to give the military and his country a black eye. The facts speak for themselves. If this guy still was in the military he’d likely be at Fort Leavenworth in prison by now.

Or maybe he could investigate possible roadside IED’s. Hey Jessie, we have a possible IED at 100 meters go check it out.

Just duct tape him to the end of a very long pole and then dangle him down.

Lehuster on May 19, 2007 at 10:30 AM

They didn’t, but the left’s dishonesty knows no bounds and they needed another fake military man on their side. They could have easily figured out he was a fraud. They either pretended they didn’t know, or did everything they could to keep from finding out what was obvious.

Heavens forbid Hillary Clinton became President, she probably give him a pardon and a medal.

StuLongIsland on May 19, 2007 at 12:42 PM

Please, we can’t let this distract us from the real issues.
- Dick Cheney eats small babies
- Karl Rove kicks puppies
- 9/11 was an inside job by Bush and the Mossad…

Come on… this guy was a “rovian” operative sent by the jews to distract us from impeaching the president, stifiling dissent and surrendering to the peaceful muslims, the EU and then the UN. Question the timing people… It’s now 12:11… 9/11 and 12:11 end in 11. 9/11 is three less than 12:11… and there were three points (facts, I mean) that I made above… see what I mean?

Who was that broad who claimed to have fought in Iraq, only to be revealed as a fraud… and the left stood behind her still because she was probably traumatized from the war… that she wasn’t in. Anyone remember that?

Lehuster on May 19, 2007 at 10:30 AM

I feel ashamed of my ignorance.
I guess that’s how the loony left works on unaware minds.
I remember reading or hearing bits and pieces of this story but what stuck in my memory was that he WAS a Ranger who was just a lost moonbat against the war. It’s scary, as informed as I think I am about current events, I missed the truth on this one by a long shot. My apologies to our troops for thinking this piece of chit could even make it as a Ranger.
As embarrassed as I am to post this, it needs to be said.
It is easy to see why so many are deluded by the left spin machine.

abinitioadinfinitum on May 19, 2007 at 1:24 PM

In the words of RATM, he should be hung and tried and shot, as any war criminal should be.

Jessy and Watada should be jail mates.

Worse yet, she was raped in Iraq, by fellow soldiers, despite the fact that she never went to Iraq.

Don’t recall the name, but I do remember the non-incident.

Pablo, I believe this is the case.

The MSM is all over this dude’s story, not…

Jessie MacBeth, the only kind of soldier liberals admire: the fraudulent soldier. His completely ate-up “DA photo” still cracks me up. And we get this news on Armed Forces Day too, which is just a bonus. They should hammer that sonovabitch with every applicable charge that they can scrounge up. Not only did that he tie up resources that should have gone to real veterans, and claim service and decorations that he didn’t earn, but his utter fabrications about committing “war crimes” are still circulating around the Internet, providing propaganda for the terrorists. They don’t care whether or not what he said is true, because–like “Loose Change” and the Lancet casualty figures–there’s always some dumb bastard that will believe it no matter how thoroughly it’s been debunked. If it was up to me, MacBeth would get an appointment with the hangman for giving aid and comfort to the enemy. Of course, that would require that our government actually treated treason like a crime.

ReubenJCogburn on May 19, 2007 at 3:15 PM

Today is Armed Forces Day. Fly your flags for those who have and still do really serve. We owe them everything.

All that’s left for him to accomplish is his jailhouse conversion to Islam.

Entelechy on May 19, 2007 at 2:44 PM

Thanks Entelechy, that was indeed the story I remember… and it proves my point about MacBeth too… The lefties (and in that woman’s case the NY Times [like there's a difference]) are either deliberately lying or deliberately avoiding any research because they know they won’t like what they find because it will undermine their agendas.

RightWinged on May 19, 2007 at 4:12 PM

Ah, Come on, Y’all give poor Jesse a break.

He is just a confused kid trying to get back to his roots.

/sarcasm

Jesse, (Born: Jesse al Zaid) is trying to follow in what he assumes to be the footsteps of his estranged father; hatred of America. Without the ‘courage’ to strap on an explosive vest, he makes up lies and steals from the VA…. His little way of fighting ‘the great Satan”.

Either that, or:

Unable to make it through Army Basic Training and have a chance at becoming a real hero, he joins up with the anti-America peacenick crowd and makes up lies so at least he gets accolades from someone.

Or maybe a little of both?

During WWII this would have been a one-way ticket to a court marshal and a firing squad!

This waste of human flesh is a disgrace to true American war heroes, he’s a dirty, disgusting, treasonous liar and is living proof of how morally bankrupt and desperate the lunatic-left are by the mere fact they used this scum-bag to further their warped agenda and actually consider him a hero…while it’s not surprising coming from the left it’s still SICKENING…ABSOLUTELY SICKENING!!

Send him on vacation to Gitmo…forever!!
