C. There was a huge traffic jam of anarchist dopes on bicycles or a gay pride parade or both.

right. to really drive home the seriousness and authenticity of their concerns, they should do away with those ostentacious “signs” too. and really, if their position has any merit, it should speak for itself. why have the protest at all?

Yes, because nothing says “we mean business” like a higher primate in a funny costume. I know the first thing I do when I see a chimp with a hat or a picture of George Bush with a Hitler ‘stache is say “wow, those people sure have their stuff together! I should learn more about where they stand, because they are obviously rational people.”

If the position has merit, and it does, then you seriously do not need a “surrender monkey”. This is the exact problem with “doing something” as opposed to “doing something properly” when faced with a challenge.

The best bit is that “the media loves monkeys”, as they say in the video. Yeah, and that ends up as the kicker at the end of the newscast in which the anchor chick goes “oh, he looks cute!” and the sports guy says “He should be batting clean-up for the Giants with that swing!” and it’s over.

The lack of media savvy evidenced by these folks boggles my mind.

the chron has stretched so far as to cite animal wellfare concerns as an objection to these proactive, pro-victory activists speaking out.

I laugh everytime I heard Cindy Sheehan speak. It’s just embarrassing. If you want to be effective, your speakers should sound less like Screech from Saved By The Bell, and a lot more like Fred! doing a cameo.

That first whiny sap wasn’t doing us any favors. We’re smarter than liberals. So be more effective.

In other words, it’s hard to take people seriously who figure that their message is so weak, they need some ‘zazz to get attention.

i swear, if it isn’t red, white and blue with an airbruush painting of a bald eagle on it, conservatives don’t get it. it’s sad. that’s what’s sad.

and, incidentally, that’s why hollywood is what it is.

i think they’re obtusely referencing the gay pride parade, the san fransisco organizers for which in years past have declined to disinvite nambla from participating.

you know how hard it is to get 70 conservatives out to a protest? yes they have jobs. they observe that there are a couple hundred thousand other americans doing a job in the middle-east and they’re on the verge of being sold out by pelosi and her ilk.

if a crowd of 70 victory-supporters looks anemic to you, it’s because you weren’t there. that’s the whole story. maf effectively expanded the impact of conservatives’ reliably poor showing in the streets with some humorous street theater, and you retards can’t even appreciate that much.
