We have to guard agianst the PC police here…some cultures’ practices or customs ARE wrong…my niece’s boyfriend is from England and he told me they aren’t allowed to fly the Union Jack in England because it might offend someone (i.e. muslims). It's happening here. The Yazidi friends and relatives of this girl killed her because they suspected she had converted to Islam. How many muslims would care that another society performed an honor killing? Yet this drove local Sunnis to kill a couple dozen Yazidis. They kill because they are taught to kill. They will create any reason they can, that purports to justify the killing. If the Yazidi culture is indeed an admixture of the various religions listed by the Britannica reference, they surely did not gain their taste for blood from the Jewish or Christian sources.

American feminist, according to an article I read in the latest Weekly Standard, don’t do anything about the plight of foreign women because foreign women don’t hate men and believe in family they just need to get rid of the mysogistic rules/mindset and BS like FGM among other really bad things. American feminist want to tell everyone how oppressed we women are in America but if you highlight the treatment foreign women receive their argument become absurd. They are self serving hypocrites and I am proud to have never labeled myself a feminist. I work full time and my husband and I work together to raise our kids and keep our Christian home. I will be honest and tell you that I wish I had stayed home with my kids until they were in school but the feminist of the 60s and 70 mostly ruined that chance for me. Does anyone here think our children are better off now that we removed mothers from the home and God from our schools?

I couldn’t bring myself to watch that clip…I will pray for her and for all similarly situated women…God help them.

After 7000 years can we really hope to change the Muslim mindset? I wonder if that is a lost cause… I know, I know we have to keep trying and according to Joel Rosenberg, who’s reserached this,many muslims are converting to Christianity at great peril but…

I have to believe that there is a special place in hell for these assholes. It’s the only way sometimes I can go on with my day. What sickos…I couldn’t watch it, I saw enough still photos of this before….those sickos even pulled her panties off.

GAHHHH…sometimes I think there needs to be a stronger word than hate…it doesn’t do it justice for what I feel for these horrible people who killed her.

The "honor" killings continue, no news there. Confederate Yankee was spot-on in noting the likely dearth of reporting on this story. In typical fashion, it caused some to blame the USA for this brutality. This entire war may be worth fighting just to liberate women. Now that would be some honorable killing.

Actually, the good folks at feministing actually have a post about it, but, of course, it has nothing to do with a brutal culture, just universal hatred of woman. Oh, and of course torture by Americans comes in too. Money quote:

I can't watch the video, just reading about it is enough to make me sick at heart. Now I don't know anything about the Yazidi religion, but in it's treatment of women it sounds close enough to the Islamic religion to say, it sucks, hate it, I don't want it in this country or any other. That poor girl. Say, where are those strong feminists in this country who're not afraid to get in any man's face in this country and tell them they're wrong? I can hear my ears ring in the silence that surrounds these incidences.
