It’s because they don’t agree with laws against sex with minors. They seem to really believe that 13 and 15-year-old girls are actually ready for sexual relationships with 22-year-old men.

Our culture is so over sexed that certain things just don’t phase us anymore, in fact, they’ve become mainstream.

I’ve heard adults say, “why should I be able to watch a rated R movie if I won’t let my kids watch it?” They just don’t get that childhood is something kids have a right to.

If this were any other industry, it would gain serious attention. Statutory rape is a big deal when a Republican is alleged as the perpetrator. Everyone wanted to know who knew and when they knew it. Protecting children should not be political.

The tiresome MSM has their own agendas to promote and promote they do. Brainwash is more like it. Television is the largest brainwashing system in the world. They manipulate and social engineer and then wonder why no one is watching the nightly news. I gave up on them years ago. I don’t need MSM to train me like some circus monkey. Wake up America!!!

UnEasyRider on May 17, 2007 at 10:17 AM

Well of course…this has been going on for years. Everyone knows it, even my students talk about it. If you’re pregnant, and want to go to PP for an abortion, do NOT tell them your boyfriend is over 18 or…One of my daugther’s friends got pregnant at 13 by a 22 year old guy. The family didn’t want to make a fuss, so they didn’t press charges against the guy…until he denied the kid was his and said he wouldn’t support it. THEN they threw his sorry @$$ into jail.

I have seen similar things happen over and over again in my years teaching teenagers.

Another symptom of the breakdown of law and order…

Illegal aliens?… check… sanctuary cities…
Secrets leaked to the NYT?… check… no one indicted….
90K bribery in cold hard cash?… no indictment…
Voter fraud?… lots…

People have no respect for law and order… this is just another case of it…

Sad…

Great Vent Michelle!

More proof that most MSM components are “reporting” that which fits their poltical agenda and minimizing that which does not. The MSM bias to the Liberal poltical agenda is so pronounced that much of what we are exposed to is not news but propaganda.

Thank you Michelle for keeping us updated on the latest examples of MSM bias that is exposed. I believe that it is important to recognize how the MSM, and the Left, is attempting to manipulate public opinion to their favor.

omegaram on May 17, 2007 at 10:59 AM

WoW! I wonder if the politicians are going to call up committees and start “investigating” at how to stop this….

/rolleyes

Tim Burton on May 17, 2007 at 11:32 AM

This kind of behavior by Planned Parenthood is nothing new. In fact, encouraging minors to lie about their age to avoid reporting requirments appears to be unofficial policy.

I recall some months ago listening to Jerry Doyle’s talk radio program, a segment of which was about this very problem. He played audio tapes of a telephone “sting” in which a woman claiming to be 15 and pregnant by her 22 or 23 year old boyfriend called eight different Planned Parenthood locations seeking an abortion.

Suffice it to say, Planned Parenthood went 8 for 8 in encouraging her to lie about her age.

It’s par with an observation I saw recently about liberal situational ethics: If you’re a 13, 14 or 15 year old girl and pregnant, you’re an “adult” who can make her own decisions without any governmental or parental interference. But if you’re a 22, 23 or 25 year old soldier in Iraq, you’re a “child” who needs to be brought home for your own protection.

Spurius Ligustinus on May 17, 2007 at 11:55 AM

Great Vent Michelle.

Keep hammering, persevere. The tide will change, it always does. The old MSM will have to act and pick up these stories or risk losing more and more market share to the “new” media. The only thing that matters to those heathens is money, and you’re doing a great job of drawing attention to their short comings.

Zorro on May 17, 2007 at 12:14 PM

Like the ACLU, founded by Communists to protect Communists, Planned Parenthood has benefited from your tax-dollars and a MainStreamMedia determined to mislead as to their actual agenda. In the interest of un-revising history consider founder
Margaret Sanger
, a visitor to, and supporter of, Adolph Hitler and Eugenics:

In 1916, Sanger founded the Birth Control League, the forerunner of Planned Parenthood. She appointed a man named Lothrop Stoddard, a Nazi sympathizer, fellow eugenicist and author of The Rising Tide of Color Against White World Supremacy to the Board of Directors. At some point, after Adolph Hitler’s atrocities against the Jews became known, Sanger changed the league’s name to Planned Parenthood, because “birth control” was too closely associated with eugenics.

“(It) makes possible the spread of scientific knowledge of the elements of sound breeding. It makes possible the creation of a new race; a new generation brought into this world consciously conceived. It makes possible the breeding out of human weeds-the defective and criminal classes-(and) the breeding in of the clean, strong and fit instruments to carry the torch of human destiny.” — Margaret Sanger on Birth control

“(They) are filling the insane asylums, (they) are filling the hospitals and filling our feeble-minded institutions, (they) are the ones the tax payers have to pay for the upkeep of, and they are increasing the budget of the State, the enormous expense of the State is increasing because of the multiplication of the unfit in this country and in the State.” — Margaret Sanger on Jews

Per Planned Parenthood’s founder… only you can prevent brown people.

No wonder they want to stay undercover.

DANEgerus on May 17, 2007 at 1:33 PM

Zorro, I don’t know if the tide will change. I remember watching O’Reilly sometime (I believe it may have been last year, perhaps summer?), where they were pleading this case of this 18 y/o boy who had had sex with a 15 y/o girl and now was in jail and would have to register as a sex offender upon his release.
Spurius, you’re absolutely correct about the Soldier in Iraq who is a chld (they must be they’re dumb enough to enlist in the libs minds).

Everytime I see these abortion stories this is what comes to mind:

(Threat one to America) Illegal Aliens that are flooding our country have a minimum of 3 kids per family.

(Threat Two) Followers of Islam belive in multiple wives and have multiple children with all of those wives.

Americans that do pro create, average 2 kids and the rest of Americans kill (abort) more babies a month then any war in the history of our country.

How can we logically think taht America is going to survive. Think again people.

americaslaststand on May 17, 2007 at 1:43 PM

The “gatekeepers” are protecting their agenda by suppressing information that would undermine it.

What is needed is for PROSECUTORS to convene GRAND JURIES and return INDICTMENTS against Planned Parenthood chapters for conspiracy to OBSTRUCT JUSTICE.

Start sending the staff of Planned Parenthood chapters to prison and I guarantee you that the MSM will cover the story.

But first you have to find a prosecutor with the guts to do the right thing even though they will face a firestorm of slanted criticism from the media at election time.

One of the best Vent episodes. Dugg it. Any chance this one will be uploaded to YouTube? I’d love to be able to post it in full.

Thanks Michelle (and Bryan behind the scenes).

Kind of an oxymoron calling abortion clinics planned parenthood isn’t it?

Kini on May 17, 2007 at 1:58 PM

When dealing with abortion and abortuaries, what would one expect?

They engage in medical rape of women and they engage in killing babies and making a lot of money from doing so.

Why would we be surprised when they lie, cheat, and deceive, and cover for statutory rape?

Kini on May 17, 2007 at 1:58 PM

Kini,

Well said!

Planned Parenthood deals with planning becoming a parent, not planning to prevent parenthood and planning the slaughter of one’s own offspring.

Another deceptive, dishonest title is “Reproductive Rights.”

A man and a woman already have an unbridled “right” and freedom to reproduce. No one prevents this or interferes with this.

Nevertheless, the abortion advocates and their claques, the mainstream news media, refer to abortion as a “Reproductive Right.”

How can abortion be a reproductive right when all abortion is is the slaughter of a living human being by dismemberment and other means, resulting in the execution and death of that innocent, new, tiny human being?

It has nothing to do with reproduction, but everything with preventing reproduction and killing another person.

Of course, we already hear so often about “Freedom of Choice” which is an incomplete sentence. It should be “Freedom of Choice to kill an innocent human baby.”

It also takes away any choice that baby has, and many of those babies whose choice is deleted, along with their lives, are girl babies, thus violating the girl’s freedom to live, and freedom from abuse and oppression.

The planned parenthood disdain for the law is nothing new at all.

I have an older friend (know her from Feminsts for Life meetings) that was quite liberal in the 70’s and believed the whole “baby is a parasite that you have a right to get rid of” liberal train of thought.

In the late 70’s, she went in for an abortion. At the time, it was still a legal requirement that a woman get her husband’s signature before she had an abortion. When she got to that line on the form, the PP worker said, “It’s o.k. Hon. I’m just going to leave the room now so you can get that signed however you need to.” My friend was offended because she wasn’t trying to break any laws, her husband was out in the waiting room & she was going to go have him sign it. The PP person just said, “Like I said, Hon. As long as it’s signed when I come back, everything’s in order.”

The situation MM reported is worse because it involves minor children that adults are supposed to look out for. The behavior of PP staff leaves them vulnerable to further exploitation (and, in some instances, incest) by adults.

However, the blatant disregard for the law is the same now as it was then.

It’s because they don’t agree with laws against sex with minors. They seem to really believe that 13 and 15-year-old girls are actually ready for sexual relationships with 22-year-old men.

Unless it’s a Catholic priest, and they can get lawyers to sue the living daylights out of someone. Suddenly “age of consent” is a really big deal.

I refer to PP as ‘Murder Inc.’

As far as Sanger et al is concerned:
I’m a Jewish born Christian Aspie(high-functional autistic).
According to those ‘enlightened’ individuals I shouldn’t be here…but I am here.

I won.
We won.
They lost.

That is a good one!

I occasionally refer to Planned Parenthood as “Planned Murderhood.” The term could be an umbrella term for the overall Abortion Industry and its offshoots.

Someone from Libertarians for Life used it, and I borrowed it from them about one year ago.

I think the name is appropriate.

Way to go, Michelle! This VENT is just the latest example of the OUTSTANDING work that everyone at Hot Air does so well! Between your expose and the “fauxtographic” skills endorsed by certain MSM bureaus via their “operatives” (whoops – “reporters”), I really have to laugh every time some whiny newspaper editor blames “free news on the Internet” for his rag’s continuously declining circulation. What a flimsy excuse – not even a “nice try!”

SpartRan on May 18, 2007 at 8:20 AM

Good story, and good comments. This needs to be more widely reported.

Planned Parenthood is a despicable organization, and always has been. My wife and I had an experience with them right after we were married (we were still in college and not yet really conservative). We went there to get birth control because we heard it was cheap or free. Turns out, that all their services are “free,” you just have to make a donation that , incidentally, costs the same as that service would at a regular doctor. Needless to say, we didn’t go there very long.

After that, we found out about what they really think, and who Sanger was. Now we’re supporters of the Central Indiana Crisis Pregnancy Center. Please, anyone, if you know a young couple or young lady “in trouble” as the saying used to be, refer them to a CPC. These folks care about the parents as well as the unborn child, and provide needed information, unlike PP.

Waiting for PP to get YouTube to ban this one for some made-up violation of their copyright…
