Video: Debate postmortem — MSNBC’s questions versus Fox’s

Excellent. I’m sorry I didn’t think of it myself. Click the image to watch.
Blowback

Watch the video. I created a montage of MSNBC questions first, followed by a montage of FOX questions. The increase in the seriousness and difficulty of the questions is comparable to that between high school and college:
I hope Chris Matthews gets to watch that film clip.
If he does he should never show his face on TV again.
What a jerk. If MSNBC wonders why nobody watches their station, the answer is here.
I didn’t get to watch the MSNBC “debate”, but after seeing the clip I noticed that Matthews laughs quite a bit, and the candidates laught too, although it seems more like nervous laughter. Matthews doesn’t seem to take his own questions seriously. Sounds more like comedy hour. If Chris was trying to make the candidates look stupid, he was only successful at making MSNBC look that way. High school debates are more serious and well thought out than the garbage Chris and co. were putting out. “What do you hate the most about America?” ???? That’s a telling question though, that’s what the liberals are all about. Hate.
Hold their feet to the fire, make them answer for what they’ve done, and justify what they propose.

Exactly. Compare Wallace and the other correspondent calling out Guiliani and Thompson for not answering their questions with Chris ‘you can answer just about any question at this point’ Matthews.
FOX did the same thing they do every day: made PMSNBC look like amateurs. Comparing serious, credible journalists to a blabbering alcoholic and a douche that’s only qualified to talk about sports just isn’t going to be flattering.
Did anyone really need to examine this?
I mean really, Chris Matthews for gods sake is not creditable at all.
I didn’t need to watch or listen to realize that.
One question that Matthews asked should have nailed it:
“Clinton back in office” and he’s serious.
Come on folks…. PMSNBC is a joke. It not real news.
Once again, Matthews proves that he is a fecal-matter-for-brained, bloviating, assclown. Maybe if someone smacked him upside the head with a 2×4 he’d get a clue.

Yep. BIGTIME!
Frum’s comments about Fox vs MSNBC are correct, of course. However, the MSM and Democrats will never admit it. They (both of them) want a friendly and partisan Democratic moderator at their debates, not one that asks competent or important questions.
Being a Democrat is all about fluff (and Matthews is America’s premier fluffer).

I wonder, seriously, if the Democrats are going to allow themselves to be subjected to hard questions during their debates.

Um, more like kindergarten and college…

Chris……but my questions were designed for my typical audience.

To put it bluntly: Wallace makes Matthews look like a massive tool.

Wow. Just wow.
Stark difference. Matthews, MSNBC, and Politico.com should be so embarrassed!
Kudos to the FNC team for a professional and serious debate.

Thanks for that AP. We all knew that MSNBC’s questions were silly, but that video exposed them for the worthless hacks that they are.
csdeven on May 16, 2007 at 9:33 AM
No wonder the democrats won’t appear in a Fox debate. They would have their lunch fed to them!
trader67 on May 16, 2007 at 9:38 AM
I can certainly see why the Democrats would not want FNC to moderate their debates.
aunursa on May 16, 2007 at 9:45 AM
Democrats are afraid of their shadows, they’re also afraid of any hard questions.
Matthews is a boob.

Where’s the video?
Connie on May 16, 2007 at 12:04 PM
I’m not getting a video with firefox OR IE. It’s just taking me to the NRO site with the article and no video.
Connie on May 16, 2007 at 12:09 PM
The video is there, it just takes a while to paint.
The Dem candidates will NEVER subject themselves to the tough, direct questions Fox has in store for them.

Weird. I still saw nothing. I went to view source and grabbed the actual url, threw it in the address bar and got it to come up that way.
