With respect to the thread topic, my only comment is: ♥-ache :P

I don’t know what kind of portable you have, but it should have an Fn key (my Toshiba’s is blue and in the lower left corner of the keyboard between Ctrl and Alt). On my regular letter keys, there are blue numbers, so if I hold down Fn and J, I get a 1 from the numberic keypad.

So to get the character, hold down Fn (to access the number pad numbers that are on the letter keys), Ctrl (because that’s what gets you the funny characters), and type the number(s) on the keypad.

Hope that makes sense.

I ♥ the codes, but I will be ☻ if there is a flood of ☺ people using them. But will ♂ use them more than ♀? Will → wingers use them more or ← wingers? If we move ► maybe it won’t happen. I think it’s time for me to ■ before I get thrown off the discussion board.

Spot On my friend! Too often it’s all about playing up for the camera and stroking ones ego. For that matter, having a conversation seems to of more substance than actual accomplishments.

It’s like the character Everett in the movie O Brother, Where Art Thou. Leaving all those cans of Dapper Dan around leaves a trail to where the sheriff can find you whilst caring only about how slick back your hair is.

Even when I was liberal I liked the Republican boys: they open doors, they rarely ever forget birthdays or anniversaries and they take you to nice restaurants for occasions, they’re better looking, more manly – hell – my husband was a Republican and I a Democrat, (who mostly voted Green Party!) when we married! They’re also better at u-know-what in my experience.
