If he can draw media attention without spending campaign donations, AND HE HAS, why shouldn’t he?

If he can do the right thing by his NBC contract without endangering his chances of gaining a nomination that is still a LONG way away, why shouldn’t he?

If he won the Senate seat that had been held by a Democrat for decades using a non-traditional campaign, and believes he can pull off the same trick at a national level using free/cheap new media methods, why shouldn’t he?

The debates, the standard campaign whirlwind, and the behaviors called for by conventional wisdom are for the birds. For those claiming he’s “ducking”, that analogy won’t apply until the main event, the nominating convention. Your criticism will be proven right or wrong then. Until then, the man has a plan, he’s sticking to it, and he’s not asking your advice.

He is doing everything right, right now. Look at the media attention he is getting. How much would that cost? He is running without having to raise money. If you want to see him run, don’t pressure him to get in the race while he can give weekly radio address’ for FREE! Genius.

On a serious note, see-dubya, thanks for providing a pivoting thought against csdeven’s obnoxious ranting (just on this topic).

Pablo is right, as he so often is – June of ‘07 will change much, not only from/for Fred, but for all the candidates, from both sides.

Many of the so-called top-tier will gladly line up for VP, in either combination with Fred. He knows them well and might even have an arrangement worked out already. I like Rudy/Fred or Fred/Rudy best, but can live with other combinations. csdeven, you will too. I can’t wait for your takes in 6 months. No need to send me a dissertation against Fred, as you’ve already sent us myriads. I still like you and you have all the rights to do/say whatever, obviously.

Since we’re all talking about Fred!, it might behoove you to just weigh the facts before the blather begins. As it’s been pointed out time and again, this man has garnered media attention for free — far more than any candidate who is blasting through their contributions so far. Fred! is in, he’s just playing the game his way. And I, for one, like his way better than anything I’ve seen from the official candidates.

Jeeze! As it stands, ¿fred?, Reagan, and Lincoln all have equal chances at getting the republican nomination.

To be as reasoned as you usually are…when Fred comes up you turn all emotionally bitter, snarky and unthinking.

IF you think that Mitt or McCain are in for the long haul, you’re the one who’s lost it. As stated above, once Newt and Fred enter, it’s over for Mitt…and soon over for McCain. I believe that the nom will either be Fred or Rudy. Simple as that. And I’m okay with either, but prefer Fred.

Oh, and the comparison to the dead Lincoln or Reagan…That is totally idiotic even from you.
