It wasn’t the reason why we did it, but it was the effect. By taking those troops out of KSA, we actually took a propaganda tool out of the jihadists’ hands.

I don’t believe we have anybody in KSA any more. Kuwait, Qatar, and various other Gulf states, but not KSA.

It doesn’t matter. The day the likes of bin Laden can decide where Americans can and can’t go, and American politicians like Ron Paul accept it, is the day this country begins to fall.

There wasn’t one American solider in SA that wasn’t invited by the lawful government.

Even if they were an invading force, it does not justify flying planes into skyscrapers filled with innocent civilians.

We actually gave in to one of Osama’s demands. He was hellapissed that filthy Crusader troops were in Saudi Arabia to defend the Kingdom against Iraq. Having them in the country that houses the two holiest of the host of holy cities of Islam was intolerable.

We sent those troops over the border to Iraq, and I don’t believe we have anybody in KSA any more. Kuwait, Qatar, and various other Gulf states, but not KSA.

The troops were in Saudi to protect the kingdom from Saddam; once we invaded Iraq, there was no need for troops in Saudi- it had nothing to do with caving in to OBL’s demands.

I declare Ron Paul the RWP (Republican Whipping Boy) for the rest of the primaries. I believe every debate should now begin with a two minute statement from Dr. Paul, followed by equal time for every other canidate in order to systematically tear him to shreds. I would say he is a straw man, but he actually exists. Paul may be just too good to be true.

Good for Eric Dondero. He seems like a guy closer to my views.

Ron Paul’s foreign policy is just unrealistic in this day and age, and he doesn’t seem like a man who should be in power at such a crucial time.

I hope Dondero unseats him.

Even the most ardent RP supporters in some forums I visit barely supported this comment. And their defense was pretty lame.

RP supporters are all linked by trutherism anyways. The Republican Party needs to get this fool off the stage.

The Democrats love him on the stage because it makes everyone else on stage a little more kooky as well, guilt by association and all that.

the problem with Islam is that we think of religeon and politics being seperate. Bush isnt the head of the Protestant church.

Many other Muslims feel that they shouldnt be seperate. They want a fusion of the two and vote for Islamic candidates.

Hence our delemma. We cant support Democracy because Muslims havent figured out how to seperate religeon from politcs yet. We either get secular dictators or Islamic totalitarians.

Truth is until Islam can divorce religeon from politics there is no other choice for us to support other then Secular tyrants who arent like by the populace but also arent ready to sign onto global jihad.
