There are a gazillion people posting there who sound like they have been on an acid trip, as in LSD.

Is the world now insane?

They don’t even understand the concept of force, vibration, heat, flying and falling debris, etc., and how they contribute to damaging the ground, foundations, surrounding buildings, etc.

It was Mossad, Israel, the Zionists, the Jews, Bush, Cheney, and so on, who did it. Osama never did it, never claimed responsibility, that is all just a lie perpetrated by the Zionists and the US Government, Bush, Cheney, etc.

At the risk of sounding condescending, are there that many stupid people alive on planet earth at this time, or are only third graders and below posting on the Internet?

I don’t know whether to celebrate that I am not the dumbest person on planet earth, or to be afraid that so many idiots-conspiracy theorists are walking around spewing their pabulum, and putting us all at risk.

Notice how Rosie backed off having experts when Popular Mechanics was mentioned? BTW Rosie, it is not just Popular Mechanics, it was their team of experts across the country that bared witness.

I noticed it too, she actually looked scared of the thought of having real experts in physics, metallurgy, and fire sciences coming on the show to debate her on the 9-11 conspiracy BS she holds so dear …could it be she knows she would be made a laughing stock and exposed for the moron she is…me thinks so, and I’d PAY to see that show!!

I have an idea, I think they should have a benefit debate in a large venue instead of doing it on the View. Each side would assemble their respective panel and it would be moderated by an independant body (like a clearinghouse). After the debate the independant body would be given one month to research the information brought up by each panel to verify their facts and decide which panel did the best job proving their case based upon verifiable facts, then whichever panel wins the debate they get the proceeds from the ticket sales to donate to their designated charity…I think it would be a win-win, first it will put this whole 9-11 conspiracy lunacy to rest for most people with at least one functioning synapse, and a deserving charity will get some funds!

What do you say Hotair, how about it, get the word out and see if Rosie and the 9-11 “truthers” will put up or shut up!

Funny, because that book is written by a fellow by the name of David Ray Griffin, who touts the same myths about 9/11 such as hijackers being alive. He even stated a while ago that there was no airfones on Flight 77, but retracted the statement after being pointed out by the Screw Loose Change blog. Apparently he is the “fact checker” for the upcoming Loose Change.

In the book “Debunking the Debunkers”, DRG does ad-hom arguments against the PM suggesting that the editor and director of Homeland security are blood related cousins. The source? Anti-semite, David Duke’s buddy, and holocaust denier Chris Bollyn.

So it’s interesting to note that Rosie is endorsing a book by a man who made numerous errors who cites holocaust deniers to create ad-hom arguments against a respectable magazine that has the research of hundreds of experts such as firefighters and demolition firms.

I think the bullseye target for Rosie is bigger then her belt size.

Sorry, Elisabeth, but you should stick to asking Rosie questions about her beliefs unless you want to spend a couple months boning up on this craziness.

Good point, but you shouldn’t expect Rosie to know about Galileo and the Leaning Tower of Pisa. She is having enough trouble with the concept of softened/weakened structural steel. If you dropped Rosie and a baseball from the top of the tower at the same time, they would hit at the same time.

I can also tell you from direct observation that an ordinary fire will melt metal. When my family’s house burned down years ago, I was surprised to find that the metal skillets in the kitchen had melted into a hard puddle of metal.

And really, you don’t even need experts to debunk the lie that the towers freefell to the Earth. Take another look at the video and you can see chunks of debris falling faster than the collapse as the towers came down. The debris thrown out by the collapse is freefalling while the successive collapse of the towers lags above it. The debris thrown clear of the towers hit the ground before the towers did.

If Rosie was right, all that debris would have hit the ground at the same time as the towers hit. It did not. Case closed.

The sheer mass of the top of the buildings falling made the resistance of anything below it negligible.

The fact that this woman believes explosives would make a building fall “quicker” is a testament to her stupidity?

Explosives don’t push the building down they only remove key elements which allow gravity to take over, kind of like if you flew a jet plane into the top third of a skyscraper removing any structural elements.

You don’t understand. The twin towers fell because of the phantom melted steel. They were hit by planes, too, but that was just a coincidence. As for them falling too fast, perhaps Rudy was pulling on them with the power of his mind (after all, haven’t you ever wondered what happened to the man’s hair? Two words: telekinetic radiation. Google it).

It all makes perfect sense if you just slow down and stop being so damned critical about everything. Why do people insist on taking mass murders so seriously, anyway?

Good for Hasselbeck arming herself with facts figuring these idiocy would come up again (though she, probably like the rest of us, had no idea specifically about the new Guiliani/China conspiracy). She never signed on to argue craziness with someone so hostile, so again kudos for Hasselbeck rising to the occasion.

I agree with that. I think comments here are often far too critical on Hasselbeck generally. (For example contrast to the generosity give to Samantha Judge? in the Red-Eye thread the other day).

I rarely watch The View clips, but I did laugh out loud at the end when Rosie said that people don’t want to talk about this. Uh, she brings it up all the time; she means she doesn’t want people to talk about facts. They are scary.

And Rosie says it takes 9 seconds if free fall, and less if exploded? Gravity is gravity, whether exploded or not, it would take the same time to come down.

I do agree, we should answer her with a laugh…

Shipped all of the steel over to China before it could be tested. Tens of thousands of tons shipped to China before it could be tested. How fast could you load a couple of thousand tons of steel, half buried beneath ruble, before someone would find a piece to test.
