You mean the same Wal-Mart that Shrillary used to sit on the board of? That Wal-Mart? So if it’s evil to do business with them (according to the nutroots), how much worse would actually helping to run the company be? I’d think the Clinton War Room would be the last ones to want to bring up the subject of Wally World.

She is taking a break from her main job, as a well-remunerated Chicago hospital executive, to campaign for her husband. But she has just been re-elected to the board of an Illinois food-processing company, a position she took up two years ago to gain experience of the private sector.

And the biggest customer for the pickles and peppers produced by Treehouse Foods is the retail giant Wal-Mart, the world’s largest corporation and the bête noire of American liberals, including Sen Obama, for its employment practices, most notably its refusal to recognise trade unions.

I really don’t think there is any danger of that.

My belief is a Clinton/Richardson will emerge as the 2 offer different ideas propaganda to their supporters and Richardson knows to toe the Clinton line.

We’ll see during this campaign, that Obama is going to be a little bit everything. He’s really not running for 2008 but rather 2012 or ’16. This is just the first pass.

The drive-by media could take a nit-wit like Kerry and get 40whatever percent to vote for him. The Dhems are living in a fantasy world if they think that he has a snowball’s chance in hell of ever winning the white house. He plays fine at Starbucks but he’ll never ever appeal to middle America. Those people have spines and they resent jellyfish politicos like B Hussein O.

Are we supposed to take from this that refusing to listen to people, recognize everybody’s concerns, and see other peoples’ points of view is naturally the liberal way of doing things? Why, what do you know, he told the truth! The soc*alists do that now and then when they aren’t being careful, or when they think the audience will hear what they INTEND, rather than what they SAID.

This whole statement is just a gaffe. Political compromise and communication isn’t a standard of either side (or at least shouldn’t be), so it doesn’t represent an example of being “a little bit conservative”. Therefore, by this useless statement, he has no idea what being “a little bit conservative” could possibly mean. And well, his voting record proves that anyway.

It does not matter who is more liberal — Hillary Clinton, Barack Obama or John Edwards. They are all plenty liberal in ways that no moderate or conservative should even think about voting for any of them.

Conservative version:

The grasshopper has no food or shelter, so he dies out in the cold.

MORAL OF THE STORY: Be responsible for yourself!

CBS, NBC, PBS, CNN, and ABC show up to provide pictures of the shivering grasshopper next to a video of the ant in his comfortable home with a table filled with food. America is stunned by the sharp contrast.

How can this be, that in a country of such wealth, this poor grasshopper is allowed to suffer so?

Kermit the Frog appears on Oprah with the grasshopper, and everybody cries when they sing, “It’s Not Easy Being Green.”

Jesse Jackson stages a demonstration in front of the ant’s house where the news stations film the group singing, “We shall overcome.”

Jesse then has the group kneel down to pray to God for the grasshopper’s sake.

Nancy Pelosi & John Kerry exclaim in an interview with Larry King that the ant has gotten rich off the back of the grasshopper, and both call for an immediate tax hike on the ant to make him pay his fair share.

Finally, the EEOC drafts the Economic Equity & Anti-Grasshopper Act, retroactive to the beginning of the summer.

The ant is fined for failing to hire a proportionate number of green bugs and, having nothing left to pay his retroactive taxes, his home is confiscated by the government.

Hillary gets her former employer, the Rose Law Firm, to represent the grasshopper in a defamation suit against the ant, and the case is tried before a jury comprised of single-parent welfare recipients.

The ant loses the case.

The story ends as we see the grasshopper finishing up the last bits of the ant’s food while the government house he is in, which just happens to be the ant’s old house, crumbles around him because he doesn’t maintain it.

The ant has disappeared in the snow. The grasshopper is found dead in a drug-related incident and the house, now abandoned, is taken over by a gang of spiders who terrorize the once peaceful neighborhood.

MORAL OF THE STORY: Be careful how you vote.
