Quotes of the day

“This is your line in football. If you don’t have a line, how many passes can Peyton Manning complete? Greatest quarterback, maybe, in NFL history.

“I was just hanging on. I could not wait until the debate got off so I could go to the bathroom.”

I thought the greatest qb of all-time was Wayne Gretzky. I’m sooo out of the loop.

“Let’s take Favre then,” Brownback said. “The Packers are great. I’m sorry. How many passes does he complete without a line?”

“All of them!” more than one person yelled from the back.

Too bad they’d all be to the other team.

Rehab for Brownback and Thompson?

CyberCipher on May 12, 2007 at 10:47 PM

I understand Thompson’s plight perfectly. Why, just the other day, I was in line at the bank, fighting the prairie dog, when I let loose a stream of N-bombs that would’ve made Chappelle blush. Racial harmony was restored once I grew that tail.

Memo to Brokeback: If the Cheeseheads spared your life, make the most of it. Quit now, and forget a VP nod.

re: Tommy Thompson: Yeah, right…a cold, brochitis…? His answer speaks for itself. He most certainly knew what he was replying to…

“How many times is he going to say something that’s completely offensive to the majority of Americans before people start to say, ‘What’s going on here?’” said Jason Stephany, political director for the Wisconsin Democratic Party.

Really Jason, this is your issue? Are you that concerned about a Tommy Thompson presidency? If we could only list the things we’d like to say “how many times is he/she going to say something” about the LEADERSHIP and actual leading candidates in the Democratic Party. Give it a rest guy.

Hey, at least he didn’t say he loved “Manny Ortiz” or “Lambert Field” like Kerry did.

TheBigOldDog on May 13, 2007 at 12:07 AM

Yeah! That was seriously obnoxious. Kerry was trying to court Red Sox Nation that one week during the campaign showing up in all the wire photos in a Red Sox hat (went to one game, and I think I recall photos of him backstage at campaign events “watching the game” in his cap). That clown was so pathetic that his pandering extended that far, but revealed him to be the elitist non-Sox fan ass that he is. Who’s your favorite Red Sox Senator? “I like Manny Ortiz”… That should have been the end of the campaign right there… and when it wasn’t, the campaign should have ended after his hunting incident.
