LOL! Dude! You are vastly oversimplify the diverse make-up of the participants here at HotAir. Furthermore, the LAST thing that I would try to do is to attempt to secure your “regard for my opinions.” Check out my confession in that same Rosie thread that you lifted from, viz.

But what do I know? As clearly evident from my many posts, I know NOTHING about blogging, journalism, or politics (thank God). And yes AllahPundit, you can quote me on that.

I, for one, don’t spend ANY of my time at DU or KOS. The only reason that I know that they exist AT ALL, is because they are frequently quoted and linked to here at HotAir. Furthermore, I have very little time to read source articles. I depend on Michelle, Bryan, AllahPundit, Ian, see-dubya et. al. to do that FOR me. Blogging, journalism, and politics are NOT my forte. I just hang-out here on occassion because I am trying to learn something about the mystifying world of politics. You won’t find me at DU or KOS because I KNOW what kind of people hang-out there. You see, I’d BE a Democrat, if it weren’t for the Democrats that I know. Yes, that’s right, I have a sense of humor. So sue me.

You just cited MORE EVIDENCE that proves my point. How do you know that my snarky comment of “let the group hate begin” isn’t just one of my sarcastic ways of serving as a sentinel or watchdog for decency? Just like all the other liberals that routinely take other peoples words out of context, you misrepresented my initial comment in that thread by craftily OMITTING my follow-on comment, viz.

As I already posted in an adjacent thread, the Rosie posts remind of the “group hate” sessions described in George Orwell’s book 1984. It’s sorta’ like everyone needs a “team practice session” to keep our essential skills honed. The most essential team skill of all seems to be hating Rosie.

I’ll let you decide for yourself whether that’s a good thing or a bad thing.

My follow-on comment CLEARLY shows that I was trying to get people to think about the moral implications of HotAir’s Rosie obsessions. It’s just that I tried to do it in a humorous way that wasn’t too overbearing or too offensive. I didn’t want to “come across” like the typical liberal who thinks that he has “absolute moral authority.” But, of course, like most liberals (who wouldn’t recognize the truth if it ran over them like an 18-wheel truck) you will no doubt try to twist or miscontrue THAT comment of mine as well. Good luck trying to convince everyone at HotAir that CyberCipher is an Orwellian communist propagandist that openly advocates the use of the “two-minute hate.” That’s gonna’ be a pretty tough sell, since most of the participants here know the history of my posts, and they are aware that I am advocate of both conservative ideals and of common decency.

BTW, I apologize to my fellow conservatives since all that I’ve managed to prove here is that liberals routinely use unethical tactics to formulate their arguments. It’s dreadfully boring, since nearly everyone that participates here already knows that.

I think you nailed the point precisely. It’s not that there’s no such thing as a verbal loose cannon on the conservative side of the net. It’s that, on the left, such talk from the loose cannons seems to be viewed as far more tolerable than it is on the right. This fact, couple with the sense of overwhelming anger and frustration that’s increasingly being evidenced by the far left–and which is almost entirely absent on the conservative side–is what speaks of the potential that the line between verbiage and violence is liable to be crossed.

I posted a link to a story about someone who planned to try to take out Hillary.

Nothing in that story suggests the person in question was a conservative, only that he was apparently a drug user. It could have been someone to the left of Hillary who views her candidacy as a threat to “legitimate” Democrats, or, more likely, simply somebody deranged in a purely non-partisan fashion (Hinckley, after all, didn’t shoot Reagan over policy differences).

Someone there at digg has noticed that some of us here think they are a pathetic bunch.

But I was right about Janos misrepresenting the oh so sanctimonious hotair posters like you. “no one here says that” “wait they do but we know that” “i’m so confused – what’s a narrowminded conservative to do”.

Sometimes this is like watching the comedy hour in seeing some of you dance around your hypocrisy. If you spent more time actually reading relevant source articles instead of “seeing what the DU or KOS people are saying” I’d have much more regard for your opinions. But alas, the game here for many is to show how much better we are than those other guys.

Cheney is all over MO like white on rice. I think his speech may in part be a response to the Sarkozy acceptence speech. The guys posting on digg could be guilty of numerous breaking numerous laws. As usual, Bradkey, you state the obvious, and then you COMPLETELY MISS that which most everyone else already knows. Then you act as though you have imparted some great gem of wisdom upon us all.

But here’s the difference — we conservatives POLICE our wack jobs. Case in point: ACS took a beating on this site after Annie’s “f@gg*t” remark at CPAC. The debate was INTENSE.

Meanwhile, the liberals not only permit their wack jobs to “run amok,” they try to get them signed-on to presidential campaign staffs. All the while, encouraging, promoting, and agitating them into EVEN MORE EXTREME behaviour. (Yeah. That’s right. A-G-I-T-A-T-I-N-G. Just like Howard Cosell was SO fond of saying.)

But it doesn’t surprise me that you can’t see the difference. As the other HotAir participants have already pointed out, you are simply a tool that most of us have already learned to ignore.

The examples showed his statement to be inaccurate. I posted a link to a story about someone who planned to try to take out Hillary. Just because you don’t like Democrats doesn’t make the examples not true. “Not fitting the bill?” Come on, that starts to sound like the dreaded truther logic. There are whack jobs on both sides and all should be condemned as such.

With the unhingitty of the left growing with each day, I’m actually surprised we haven’t seen anyone make an attempt on either W or Cheney yet.

Actually I make $6.80 an hour working as a grocery bagger… and I’ve never voted for a democrat that was running for higher than county-wide office. Please accept my mea culpa for that Perot vote however. There are many proud anti-idiotarians like me.

i remember a couple years ago rolling up on my bike to an anemic protest of dick cheney. i was going to avoid it, but the douche on the bullhorn was shouting something about taxcuts “for the rich”. so i went over and explained that i made $8/hr and the dollar figure of my refund. the “two americas” progressive in the itallian sneakers was incredulous; he asked me, “oh, yea? what did you write off?”
