Video: Spinal Tap reunites for Live Earth

posted at 7:10 pm on May 10, 2007 by Allahpundit

A few funny moments, emphasis on “few.” Guest, as usual, has the best lines, and Shearer does okay with his webcam bit, but the rest of it is arid. If you don’t have 15 minutes to waste, watch the part at the beginning with Nigel on the farm and then skip ahead to 11:00 and take it from there. The ferret bit will make it worth your while.

They looked bad. Only a couple of funny lines. Extremely forced… What a waste.

That was funny! I’ll never get tired of Spinal Tap.

The ferret bit was good, but I equally liked the question:
Do you think that’s torcher?
No, I think that’s… residuals.

It proves to me the whole Global Warming, no, Climate Changes are nothing but a hoax. And a hilarious one at that.

Unless of course, you’re Larry David’s wife.

Lame, and I say that as a huge fan.

Compare and contrast to the genius that is Ricky Gervais’ contribution to Live Aid.

Is it me, or is Rob Reiner starting to look, and sound, a lot like Rush Limbaugh? Whoah!

Is it just me or is a bunch of musicians wasting electricity and releasing tons of CO2 into the enviroment a huge joke? It is no different than electric cars, they don’t produce emmisions at the tailpipe, but what about that coal fired power plant running 24/7?

I’m sure I’d be excited if I weren’t under such heavy sedation.

Where is Archie Bunker to smack the Meathead upside the head about all this global warming crap?

I missed “Derek” smoking his pipe. ;-)

He kicked that habit and went on to the Internet.

I loved the movie and quote from it on occasion. I did not recognize Rob Reiner.

This clip was eh. Not as funny as the original….where was Ed Begley Jr? I missed the dead drummers :)

It’s like the slow parts of Spinal Tap, but funny in it’s own quiet way.

On a site called Hot Air! Oh the humanity!

Buck Turgidson on May 11, 2007 at 11:36 AM

Good Lord, what’s with Rob Reiner? In his quest to save the planet, it appears he’s become one.

Buck Turgidson:

One wonders how many visitors come here each day from search engines looking for AGW hype, and go away disappointed…

Here’s what I have to say about Global Warming Climate Change
