Sorry…I didn’t care for the ad. Reminded me of just another “I’ll cut spending in Washington” ad. Call me cynical, but it just never happens.

If Romney had no history backing up his claims then you might be correct. However, you have to look at his record. He saved the 2000 Olympics and he saved Massachusetts from pending bankruptcy. I think Romney’s only obstacle is the fact that as Governor he had a line item veto at his disposal which he would not have as president.

Agree. I’ve heard the ad a few times and it left me with a bad taste in my mouth. The “I like vetoes” bit was cute in a childish way.

But the kicker is the war. Mitt has to prove that he’d be a more ruthless SOB than Rudy. Can he do it?

Until that point, I love the clip, especially an annual 1% cut in spending. Heard that kind of thing way too many times too trust it, especially from a Northeasterner connected to the corporate elite. I mean I love the corporate elite and am working my way up that milieu, but very few solids ideologically there. Idiot hedge fund managers and VCs will hire Leftist Dems like the Shrillspawn and Pretty Pony, not to mention the millions upon millions given in hopes of being the last one eaten by the Red Guard of Maxine Watters.

I’d trust Romney more if the right people hated him. The right people HATE Rudy beyond all possible belief. Osama is his 2nd worst enemy, with the Mafia #3 after the NYT crowd. That tells you something important, while too many people like Romney. Obviously Romney hasn’t done the necessary work to reduce government spending or the extent of government in Mass, nor done anything to prosecute the murderous Mass Senator.

Street Sense didn’t have a prayer coming out of the first turn….yeah….that’s what I thought.

Great ad, except for the red hat he wore in parts of the spot.

You can’t count Romney out because he’s a handsome, well-spoken man. Those two things alone get people’s attention, and that’s half the battle.

Yeah, that seems wierd to me too. All of us try to put our best foot forward and to be as competent as possible, but we mistrust those that achieve that? I know Mitt! has some flaws, but I don’t think they are dangerous just because they aren’t evident.
