Video: Liberal Stahl appalled that opinionated people can host news programs

Lesley Stahl profiled CNN’s Lou Dobbs on 60 Minutes Sunday night. Stahl gave a shocked, deer-in-the-headlights look when Dobbs said that he was not a fan of the President. She wondered, how can someone who doesn’t like the President host a news program? That nearly made me spew my beverage all over the screen. A CBS journalist, working for the same network that employed Dan Rather and aired those fake National Guard memos, finds it stunning that someone with an opinion is allowed to have their own news show. Snort.
Laura Ingraham commented on Stahl’s laughable hypocrisy on her radio show Monday morning. Laura is right on when she notes how anyone who has a conservative opinion is portrayed as “mad as hell” when liberals, especially anti-war activists, are portrayed as just “passionate.” Listen to her comment here.

THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!!!
I almost threw a rock at my TV when she gave that ‘look’.
How blind have the monologue-ists (lefties) become? They really and truly can not see what they have become.

A year and a half before RatherGate broke, Stahl’s hard-hitting reportorial skills were hard at work cataloging her fellow CBS employees’ biases in an amusing interview with Cal Thomas.
Ed Driscoll on May 8, 2007 at 2:13 PM
She knew EXACTLY what she was doing. They are still trying to convince people that they are NOT biased a$$holes.
Guess what, Lesley? We’ve been onto you for YEARS. Get over yourself you obsolete HACK. And you too, Dobbsy Boy.
TV “Journalists” are figuring out just how irrelevent they are, and it’s making them CRAZY.

Nice screencap, by the way… She looks like a carp.

Stahl sucks. CBS sucks. The MSM sucks.
Liars and hypocrites, every one of them.

In Bernie Goldberg’s books he repeatedly makes the point that the liberals in the media don’t perceive their bias; they think they are mainstream and reasonable. Therefore, they report two views, the “normal” view and the conservative view. That is why they always label conservative views as such, but liberal views are taken at face value as being “normal.” That is also why they get defensive if their bias is pointed out to them. They have no self-awareness. They think they are mainstream center.

Speaking of Goldberg, did he just write a new book?

Liberal hypocrisy at its finest. Our lies and distortions are perfectly acceptable don’t bother trying to think for yourself we will tell you what is acceptable to think and what is not.
Rock on……………..

Reports of a shooting a fresno state
Authorities in Fresno, California, are searching for a college student they say shot and killed one man and wounded two others at an apartment complex near Fresno State.
Police originally believed the suspected gunman was still inside the complex, but expanded the search to surrounding areas and other parts of town after determining that he had fled.

Stahl knows what she’s doing. She’s getting the narrative out there that journalists can interject opinion in place of/with facts if you care. For the children, folks.
Hoodlumman on May 8, 2007 at 2:31 PM
Dobbs is unconventional, he’s off the mark (IMO) in a number of issues, but when he reports statistics or other facts, outside of his opinion of them, he makes sure he has valid information. I’m not exactly a Dobbs fan, but he does what he thinks is right.
Socialists like Stahl always do what they think will raise them and lower their opponents. Oh yes, they believe they are engaged in a media war, and they will fight dirty.

I was about to try to address Stahl’s hypocrisy, but as I started to do so I realized it would cause me to pull my eyeballs out of my head. So I stopped.

I mean, this *was* 60 Minutes right?
Where’s the shock…
benrand on May 8, 2007 at 2:38 PM
Yes it is titled “Crazies to the Left of Me, Wimps to the Right…” It is a collection of short pieces commenting on political and social issues.
Mallard T. Drake on May 8, 2007 at 2:39 PM
Liberal hypocrisy?! In the media?! I’m shocked, SHOCKED! Well, not that shocked.
Just keep on doing what you’re doing, Carp Woman. Make sure you never step outside the echo chamber and actually talk to some real Americans with traditional American values. We wouldn’t want you to slow the decline of the enemedia and the rise of outlets like FOX News that dare to show something besides liberal talking points.
ReubenJCogburn on May 8, 2007 at 2:55 PM
I always thought she was kinda hot. So I never paid much attention to what came out of her mouth.
Halley on May 8, 2007 at 3:05 PM
ReubenJCogburn,
The truly frightening thing here is that the majority of the media, with Stahl being a perfect example, are so far left and have been brainwashing middle America for so long that they see media outlets like FoxNews as being ultra conservative right, when in fact Fox is about as middle of the road as you can get and still be intellectually honest.
Rock on……………..
doriangrey on May 8, 2007 at 3:06 PM
If you get people used to being told what to think, you can mold their opinions. You have to admit, America has been conned brilliantly.
Privatestock on May 8, 2007 at 3:11 PM
Indeed. However, can’t blame the conners – must always blame the conned.
Entelechy on May 8, 2007 at 3:26 PM
Will we never be rid of these self-important, obtuse hypocrites?

I know this is off topic, but ….
My Inbox says I’ve received an email from Al Gore.
SUBJECT: Our Moment — Our Movement
You can’t make this stuff up.
Back to regular programming ….

The sad part is that you could probably hook her up to a lie detector, ask her if she was biased, she would tell you “NO” without batting an eye — and would pass with flying colors.

“Some say” liberalism is a mental disorder.

I think the 60’s were good to Leslie….She is obviously having some sort of j-school flash back.
jimwesty on May 8, 2007 at 3:58 PM
Chickafacation of the news! Heh!
It’s great to have you guys report this. I wouldn’t have the stomach to put up with it.
Thank the Almighty Lord my God for inventing the TV remote.

What. A. Joke.

Leslie used to be hot…like 45 years ago (she’s 65). Does the AARP let journalists work after 65? Oops. Sorry. I forget that it’s CBS. (Mike Wallace did interviews with Ramses and Moses, ya’ know.) Hmmm. Okay, so let’s just make sure that before they put her on camera that she’s fitted with a bib (I hate it when they drool on themselves).

Pot meet Kettle.
mlong on May 8, 2007 at 4:56 PM
DAMN SHE LOOKS OLD NOW!
But it’s been years since I last watched CBS.
Jose Chupacabra on May 8, 2007 at 5:15 PM
That is exactly it. Stahal really is surprised because in her mind journalists actually are nuetral observers always. What she doesnt see is that a nuetral enviornment where only one mainstream view is expressed is inherently vulnerable to corruption and twisting. Somehow journalists have the idea that a free marketplace of ideas is a problem that needs to be controlled.
Resolute on May 8, 2007 at 8:02 PM
Boy, ole Leslie is really in need of a turkeyectomy to take care of that unfortunate neck of hers and while she’s at she might have them take a look at that face of her’s. As far as her views concerning Dobbs or anyone else….hello?? Is anyone suprised?? They sure don’t pay this liberal hack for her fair and balanced takes on things. She goes by the “Walter” book and always will.
