Only one man stands between America and Truther-inflected versions of the Showcase Showdown.

But he’s the right man.

You must have missed this.

I hope somebody really does beat up Bob Barker if Rosie becomes the new host.

If Rosie got the host position the show would tank, take that to the bank.

Rosie angling to land her dream job

Propaganda Minister under Clinton III?

Ahhhh……Allahpundit writing a Rosie post. All is right with the world. Nobody can do The Price is Right but Bob. They should just end the show when he goes.

because I have visions for The Price is Right.”

I bet. All of the refrigerators and ovens will be stuffed with sausages, steaks and pastries. Come on Down, and have a pie with me!

Exit question: Who will Rosie replace Bob’s gorgeous price babes with? Shudder to think….

What do you mean? I like the Rosie posts.

Haagen Daz is hiring ?

William Amos on May 9, 2007 at 12:12 AM

Apparently, neither can Bob. Sources say he “is adamant that Rosie not get the gig.”

Bob thinks that price is definitely wrong, bitch.

forged rite on May 9, 2007 at 12:12 AM

As I already posted in an adjacent thread, the Rosie posts remind of the “group hate” sessions described in George Orwell’s book 1984. It’s sorta’ like everyone needs a “team practice session” to keep our essential skills honed. The most essential team skill of all seems to be hating Rosie.

I’ll let you decide for yourself whether that’s a good thing or a bad thing.

CyberCipher on May 9, 2007 at 1:16 AM

So how do we opt out of the Rosie posts? I mean, who cares?

pedestrian on May 9, 2007 at 1:27 AM

CyberCipher on May 9, 2007 at 1:16 AM

That analogy doesn’t make sense. Rosie has a national platform to espouse her views, she’s not prohibited in any way. And The View reaches a lot more people than Hot Air, so a more apt 1984 analogy would be that Hot Air is The Brotherhood rebelling against The Party (Rosie).

forged rite on May 9, 2007 at 1:53 AM

forged rite, he’s talking about the Two Minutes Hate, where they would whip people into rabid fervor against any enemy to Big Brother, totally appropriate comparison.

Bad Candy on May 9, 2007 at 2:03 AM

Bad Candy on May 9, 2007 at 2:03 AM

I know, but the analogy doesn’t work. Rosie’s views and those of the political left is what’s prevailing these days. They’re the ones that just took over congress, so they’re the one’s with the power, not Hot Air. They’re the ones whipping up hate, so my analogy seems more appropriate.

My only question:
Where is that golf course?
It is beautiful even with the grey skies.

LegendHasIt on May 9, 2007 at 2:31 AM

Wow. She thinks that the audience for TPIR would want or accept her? What a delusional gasbag.

You mean like liberals do daily with Bush?

Rosie, and anyone else who spreads Truther filth, deserves our disdain–fully and completely. This should be across-the-aisle kind of stuff, but instead we get even more comparisons to 1984. Why not throw in some Nazi/Hitler references while you’re at it?

eforhan on May 9, 2007 at 9:34 AM

I wish that was Rosie instead of Adam Sandler in that scene. I guess I can always pretend that’s her everytime I see that part….;-)

And ‘The Donald’ instead of Bob Barker.

They would have to change the name to the price is left.

safe, but content warning for the weak fo wrist.

Mazztek on May 9, 2007 at 11:29 AM

It gets better. Do you know who trained Bob Barker in way of the warrior? If there were ever a man to stop Rosie, he is the one.

dorkafork on May 9, 2007 at 12:07 PM

You mean like liberals do daily with Bush?

eforhan on May 9, 2007 at 9:34 AM

Exactly. Don’t get me wrong. I wasn’t trying to “condemn” AllahPundit for the Rosie Posts. I was simply making an observation (that I thought was amusing).

Besides, most of the liberals buy into Carl Sagan’s “tit-for-tat” eye-for-an-eye model of morality. Seems to me that with their Bush derangement syndrome, they’d have a hard time criticizing any of us regarding our “fixations” on Rosie.

But what do I know? As clearly evident from my many posts, I know NOTHING about blogging, journalism, or politics (thank God). And yes AllahPundit, you can quote me on that.

I participate here at HotAir because:
1) I am trying to learn something about politics,
2) I love the “internets” (I’m a techno-geek),
3) I’m single and have too much time on my hands,
4) I like telling really lame jokes to people that can’t retaliate (well, at least not with any kind of physical attack on my person, anyways).

So sue me.

CyberCipher on May 9, 2007 at 1:11 PM

Learning is what is should all be about, CyberCipher. ’tis ain’t no football game. :)

I don’t think O’Donnell is Satan, herself. I do seem to recall some AP posts with her when she’s gotten things right (*shock*). If I’m remembering correctly, then that would certainly work against the two-minute hatred theory. ;)

Come visit the Pacific Northwest. Lots of courses like that one. I believe those scenes were filmed in British Columbia, near Vancouver.

Rosie angling to land her dream job

Isn’t her dream job wallering in mud while having access to an endless supply of cheesecake at her disposal?

Rosie angling to land her dream job

I thought you meant swimming alongside tourist boats, raising a squinty eye to look at the humans on board or giving a great blast out of her blowhole and breaching in search of a mate.
