Could this evolve into a Jihad Watch Board-game?

Another Dell Employee here. First, this story is old. Second, it was big news in the media when it happened. These were “contractors” and they wanted to take breaks on a assembly line out of turn. They had to be accomodated from what I understand for religious reasons and CAIR was on the offensive in a media / potential lawsuit manner.

Dell gives all employees off the week of Christmas. We get half-days on good fridays and we can take off for religous reasons (using vacation days) for other activities.

Dell is one of the few computer companies still assembling computers in the USA and we have major operations all over North America. So to say, Dell is no longer a brand you will buy impacts thousands of Dell employees in the USA.

A major difference between Judaism and the two other Abrahamic faiths is that both Christianity and Islam look forward to the whole world becoming either Christians or Muslims as the case may be. Judaism looks forward to the day when all men worship God, but that doesn’t mean everyone is going to become Jewish. The 613 commandments in the Torah, and by extension, halacha, Jewish law, is only obligatory on Jews.

Judaism does require all humans, however, to observe the Noachide Code, the “seven commandments of the sons of Noah”. Murder, idolatry, adultery, theft, blaspheming God, and animal cruelty are prohibited, while courts of law must be established. There’s no enforcement procedures, however. Jewish courts have no power over goyim.

Muslims are aggressively stretching the concept of accommodating religious practices. The notion of asking a state institution to provide interdenominational locations for prayer to begin with is constitutionally problematic, but setting aside exclusive Muslim religious facilities (prayer rooms, foot washing stations) funded by government agencies like universities and airports most certainly violates the establishment clause.

Oh well. At least the kiddies still can watch mickey murder mouse.

In the interest of fairness I should point out that traditional Judaism also prohibits women from wearing men’s clothing and vice versa. That’s why Orthodox women generally don’t wear pants. Adult men and women are also not supposed to be alone together. A cab wouldn’t be a problem since the driver is there.

In high school, I had a pentecostal friend that always wore a skirt for this exact same reason. However, it was always presented as a personal choice that she had made and there was never any judgement or pressure on the rest of us to get rid of our blue jeans. Furthermore, she never asked for special consideration – in gym class, she wore the same gym uniform (tshirt & shorts) as the rest of us.

People can require whatever they want of themselves. It’s when they start requiring it of everyone else that I’ve got issues. They can ‘preach’ it all they want and try to win people over to their point of view, but using lawsuits and threats of violence to force it on the rest of us is not alright.

Most of the affected employees are from Somalia.

Seems to be a constant here. Roberts posts have mentioned these Somali’s nationals before.

Are there similarities with other Muslim immigrants from different countries? Other than the flying Imans.

As a stranger in a strange land, I am respectful of their culture and religious practices. Muslims should respect our culture and religious practices, but they obviously do not. Neither do they want to assimilate to our culture. So why are they here?

Hey it sucks to be there and now you’re here, so if you don’t like it here, go back to where you came from. I’m sure you will be welcome with open arms.

So now I’m off to celebrate a great American pastime.

The Muslim will continue to make demands unceasingly until they have an Islamic State. Our biggest weakness, the Left with their notions of multiculturalism, is aiding and abetting this assault on our values and way of life.

The “moderate” Muslim is a myth. Muslims who do not actively support jihad passively support Islamic conquest in ways such as mentioned in this vent.
