Thank you for this recap. The I will not submit bumper sticker presents excellent opportunities to educate others on Sharia Law.

I know Spencer’s more of a serious type, but it would have been fun if he got a real tacky suit and one of those funky mics like that guy from Match Game(OK maybe not, but I can dream right?) and actually did a cheesy game show, with bad theme music and all. It woulda been even better if he talked in a corny over the top voice like a gameshow host.

Robert:
Hilariously, the pic of the woman with unibrow is artist Freda Kahlo, who was also a lesbian–also haram in Islam.

I’m going to put on my sort of short shorts , my unisex t-shirt, use my Cubs baseball cap to pull back my chin legnth hair and go out for a walk.
While I’m out I’ll take a moment to say hi to the friendly mail guy and then buy a scratch ticket at the 7-11.
Then maybe I’ll have a pork bbq sandwich for lunch and stop by the kosher section of the grocery I work at and get some ‘Jewish’ macaroons for desert.
While all this is going on I’ll be listening to klezmer, the “New Sousa Band” with Keith Brion, and classic rock on my cd player(maybe some “Stuck Mojo” too)-oh and I can’t forget to visit with the cute pomeranian down stairs.
He’s such a sweetie-unlike though that want to impose. sharia on me and mine.

I. Will. Not. Submit.
Not now-not EVER!

So if I’m working the counter at Caribou Coffee and a homosexual orders a latte, do I crush him under a stone wall myself, or do I have to get a manager to do it?

saint kansas on May 8, 2007 at 10:05 AM

I agree with Theworlisnotenough. Has Robert EVER been given air time on any show? Bill? H&C? This country must be educated on the dangers of islamo-fascism. I do what I can. I have a myspace account with my kids and their friends as my friends and I link to HA etc all the time when I send bullitins out. Every little bit helps.

Robert’s deadpan delivery made it perfectly funny.

And disturbing, as this is not farce but reality.

Thanks Robert!! That was fun and entertaining!! And raises so many more questions.

Just from the picture: Using the word ‘hump’ as a verb, halal or haram?

Canadian Infidel on May 8, 2007 at 10:30 AM

What I want to know is can you do combos? Can I practice archery with my wife as the target? Halal, right, as long as I don’t kill her? But wrestling with another man in a shower? Probably Haram. No hair in a camel hump? Hmm…what about the song ‘My Hump’? No, probably haram. Oh, this is so much fun. Seriously, thanks for a good report Mr. S.

This from a company (that I work for btw) that wouldn’t put up Christmas decorations at their mall kiosks.

MirCat on May 8, 2007 at 11:12 AM

Ah and now I see Spherion is involved. That’s the temp agency that hires all the temps that work for Dell. (Which is who I also went through to get hired.) Agencies like this are supposed to filter out the riff-raff. I’d say the temp agency is the one (due to contracts and things) that helped put Dell in a corner.

- The Cat

P.S. That’s my take on it anyway.

Actually, there is an effort afoot to ‘give’ our culture away. There are those who advocate for increasing genuine student visas and immigration from muslim populations on the grounds that western ways will grow on them through exposure and the students will return to their native countries (ha, ha) with this influence.

Gee, that’s worked out just swell so far, eh? Segregated prayer rooms, foot baths, prayer breaks etc . Do islamic communities in the ME also provide such services in malls, universities, gymnasiums, airports, hospitals etc.? The muslim culture does not recognize ‘individualism’ . . . so it is difficult to believe that they cater in this fashion. If they don’t, we should not either.

OT . . .Fjordman has posted his latest essay in it’s entirety – & it is excellent “Is Islam Compatible With Democracy?”

WAIT a DANG SECOND!!

That Tennesean story os from march 2005.

What’s up with that? And what’s happened in the meantime?

tree hugging sister on May 8, 2007 at 11:49 AM

Alrighty then. I’ve found a little more out. Dell caved, as well as TYSON Foods in 2001. You know who hasn’t? WHIRLPOOL. They took them to court after the demands just got out of hand. More in the March series here. That never got much press, did it? Who would have thought the scrum in Nashville out does everything Minnesota got press for? And predates it by several years.

tree hugging sister on May 8, 2007 at 12:16 PM

Dude, I’m not getting a Dell! ever
I don’t need any Tyson food.
I will however Look at Whirlpool when I need some new appliances.
I wish these companies would worry a little more about the normal person.

Sharia Law in USA = HARAM!!!!!!

VikingGoneWild on May 8, 2007 at 2:33 PM

This is so funny and scary…Does anyone have a link to the ’sharia friendly checklist’ from the clip? At least half of those measures are already in place at my alma mater…

WriterMom on May 8, 2007 at 3:56 PM

Muslims wouldn’t like it where I live.
Kalua Pork is practically a religious experience.

Oh, and bikinis are not a fashion statement, neither are speedos.

Mmmm, poi dog and crabs!

Kini on May 8, 2007 at 4:14 PM

This needs to be stopped and stopped now! It isn’t funny it’s very dangerous. When in Rome “be a roman candle” don’t think you can change Rome.

duff65 on May 8, 2007 at 4:19 PM

Great Vent Robert Spencer!

The Muslim will continue to make demands unceasingly until they have an Islamic State. Our biggest weakness, the Left with their notions of multiculturalism, is aiding and abetting this assault on our values and way of life.

The “moderate” Muslim is a myth. Muslims who do not actively support jihad passively support Islamic conquest in ways such as mentioned in this vent.

omegaram on May 8, 2007 at 4:20 PM

Too bad for Dell. My family and I will never buy a Dell.

Griz on May 8, 2007 at 4:23 PM

Well, Dell is in Penang Malaysia a large Muslim country. Motorola is there also along with other American companies. Fridays are prayer days and most employees cut out work to pray.

As a stranger in a strange land, I am respectful of their culture and religious practices. Muslims should respect our culture and religious practices, but they obviously do not. Neither do they want to assimilate to our culture. So why are they here?

Hey it sucks to be there and now you’re here, so if you don’t like it here, go back to where you came from. I’m sure you will be welcome with open arms.

So now I’m off to celebrate a great American pastime.
Eating a HotDog. HERE’S PORK IN YOUR EYE.

Kini on May 8, 2007 at 4:38 PM

No need to “outlaw” Islam (even if such a stupid thing were constitutional). Simply make it clear (politely, preferably) to the pushy Muslims that you don’t care what Sharia says, it doesn’t apply to you. Refuse to submit, at every opportunity.

mojo on May 8, 2007 at 5:13 PM

As an IT guy people often ask which brand to buy. Guess who is now not on the list. That’s just scary and ridiculous. There will be an Islamic state or similar over my dead body. That is probably the plan anyway.

Most of the affected employees are from Somalia.

Seems to be a constant here. Roberts posts have mentioned these Somali’s nationals before.

Are there similarities with other Muslim immigrants from different countries? Other than the flying Imans.

Kini on May 8, 2007 at 6:30 PM

Actually, this would make a good game at the same time expose the stupidity that it represents. A DRINKING game no less. At a BBQ. Wearing a bikini. Watching the dogs play. Seeing unmarried boys and girls interact and learn how to deal with each other properly.

CrimsonFisted on May 8, 2007 at 6:39 PM

In the interest of fairness I should point out that traditional Judaism also prohibits women from wearing men’s clothing and vice versa. That’s why Orthodox women generally don’t wear pants. Adult men and women are also not supposed to be alone together. A cab wouldn’t be a problem since the driver is there.

rokemronnie on May 8, 2007 at 7:05 PM

Only among their own. They do not force their ways on us. I cannot recall at any time when Jews insisted we follow their ways to the exclusion of all other ritual or law. There is the problem. Islamists do. Sharia law does.

In high school, I had a pentecostal friend that always wore a skirt for this exact same reason. However, it was always presented as a personal choice that she had made and there was never any judgement or pressure on the rest of us to get rid of our blue jeans. Furthermore, she never asked for special consideration – in gym class, she wore the same gym uniform (tshirt & shorts) as the rest of us.

People can require whatever they want of themselves. It’s when they start requiring it of everyone else that I’ve got issues. They can ‘preach’ it all they want and try to win people over to their point of view, but using lawsuits and threats of violence to force it on the rest of us is not alright.

Oh well. At least the kiddies still can watch mickey murder mouse.

Wholesome!

locomotivebreath1901 on May 8, 2007 at 9:11 PM

My computer is playing games tonight and I haven’t been able to watch much of the video, but how about this, Robert? After O’Reilly gave so much time to two Islamists on his show tonight, how about you ask for equal time to explain taqiyya to him?

Connie on May 8, 2007 at 10:31 PM

Only among their own. They do not force their ways on us. I cannot recall at any time when Jews insisted we follow their ways to the exclusion of all other ritual or law. There is the problem. Islamists do. Sharia law does.

A major difference between Judaism and the two other Abrahamic faiths is that both Christianity and Islam look forward to the whole world becoming either Christians or Muslims as the case may be. Judaism looks forward to the day when all men worship God, but that doesn’t mean everyone is going to become Jewish. The 613 commandments in the Torah, and by extension, halacha, Jewish law, is only obligatory on Jews.

Judaism does require all humans, however, to observe the Noachide Code, the “seven commandments of the sons of Noah”. Murder, idolatry, adultery, theft, blaspheming God, and animal cruelty are prohibited, while courts of law must be established. There’s no enforcement procedures, however. Jewish courts have no power over goyim.

Muslims are aggressively stretching the concept of accommodating religious practices. The notion of asking a state institution to provide interdenominational locations for prayer to begin with is constitutionally problematic, but setting aside exclusive Muslim religious facilities (prayer rooms, foot washing stations) funded by government agencies like universities and airports most certainly violates the establishment clause.

Dell Hat On

Another Dell Employee here. First, this story is old. Second, it was big news in the media when it happened. These were “contractors” and they wanted to take breaks on a assembly line out of turn. They had to be accomodated from what I understand for religious reasons and CAIR was on the offensive in a media / potential lawsuit manner.

Dell gives all employees off the week of Christmas. We get half-days on good fridays and we can take off for religous reasons (using vacation days) for other activities.

Dell is one of the few computer companies still assembling computers in the USA and we have major operations all over North America. So to say, Dell is no longer a brand you will buy impacts thousands of Dell employees in the USA.

Dell Hat off

Save your ire for CAIR!!

WOW Robert… you knocked us dead with that one. Great Stuff, Thank You !

Maxx on May 9, 2007 at 12:51 AM

There is a imple way to solve this. American should simply say – we will not submit to the law of Sharia but we will gladly submit to the law of Shania

Everyone would be happy.

Halley on May 9, 2007 at 1:33 AM

It is hard to spell “simple” while watching Shania videos… She’s sooo haram.
