Muslim-Christian soccer match cancelled on account of she-cooties

The punchline: It was organized to promote interfaith understanding. Which, in a way, it did.
Evidently the thought of being tripped by a female priest was just too hotttt.
Muslim and Christian leaders in Oslo scrapped a soccer match meant to foster understanding between religions Saturday after the imams refused to play a team that included women priests.
The imams said physical contact with women would be inappropriate, NRK public television said, and the Norwegian Christians refused a proposal of a male-only clash. The match was to have followed talks meant to build bridges between faiths in Norway.
“Some say that bodily contact is the problem. It leads to special feelings that can lead to something forbidden,” imam Senaid Kobilica told NRK public television in explanation…
[One female priest's] objection prompted the Christian captain to cancel the match. “There are both men and women priests in Oslo, and you can’t have a dialogue in which everyone can take part and then have a game where only men are allowed,” Trond Bakkevig said.
The pressure on the Christian side to relent by benching its female player must have been intense. Good for them for holding out.

Actually, I think the temptation for the female priest to trip, kick and otherwise pummel the closest imam was too great. The decision was taken out of concern for the welfare of the imams. ;-)

I got a kick out of this when I read it somewhere else. It’s just so stereotypical that you think someone had to have made it up.

I’m surprised that no one tried to organize a demonstration against the occupation of the soccer field by an uncovered infidel woman.

The priests here are either ignorant or they did this on pupose in order to prove a legitimate point. Seriously, how could they not know that the Muslims would refuse to play soccer with women on the opposing team? How in the world could they not be aware of the lack of human rights women posess under Islamic Law? I hope they did this on purpose in order to shine light on the abysmal quality of life women are subjected to under the burka of Islam.

This is a great example of the difference between the cultures. In Western Civilization, we recognize that men are pigs, but expect them to restrain themselves. I can look at a woman, or even have physical contact with her, and it doesn’t have to ‘lead to’ anything actually happening. Contrast this with the ‘uncovered meat’ theory, which assumes that men are incapable of self-restraint.

Gee, it’s encouraging to know that Norway is still in the “excuse-making” phase of the jihad conquest… I suppose it’d be worse if we were already well past that stage, into the bullying-kaffirs-around stage, where no such pretenses or ruses would even be offered – just Sharia law or else, take-it-or-leave it…
