Tonight on 24:

With just three hours left there is no plot but to stop the Chinese from … what?

Like Lorie, I’m very underwhelmed this season and it seems you all are too.

…NOOOooo!!! Not another budding romance…this place is beginning to look like General Hospital!

Pilgrim on May 7, 2007 at 9:08 PM

The only on-time threads were this one and Sister Toldjah’s. B4B was late.

steveegg on May 7, 2007 at 9:08 PM

…unless, of course, Jack is his father, hmmm?

BobH on May 7, 2007 at 9:14 PM

It’s obvious that Josh is really Jack Jr.

steveegg on May 7, 2007 at 9:17 PM

“it should all go smoothly” famous last words

BobH on May 7, 2007 at 9:18 PM

is Chloe playing the bitch now? Trying to damage anything Jack and this chick might have? oh woe is me! I’m…getting…sucked…in….

Pilgrim on May 7, 2007 at 9:19 PM

She’s waited how many years to have Jack to herself?

steveegg on May 7, 2007 at 9:21 PM

WHOOOHH

BobH on May 7, 2007 at 9:23 PM

Is there anywhere on Earth so insecure as CTU?

BobH on May 7, 2007 at 9:24 PM

Yeah but…but…it’s just WRONG! I figured Chloe for the type to stalk Morris and kill him in his sleep, not get all catty with some other woman over Jack.

Pilgrim on May 7, 2007 at 9:25 PM

Well!! I haven’t lost interest in it!!

jatfla on May 7, 2007 at 9:25 PM

Check out IMDB! Tonight (and the rest of the season) Jack is visited by his Mom….played by Bea Arthur.

Steve LLamabutcher on May 7, 2007 at 9:30 PM

I’m growing to love that little weasel! No non-sense…firm grip on what’s REAL and willing to go that extra little mile into the gray to get something done.

Pilgrim on May 7, 2007 at 9:30 PM

Pilgrim, Chloe’s the type to do both.

steveegg on May 7, 2007 at 9:37 PM

Alright guys…how to do this politely…oh screw it…what’s hotter in the sack than a wild woman? If chicky here wants to leave him alone with her PDA…do the frickin’ deed with gusto and get it over with. The obligatory trip to the bathroom afterwards gives time for him to do his…other…thing and it all falls neatly into place.

Now I know you ladies are gonna bring up the whole “love is chemistry and sex is physics” thing…you know…being in the mood and all that. I don’t think this treasonous little mynx has that luxury at the moment.

Pilgrim on May 7, 2007 at 9:38 PM

steveegg-

good point.

Pilgrim on May 7, 2007 at 9:38 PM

Anyone think that Morris is going to be a hero this time?

jatfla on May 7, 2007 at 9:39 PM

jealous wuss boy

BobH on May 7, 2007 at 9:40 PM

looks like he is going to get his chance. I’d bet his “hero” award will be given posthumously however.

Pilgrim on May 7, 2007 at 9:40 PM

I’m going with Milo as the sacrifical lamb.

Comms out.

steveegg on May 7, 2007 at 9:41 PM

this is goin hurt

BobH on May 7, 2007 at 9:41 PM

crafty chinese hackers!

Pilgrim on May 7, 2007 at 9:41 PM

Please….don’t let it be Chloe.

jatfla on May 7, 2007 at 9:43 PM

it’s a glass door for god’s sake

BobH on May 7, 2007 at 9:43 PM

I’m gonna need a weapon!

bang bang

I’ll take that one, thanks

Pilgrim on May 7, 2007 at 9:43 PM

Morris is gonna try to be a hero, bet

BobH on May 7, 2007 at 9:44 PM

…or Milo….

BobH on May 7, 2007 at 9:45 PM

Oh Jeeezzz.

jatfla on May 7, 2007 at 9:45 PM

um…who said Milo would be the Hero?

Pilgrim on May 7, 2007 at 9:45 PM

Good call steveegg

BobH on May 7, 2007 at 9:45 PM

Now we’ll never know who the mole is.

steveegg on May 7, 2007 at 9:45 PM

You won, Steve…

jatfla on May 7, 2007 at 9:46 PM

Raises hand.

steveegg on May 7, 2007 at 9:46 PM

I’m with Bob on the Morris hero angle. I’m gonna hedge with the posthumous thing tho

Pilgrim on May 7, 2007 at 9:46 PM

kinda concerned about Nadia being the mole, still…

BobH on May 7, 2007 at 9:46 PM

good hedge Pilgrim

BobH on May 7, 2007 at 9:47 PM

All I need is another couple dead ChiComs and I win the B4B Kill Counter Challenge too. We’re at 15 (5 x gun kills, +10 for the 5-in-1 bonus).

steveegg on May 7, 2007 at 9:48 PM

same on Nadia

MsUnderestimated on May 7, 2007 at 9:48 PM

turn the fans on, the feces is about to hit…

BobH on May 7, 2007 at 9:49 PM

glad Nadia didn’t let Jack go with Doyle

MsUnderestimated on May 7, 2007 at 9:49 PM

Correction, we’re at 9 (somehow miscounted; we’re at 3 ChiComs dead).

steveegg on May 7, 2007 at 9:50 PM

you win steveegg

BobH on May 7, 2007 at 9:50 PM

Make that 5 as Jack saved Marilyn and Jack Jr.

steveegg on May 7, 2007 at 9:50 PM

I KNEW Josh was Jack’s!

MsUnderestimated on May 7, 2007 at 9:50 PM

stevee, last name’s not Gore is it? Recount and all….

BobH on May 7, 2007 at 9:51 PM

No, I was just a bit ahead of the script.

steveegg on May 7, 2007 at 9:52 PM

Eeeoowwwa…not good at all!! The KID. Mom’s the next one to go.

jatfla on May 7, 2007 at 9:52 PM

poor ChiComms, they’re all gonna die now

BobH on May 7, 2007 at 9:52 PM

may be right jatfla

BobH on May 7, 2007 at 9:55 PM

You’re about to nail it, jatfla.

steveegg on May 7, 2007 at 9:56 PM

BobH on May 7, 2007 at 9:57 PM

Papa is back…how wonderful

Pilgrim on May 7, 2007 at 9:58 PM

BobH on May 7, 2007 at 9:58 PM

!#$%!$#!% dad!!!! I knew last week that it was highly suspicious we never knew exactly where “pops” went… jackass…

MsUnderestimated on May 7, 2007 at 10:00 PM

I think it’s postponed…

jatfla on May 7, 2007 at 10:00 PM

wheww

BobH on May 7, 2007 at 10:01 PM

I want a new show… “48″… “24″ isn’t enough for me! Gaaahhh! NOT ENOUGH JACK! Already jonesing knowing next season won’t start until next January! Yikes!

MsUnderestimated on May 7, 2007 at 10:03 PM

anybody get the preview for next week? my DVR cut off too early…

MsUnderestimated on May 7, 2007 at 10:04 PM

yeah, lots of shooting and stuff

BobH on May 7, 2007 at 10:06 PM

:-)

BobH on May 7, 2007 at 10:06 PM

never mind.. just rewound and saw it… still on pins & needles.

MsUnderestimated on May 7, 2007 at 10:07 PM

Let me check some things with you. The Russkies lose 5 suitcase nukes, one of which is used in Los Angeles, we recover them from the jihadis they were sold to, and the Russkies are threatening to get belligerent with us because their Chinese comrades steal a component from us?
Tell me Chloe’s ex doesn’t have an X on his forehead for trying to redeem himself in Chloe’s eyes.
Karl Rove is sitting in the back of a surveillance van watching hard core porn?

thegreatbeast on May 7, 2007 at 10:14 PM

*sigh* this week stunk to High Heaven! It isnt entertaining ..it is booooooooooooring
All the lovey stuff is nauseating..the skank assistant who betrayed President Deadwood with Daniel Jackson is terrible!
I will stay with it until the end of this year but honestly, I dont know that I will bother next year. “Heroes” is just too good…instead of watching it weekly online, maybe I just go over to it permanently. I loved “24″ but this year is really, really awful

labwrs on May 7, 2007 at 10:41 PM

Well, at least Jack FINALLY picked up something with a little more firepower than a pistol during a firefight. How many times has he walked over an MP, an AK, an M-4 etc. when any sensible person would have grabbed one?

LegendHasIt on May 7, 2007 at 10:51 PM

And then all of a sudden, he’s back to an empty pistol. Geeze.

LegendHasIt on May 7, 2007 at 10:52 PM

Since I’ve never watched “Heroes” and probably never will, I’ll stay very content and happy with “24″. I’m not sophisticated enough to be bored, I guess. :~)

jatfla on May 7, 2007 at 10:54 PM

Please tell me that Grandpa Bauer is going to get ‘whacked’ in the next two episodes. Maybe spend the next episode catching him, and the final episode entirely spent with everyone abusing his corpse, works for me.

LegendHasIt on May 7, 2007 at 11:04 PM

jatfla, TOTALLY I agree with you! I don’t think this is boring – in fact, if you don’t have personal relationships to sacrifice, the impending doom on some is not worth worrying about. I’lll NEVER stray from Jack Bauer, because every year it brings a new surprise(s). Each ‘day’ has multiple plots, twists, turns, etc., and I love the fact they can surprise me. I truly hate predictable scripts/plots, and I never would have guessed they would have invaded CTU this season. That’s why I love it – and why I continue to watch.

thanks to all my friends who watch along with me and don’t wuss out…. ;-P

Chloe out! ————>

MsUnderestimated on May 7, 2007 at 11:10 PM

I’m in for the long haul as well. I do admit that this season hasn’t been their best but here’s hoping Mr. Surnow is reading this. ;) Terrorists/badguys don’t always have to threaten humanity to be terrorists/badguys. Love interests are interesting but when every member of the cast is actively trying to get in the pants of the other members it is not only confusing but also irritating.

I don’t know what they can do with next season unless they kill Jack this season…which is what it’s looking like. Ricky is actually impressing me in his role(ducking for cover). Could 24 survive the death of Jack? Is that the jumped shark?

Pilgrim on May 7, 2007 at 11:31 PM

A good friend is addicted to ‘24′. I watched for the first couple seasons, but grew weary of Jack Bauer constantly begging fellow employees to do something ’shady’, then when they waffle, screaming at them to, ‘DO IT, NOW!!!!’ So…I haven’t watched since.

Anyhow, Vic Mackey would totally kick Jack Bauer’s ass!!!!!

RedCrow on May 8, 2007 at 1:06 AM

Hehe, I skipped this week’s episode again. I haven’t watched for 3 weeks now.

Benaiah on May 8, 2007 at 8:09 AM

I don’t know what they can do with next season unless they kill Jack this season…which is what it’s looking like.
Pilgrim on May 7, 2007 at 11:31 PM

Yepper. 2008 will be Silver Spoons version of 24.

IrishEi on May 8, 2007 at 8:09 AM

Like Lorie, I’m very underwhelmed this season and it seems you all are too.

I stopped watching several weeks ago when it was clear that the show was being written by CAIR and the DNC, with Karen Hayes being a Nancy Pelosi surrogate. This season has been a huge disappointment.

thirteen28 on May 8, 2007 at 12:32 PM

As someone who switched from watching 24 over to Heroes, I’ll never look back. Heroes, IMHO, is about the best hour of TV going.
