Kini, hope the Big Island doesn’t come to look like Oahu in a few years. It is truly beautiful there.
I have a friend who is an Episcopalian and he’s outraged about this as well. He is saddened by what has happened to his church and is looking for a more conservative Episcopal church to attend.

So he failed the rigorous screening for predatory homosexuals of the Catholic Church?

I don’t care if he’s ‘Gay’… I don’t care if he cheated on his wife. But I have complained that the MainStreamMedia has demonized the Catholic Church for predatory homosexual pedophilic Priests. So… apparently you just have to be honest about it and it’s OK?

I would see this no differently if it was Paris Hilton, who has led a far less destructive life, but has demonstrated little in the way of faith and would bring the distraction of excessive celebrity to the position. If I was in authority in their Church I would simply tell her to set an example for a while before I put her in charge of guiding other people’s lives.

How is this indulgence in a celebrity good for the Church? How is it representative of the views of it’s members? How does it serve needs of it’s members?

If this was a ‘B’ script of a day-time soap-opera and I told you an adulterous Gay predator was being indulged with a position of responsibility… well… it would have to be the Episcopalians wouldn’t it?

The congregations that are growing in America are the ones that are sticking to their doctrine. To survive the Episcopalians need to dump the exploitive and self-indulgent ‘leaders’ that are destroying their faith.

But… What do you expect from a Church that split from Catholicism so Henry VIII could get a divorce?

Based on the Bishop of New Hampshire, who has just bumped legal with his male partner, I would say this person is bucking for Bishop of New Jersey. He seems to be following the same game plan of dumping his wife and family for a homosexual lifestyle.

The churches and even whole Diocese that have left the Episcopal Church are doing uniformly well and the reason EC wants to keep the properties is so they can sell them off to subsidize chasing more people away from the Faith. The Orthodox Anglicans are having to find room for all the new people, as it should be. The EC churches are having to hang blankets in the sanctuary to hide all the empty pews. My own church has had a huge influx of Nigerians and other Africans that had previously given up on the EC churches in the area. McCreepy couldn’t have found a better fit for himself.

I guess it’s like guys who wear earrings, on one ear, left or right, decipher that statement, and in both ears, confused, I guess?

In McCreepy’s case, slick back greased hair, a cheesy smile, a book deal, and a contrite Oprah guest appearance, would make a genuine person of that persuasion…., a little, aghast I suppose.

But then again, there’s Rosie O’Donnell. And like McGreevey, a public figure, cheapens us all.

Ouch. The Episcopal “church” is splitting as others have noted. The fault lines are conservatives who control only a fraction of the diocese and the liberals who dominate the leadership. It was the same battle that happened in the universities. Once leftists got in they did their best to shut out anyone with traditional values.

Ironically, it is the conservatives in the third world, mainly Africa, who are helping conservative Americans set up new parishes and fight the bully bishops who try and strip them of their orders. It’s all very disgusting. The silver lining is a lot of Episcopalians woke up to what is happening to them and fled.

Fr. McSkeevy, he has truly found a home in the godless Episcopal circus.

I don’t know how renowned it really is…I mean, I am a Seminary grad, but it never hit my radar, probably because I am not Episcopal. BUT – my point…any Seminary named “General Theological Seminary,” doesn’t seem to me like they would take a hard stand on too much, including who they might train for the priesthood. I don’t know the Seminary, so maybe that’s not fair, but…General Seminary?

Friends we know attend the local Episcopal church nearby. It has a big gay membership and the parents admitted, “We go because they have the best choir in five counties, but that’s the only reason.”
Needless to say, they are not getting any spiritual guidance of any worth, though they are feeling a strong need for it. They just have no idea where to go. The rising Third World, no nonsense pastors and priests who have experienced REAL persecution and know what it looks like and what it feels, like are poised to rejuvenant the denominations. The intrenched Lefties will not go willingly nor will they release assets without being forced to. McGreevey is simply finding “sanctuary” among the Old Guard Left.
