Why don’t you go away for a little while, and while you are gone, take the time to actually research the positions and histories of the candidates (and yes, I include Fred! in that list, even though he has yet to announce). Maybe you will figure out why so many educated, sensible conservatives find themselves in Fred!’s corner. If that doesn’t work, just go watch your grass grow.

Oh but I think I know why: Fred! is actually “none of the above”.

Seems like a fine fellow, but let’s be honest, were he not well known by virtue of his Law and Order gig, he would be another ex-Senator of no particular note. No shame in that, but see it for what it is, a sign that the Republicans (yes, like the Democrats) don’t really have a great candidate.

It gives me pleasure to see the Left attack Fred! so often – proof that they see him as a major threat.

I soooooooo look forward to Fred! as the President of the United States.

During Fred!s time in the senate, there was a bill on which he was the only dissenting voice in a 99-1 vote. The issue? A federal good-Samaritan law. (If I’m correct there are currently active good-Sam laws in 48 states) Fred’s objection was simple. The concept of the good-Samaritan law was clearly under state jurisdiction according to the 10th amendment, and regardless of the good intentions upon which the bill was founded, it was unconstitutional for the federal government to subsume the states’ power of self-determination in such matters.

A politician who does the right thing under his oath of office, knowing that people will raise the claim that “he’s against good samaritans!”, indicates an integrity which is rarely encountered in the halls of Congress these days.

Fred is for real, and that’s good enough for me. I’d rather have a president who “appeared” boring, while leading properly, than one who is “invested in the defeat of his own country”.
