[...] An intriguing question from reader Joe H. Will Tipper be on hand today to join in the whooooooing when Akon dry humps a 12-year-old on stage or does whatever else he’s got planned to advance the culture? Can anyone explain to me how it is that Gore during his Live Earth Event has the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Snoop Dogg and Akon at his event and how his wife Tipper who co-founded the Parents Music Resource Center opposed these types of groups? Not to mention the high profile of Akon slamming a guy at a concert and the incident with the preacher’s daughter in Haiti? [...]

[...] In the past, YouTube has deleted our videos unilaterally, they have lied about the reason for deleting them, they pulled the Akon Vent even after UMG stood down on its copyright infringement case against us (they restored it after we protested), and YouTube has been generally hard to deal with for quite a while now. And when I say “hard to deal with,” I intend to conjure up Cold War analogies in your mind. We have produced whole shows as open letters taking YouTube on for its hostile acts.
1) I become an employee of Verizon.
2) I copy & paste Akon's lyrics into an e-mail and send them to several of the "...got me tingiling, come to me mingiling, Steppin off lookin bootylicious and jingiling..." female employees, letting them know I want them to "...drop it down...While I watch this beautiful thing shake that ass"

It's Eminem not M&M. One's a vulgar rapper, one's a tasty candy treat!

I find the silence of the liberal "community" not very surprising. But any attempts to call the hip hop community out on it's blatant sexism, racism and hypocrisy will be countered by charges of bigotry. It's the liberal way.

I saw this somewhere else several days ago, and to those of you who are shocked I recommend you spend a week in a high school classroom. This is the sort of garbage they listen to, and it shows. Foul language, blatant and unrepentant disrespect, and flagrant violation of any rules they don’t want to follow is pretty standard in middle class suburbia, let me tell you. And don’t bother calling home, as the parents don’t do anything about it. They’re listening to the same garbage and use the same language.

My job just isn’t as fun as it used to be.

Bob's Kid on May 2, 2007 at 11:21 PM

I had a student throw a pecan and hit me the other day and was upset for me writing him up. He then started calling the Dean, "Bro".

Hip Hop like this is corrupting the culture.

It is 99% of the groups.

There are only a few normal moral groups out there and I can list them:

Pigeon John
Mars Ill
LA Symphony

If your kids are listening to anyone but those three I can assure you that they are listening to vile sexual perversion and drug us (with a bit of violence added for flair).

Saying that we should just expect black men not to be able to control their sexual urges (in the presence of ‘uncovered meat’?) sounds awfully like something straight out of a Klan pamphlet.

Or President Eisenhower....

These are not bad people. All they are concerned about is to see that their sweet little girls are not required to sit in school alongside some big black bucks.

Source:

Schwartz, Super Chief 112-3 (1983). In his 1977 memoirs (The Memoirs of Chief Justice Earl Warren 291), Warren said Eisenhower used the phrase "big, overgrown Negroes," but Schwartz says the chief justice "toned down" the language for publication.

Not that Eisenhower wasn't a great man, but he said it, even though he sent a 1000 troops to Little Rock.

Besides if you ever wanted to know the history of the 14th Amendment that link is a great start.

I am not shocked by this. Anyone who is familiar with the "hip hop scene" already knows things like this happen on (and probably off) stage.

But before Michelle (and friends) whine that nothing is going to happen, check this out from Media Take Out

(MediaTakeOut.com) April 30, 2007. MediaTakeOut.com has learned that Akon is facing serious legal trouble in Trinidad over the recent "dirty dancing" with a 14 year old girl. Over the weekend, we spoke to a high ranking law enforcement official who claims that Trinidad is "seriously looking into" charging Akon with a crime.

And according to the official, the decision to charge Akon will made be made as early as this week.

Keep checking back with us on this one, the mainstream press isn't up on this yet, but we promise - it's about to get EXPLOSIVE.

Perhaps the media is waiting until Akon gets charged for this. Now the story gets rather interesting with this comment on Media Take Out:

isittootight

This is the 14 year old parents response:

Well...since Akon was grinding on my 14 year old daughter, who was in an 18 and older club...we know she had no business been there, since my daughter was dressed like a whore at this club, yes, again we understand this is an 18 and older club and she had no business been there, Oh by the way, since Akon should have known in an 18+ club, that my daughter was only 14 let's press charges against him!

Apparently she wasn't even suppose to be in there (probably used a fake ID which are ironically becoming easier to get nowadays).

If I was her father I would be pissed off!!! I think after that incident, this girl is probably going to be grounded for life (after the lawsuit).

And according to the official, the decision to charge Akon will made be made as early as this week.

Keep checking back with us on this one, the mainstream press isn’t up on this yet, but we promise – it’s about to get EXPLOSIVE.

Perhaps the media is waiting until Akon gets charged for this. Now the story gets rather interesting with this comment on Media Take Out:

isittootight

This is the 14 year old parents response:

Well…since Akon was grinding on my 14 year old daughter, who was in an 18 and older club…we know she had no business been there, since my daughter was dressed like a whore at this club, yes, again we understand this is an 18 and older club and she had no business been there, Oh by the way, since Akon should have known in an 18+ club, that my daughter was only 14 let’s press charges against him!

Apparently she wasn’t even suppose to be in there (probably used a fake ID which are ironically becoming easier to get nowadays).

If I was her father I would be pissed off!!! I think after that incident, this girl is probably going to be grounded for life (after the lawsuit).

I saw this somewhere else several days ago, and to those of you who are shocked I recommend you spend a week in a high school classroom. This is the sort of garbage they listen to, and it shows. Foul language, blatant and unrepentant disrespect, and flagrant violation of any rules they don't want to follow is pretty standard in middle class suburbia, let me tell you. And don't bother calling home, as the parents don't do anything about it. They're listening to the same garbage and use the same language.

My job just isn't as fun as it used to be.

The “victim” didn’t look like she was fighting it all that hard….I mean, technically, she may have been smaller, but her arms were rapped around his neck>>>>>HARDLY beating him off.

I just think she was a preacher’s daughter who got caught in the choir loft…so to speak…Nobody MADE her go to a wholly inappropriate venue.

seejanemom on May 2, 2007 at 4:48 PM

As someone who has been attacked myself (not quite as dramatic as this instance, and not as long, and no penetration), I sympathize with her. Unlike the Duke Lacrosse case, I think we can pretty clearly say an attack happened here, one way or another. Even if she were willing, she's only 15! I'm not upset with you for saying what you said; I just happen to understand it in a different and hopefully uncommon way.

I'll share my story to prove my point: just because it doesn't look like she's fighting doesn't mean that she's consenting. I'd guess her arms are around his neck just so that she can keep her own head safe while she's getting thrown all over the stage by a brute. She knows she's overmatched, and she knows also that she doesn't want a broken neck on top of everything else.

In my situation, I faced a similarly vexing problem. I knew two things as soon as NO fell on deaf ears. One, I'd have to fight. Two, I'd never have my way with my attacker with my fists. Maintenance man vs. musician... not good! I knew I'd have to devise something unconventional... and fast. In the longest 15 seconds of my life, I formed a plan to steer myself and, by association, him near a wall-mounted shelf, into which I'd thrust the back of his head. Figuring I'd probably need further assistance, that shelf was close to a set of screwdrivers, and I'd planned to arm myself asap afterwards. Perhaps unfortunately, I never got to that point. I think he felt my muscles getting ready to rumble, and he quickly stepped back, took his junk, and left.

Why is my story relevant to the point I'm trying to make? One's decisions at the time of an attack are based solely on survival instinct and may have little else to do with common sense. I realize now that, in those 15 seconds, I sent my attacker a terribly mixed signal. My attack started in the living room. The shelf was in the bedroom. Common sense: duh! Survival instinct: get him into a spot where I can kill him if I have to.

In spite of my saying NO probably 20 times, my attacker probably interpreted movement to the bedroom as a step toward scoring. My guess is that Akon, if he is capable of 2+2=4 level of thought, perceived the girl's arms wrapped around his neck in a similar manner.

By the way Michelle, I wished you’d mentioned just how much time Akon has done in the joint. I believe it’s roughly 20% of his life. He’s 25, and I’m pretty sure he’s done 5 years, 3 of which were for (as you mentioned) grand theft auto, the others for armed robbery and drug dealing.

What a thug. Why hasn't Trinidad asked for his arrest and extradition? Is dry-humping assault legal in Trinidad?

At first, I was a bit shocked that Michelle showed this clip, but I think Michelle did everything correctly in order to do the right thing. Some of us don't know that this crap is out there, and we should. She warned us that it was going to be hideous, and, had I chosen, I could have had plenty of time to turn it off had I not wanted to see it. Shock having worn off, I'm angry that this guy is free. Words alone wouldn't have had the same effect.

This Akon guy is trash. When will the Pharisees in the media industry stop pouring money into reprobates like him? This isn't about black or white, it's about green, money.

Where are honora and Nonfactor to explain this away? Like this is just his “culture” or that white people are the cause of this somehow. RightWinged on May 2, 2007 at 7:06 PM

Perhaps because they don't feel that way?

My personal take is this is more a reflection on the parents who allowed their kids to purchase and listen to this music and to let them go to a concert.... incredible and inexcusable. Parents control the money and hence the market for much of what their kids get. All the moral arguments aside I think that has little less impact than the purse strings.

In addition to being very conscious of what they bought or listened to the trick I used with my kids was to repeat out loud the words of songs coming across the radio that were offensive. I'd adlib and make the song sound really dumb, and kind of ruined the song for them.
Of course we talked a lot about how women are portrayed in music, tv and movies and how they should conduct themselves and counter the pressures out there but a sense of humor helps from time to time as well.
All three kids made it to adult hood pretty unscathed (and that's with them in public school the entire time).

Great Vent Michelle!

This vent gives documented proof to a double standard so effectively promoted by the Left and the MSM: Whites are held to such a such strict standard that they are persecuted unmercifully on marginal accusations (Duke), while blacks are held to a standard so permissive that they can engage in public sexual assault that is video taped and the MSM and Left does not even mention a word.

When will such double standards change? As long as the Left retains significant power not in my lifetime.

By the way Michelle, I wished you'd mentioned just how much time Akon has done in the joint. I believe it's roughly 20% of his life. He's 25, and I'm pretty sure he's done 5 years, 3 of which were for (as you mentioned) grand theft auto, the others for armed robbery and drug dealing.

I suspect Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson will be marching outside of Akon's label's offices tomorrow, demanding heads roll. (/sarcasm)
