Why are we even discussing talks with Iran? Why does President Bush never use the bully pulpit to explain why the War on Terror is necessary?

He is too nice of a guy. When Pelosi went to Syria, all we got was “We didn’t want her to go.” The American people didn’t get any explanation the reasons why she shouldn’t have gone. That would have been too mean and not part of his “new tone” that he has never given up–a tone that has really damaged conservatism.

We aren’t interested in the discussion anymore because we can’t find Syria on the map, or Iraq, or Canada for that matter. Why should we care? We have Simon, Paula and Randy.
Anything outside the borders of Disneyland isn’t important.

As the old joke about the Lone Ranger and Tonto goes, “Who’s ‘we,’ Paleface?” I’m sure that most, if not all of the people who visit this site care deeply, and can find any of those countries (except Canada, which anyone can miss, all tucked away down there.)

At least in WW2 days the Country was, for the most part, behind the effort.

What disturbs me the most about that interview is this exchange.

When the governments that spawn the terrorists that would kill themselves, or send their children to kill themselves, to kill us in our schools, shopping malls, churches, play grounds, sports stadiums, parks, etc., who control every aspect of their lives, what they are taught in schools, what they see in the limited media, what they are instructed to do by religion, and they use the Democratic Party’s of the United States as talking points to make thier point, and you can not blame it on President Bush anymore, what are you going to do?

Where is the “switch” to turn off all the “hatred” that the left has generated just for a political point?

When will you have the opportunity to tell the world, “Hey, don’t kill us, we really aren’t that bad, we just wanted our political power back…”

If we do pull our troops out, and Iran uses Iraq as a “killing field” to train generations of terrorist, will you then allow us to drill for oil in the United States, or will we have to pay the terrorist for oil that they will then buy weapons to kill us from China and Russia?

Also like Nero, history will heap centuries of scorn on them for their meglomania at the expence of all else, and us if we do nothing to stop them.

BTW: For me this an excercise in “be careful what you ask for” thing. I’ve always said that I wanted to live in the past, but I was thinking of the mid 1800s, not the 1930s. Too many parallels here. In the ’30s the Libs were all for national socialism, this is no different. One of two things (or both) will have to happen to even start to wake up the American public and start to turn things around: 1) a massive education campaign to wise up the population to the true nature of Islam (not bloody likely in the current PC environment) or 2) several large, very high casualty strikes on the Jeudeo/Christian world to slap us awake to the real and present danger.

For the short term it would be nice to see campaign commercials listing the damage and consequences, in real terms, of the Libs extreme shortsightedness.

Yes, actions and words have consequences, but the likes of “The Blinker” can’t see it until it is cutting off the heads of her grandchildren…….. Well done, Ms. Speaker, and the Press, you will also be remembered in history… It’s just not President Bush that you have harmed, it’s all of us.
