Robert, You forget that the laws of Dhimmitude Democrats follow the pretext of political correctness and prevent the asking of such common sense life saving questions, such as the ones you have mentioned. These questions would only serve to anger those who follow the religion of peace, and would greatly reduce the changes of the Dhimmicrats from being elected into office.

I’ve asked the question of Islamic writers on the web… just what to YOU call the terrorists?… I’ve asked that a number of times, and have yet to get an answer… because their IS no word to differentiate between a peaceful Moslem, and a Jihadist… which is a large part of the problem.

It’s great that flip-floppin’ Romney is talking about global jihad now that he’s running for President. But check out the anti-American stuff he said to The Guardian when he was running the Olympics. He’s neither to be believed or trusted . . . on this or any other issue.

Believed? He called it what it is. I understand having issue with the comment he made it the UK (which I do not because I don’t know the context of the statement), but I do not see how that precludes him from saying anything truthful.

Puh-leeze. We know he called it what it is. But we don’t know if he believes that. Surely, you are aware of all of Romney’s flip-flops on every single position. He’s a complete phony. Suddenly, he is supposed to be sincere on this issue. Come on. Get real. He is also now pro-life, when he was the left of Ted Kennedy on this issue when Club Ted was his opponent. If you believe he’s sincere on that (and on global jihad), I have some land under a bridge to sell you.

As for “the context” of his comments against America, the “context” is quite clear. Like all the liberals, liberal Romney was denouncing Americans for cheering for America in the first Olympics since 9/11 (only a few months after the attacks). If you can’t get that, I don’t think any “context” will be enough for you.

The Democrats will say whatever they feel is most likely to get them elected, particularly in the general election. If elected, even Hillary will revert to “Why do they hate us?”. “First response” and “criminal investigations” will be the only techniques supported. Outreach to the Muslim community will have Karen Armstrong, Nihad Awad and Ibrahim Hooper as Administration consultants. Robert Spencer, Steven Emerson and Kenneth Timmerman will be ignored or condemned as encouraging hatred. Ayaan Hirsan Ali, Wafa Sultan, Daveed Gartenstein-Ross, et al., will be explained away as “Well, that’s their individual experience with those few who pervert the ROP™.”

Also, Debbie, if Romney or Rudy or anyone else unacceptable is the nominee, do you do something like stay home, or support a third-party candidate - both of which will guarantee a Dem victory and increase to deafeningly-loud the Administration’s whistling-past-the-graveyard?

As to the Romney statement I fail to see anything anti american in it. It seems to be imagined hypocrisy on Schussel’s part.

Salt Lake Olympic organizers will honor Sept. 11 survivors and victims during the 2002 Winter Games’ opening ceremonies — but not as part of the internationally televised program.
A tribute “of some kind” will occur in the hour before the 7 p.m. show starts, between performers warming up and the audience being entertained and trained for its role in the festivities, Salt Lake Organizing Committee President Mitt Romney told the Deseret News.
Lights have been illuminating the University of Utah’s Rice-Eccles field — a k a “Olympic Stadium” — late into the night recently for rehearsals and stage construction. Still, particulars of the ceremonies the evening of Feb. 8 remain a closely held SLOC secret.
Romney hinted at some elements. Mostly, though, he talks about what opening night will not be.
“It’s not designed to be a patriotic, American display,” he said.
“Our view was that while the experience of 9/11 certainly impacts all of us, there should not be a direct tribute in the ceremony itself,” he said. SLOC will look to incorporate the American flag retrieved from the World Trade Center rubble into the event.
Romney said Salt Lake opening ceremonies producer Don Mischer told him the Los Angeles and Atlanta Summer Games were criticized for being “so American.”
While Romney said that while he personally found the Los Angeles event fabulous, “around the world it was like, ‘Boy, those Americans, always beating their chests.’ ”
He wants to avoid a jingoistic tone. “This not our time to talk about how great America is and have our military parade up and down the field and so forth,” Romney said.
Actually, the program did not change in the wake of the terrorist attacks on New York City and Washington, D.C. The Salt Lake show was well along before Sept. 11 and was sketched out, including general music, before the 2000 spectacle in Australia, Romney said.
He said he hopes the event touches people’s hearts, though “I don’t think we’ll possibly dazzle them like Sydney did.”
The show isn’t choreographed to be like past opening ceremonies, though spectators might find some elements to be familiar. Romney wanted to pull some parts out so it didn’t look like Salt Lake City was copying Sydney.
But he said Mischer told him there’s only a certain number of things that can be done on a football field.
The ceremonies will reflect the culture and history of Utah and the American West, Romney said. They also will highlight Olympic spirit and the international community.
One thing about the opening ceremonies that Romney says is keeping him awake nights is an element he can’t control:
The weather.
Snow would be OK, he said, but rain could wash away some of the ice props in the program. Also, performers in large costumes (which he declined to describe) “would be blown away” should heavy winds kick up

These Adult Tap-dancing Demonstrations (AKA “Debates”)manage to find questioners dumber than the dumb, but cunning politicos.

Which is why they end up running in predictable circles around will-o-the-wisps instead of facing hard questions such as Mr. Spencer suggests.

One I wanted posed:

How would you define “Islamofascism“?

(The candidates would wear out a ton of ‘taps’ going around that one.)
