He’s wandered of the liberal plantation, and it’s just a matter of time before they start calling him the same kind of names as they do Condi. Well, not quite the same, but you know what I mean.

The Fox liberals just aren’t the completely unhinged variety – look at KP, Bob Beckel, E. D. Hill (who is more of a Lieberman liberal), Lis Wiehl, even partisans like Colmes and Estrich don’t seem as wacky after you’ve spent some time watching the Spew or reading Kossack diaries.

Who cares? The attack would have been thwarted. That’s what’s important. The “punishment” is completely secondary. The fact is, by his own admission, he failed to connect the dots. He also failed to Kill UBL on at least 2 occasions which would have also likely caused 9/11 to be thwarted. He drew the big check he deserves take the responsibility for his failures.

Come on…let’s just say for the moment that we knew exactly where Mr. Atta and his crew were. Had he swept in and scarfed them up on September 10, how long would they be in custody for? What had they done wrong exactly? So they had some “crazy ideas”…had they acted on them? Remember, this was in the day when EVERYTHING was treated as a CRIME(WTC 1, USS Cole, OK City bombing). You don’t defend against Crime…you clean up the mess and grab the perps. Had he swept them up and kept them in a safe house somewhere and the NYCrimes got a hold of it, who would be blamed? DING DING DING…yep…the President would have been called everything but a milk cow…again. September 11 was pretty much destined to happen when we walked out of Lebanon (barracks bombing) and Somalia (Blackhawk Down incident). We were viewed as weak and the barbarians were going to exploit it…again.

As for the Iraq WMD intel…I’ll agree(for the purposes of this discussion) that it was screwed up. The intelligence business isn’t perfect and mistakes happen. The US was wrong on the data right along with Britain, Israel, Russia, and Germany. Those five countries are the best intelligence services in the world…and they made a collective mistake.
