Take a positive view of this. Let these provinces seperate from Pakistan and become independent states. That way, when they "cross the line" we can wipe them out without treading on Pakistan's sovereignty.

Stak nailed the long time, geo-political obvious: Musharraf is down to his last fingernail and one assissination (his own) away from letting the 'death-to-the-west' talibanis sit in power at islamobad. Mush's death will in turn deliver sophisticated nuclear weapons into the hands of these rabid islmo-fascists.

The game plan? It is time to rename the two Waziristans as north bullseye & south bullseye.

It seems we have an agreement with Pakistan (or, more like, Pakistan has a mandate by which we “must” abide) stating that we may not attack sites in Pakistani territory. By your definition and by the maps that you showed, Waziristan and Bajaur are no longer a part of Pakistan. If control of those areas belongs to the mullahs, not Musharraf, then that would in fact be the case. Islamabad has no sovereignty there and, as a result, no right to complain. I believe your maps to be an accurate representation of actual sovereignty.

If this situation is the case, then here’s the logical conclusion. We can have our way with them. What’s stopping us?

I agree with flutejpl on this. Why don't we take care of the "autonomous regions" with a few dozen B-52s? The Paki govt. has basically ceeded these areas to the Taliban and AQ.

Pakistan is playing a dangerous balance game. Mushi is trying to keep an Iranian style revolution from happening there. Remember, the reason he is in power is because he lead a coup after the mullahs got the bomb. If he pushes things to hard he knows The Children of the Mushroom Cloud Church will be founded.

Great Vent Erick!

Excellent reporting presented in a clear manner on events that are of great importance. More Please!

More confirmation that the "moderate" Muslim is a myth. I have come to the conclusion that those Muslim's not actively participating in jihad are either passively supporting it or are "inactive" and can increase their support at any time.

Pakistan has effectively become a haven for our worst and most dedicated enemies. A solution to this delima will be hard to find.

Romeo13, I do see. I agree with everything you said, too. 4 out of the 8 dems need to extract their heads from where the sun doesn't shine. All 8 need to open their eyes and see reality. History is not going to be kind to Mr. Bush for under-waging a war, but history is going to be even less kind to the donkeys for hamstringing it at every turn.

I figure Bush knows he's impeached and maybe even convicted if he does and the same if he doesn't wage such a war, so why doesn't he just go ahead and do what he has to know is right?

Ahhh... but you don't see...

Bush's hands are tied. 4 out of 8 of the Dems running for Pres don't even believe we are in a global war on terror...

They just don't get that this group wants to destroy our way of life, so they won't let us truly wage war.

Mushy is giving his country away trying to maintain power, but it won't work. Hate to say it but we need to be ready to go in and secure those nuclear weapons...

It’s only a matter of time before Pakistan falls to the Jihadis.

So will jihadis go nuclear in Pakistan or Iran first?

I think I'm with seejanemom on this one. Effectively exterminating the entire region sounds harsh, but, as wiley as UBL & co. are (exhibit A: Tora Bora), it might be the only way to put an end to them. The villagers who know these pigs are there and do nothing about it are just as guilty and just as deserving of such a fate.

At this point, if Bush doesn't go after these pigs where they wallow, he's breaking his own words from the hours after 9/11/01. That, I think, would be a heck of a lot more impeachable than anything the dems are dreaming up right now.

If Pakistan is ceding control of parts of Waziristan to the Taliban and AQ, does that mean the coalition can begin operations in those provinces?
