Re: John Edwards’ Nickname
Thank you for your cooperation with our new protocols–announced in our last memo–renaming “Silky Pony” as “Pink Sapphire”.
In light of recent developments, that name will be retired, effective immediately, in favor of “Sweaty Pretzel“. Please make a note of it.

P.S. Please no head-up-wazoo jokes. They’re so…
Ah, what do I care? Knock yourself out.
see-dubya on April 29, 2007 at 5:33 PM
Given the intellectual contortions which one must perform simply to be a liberal, the image seems entirely apt.
The Monster on April 29, 2007 at 5:49 PM
I guess I’m not keeping up with current events. I don’t get it.
SuperManGreenLantern on April 29, 2007 at 6:00 PM
Stop trying to fix something that isn’t broken. :-)
Silky Pony works just fine.
csdeven on April 29, 2007 at 6:01 PM
He is becoming the Sybil of Prez runners.
I say keep them all on deck, he is so worthy of derision on any and all levels.
bbz123 on April 29, 2007 at 6:05 PM
Sweaty Pretzels get old and stale quickly but Silky Ponys last forever.
Buzzy on April 29, 2007 at 6:06 PM
I agree. Quality never goes out of style. Silky Pony must stay!
wryteacher on April 29, 2007 at 6:13 PM
Got it. Thanks for the update.

Haha, thanks. :) I get it now.

Like all the Democrap “candidates,” he’s an assclown.
Vote Democrat, vote traitor.
georgej on April 29, 2007 at 6:45 PM
Hip-hop mogul Russel Simmons says of Edwards:
Doesn’t it hurt your street cred as a hip-hop mogul to admit to doing yoga? It’s not exactly gangsta, is it?
I vote for staying with “Pink Sapphire.” Unlike the “Silky Pony” think, it is grounded in a verifiable event.
Anton on April 29, 2007 at 7:03 PM
Well you may not want to rush to judgemant, cause with spiritual Icons like this in his camp I think Edwards just clinched the primary.
sonnyspats1 on April 29, 2007 at 7:04 PM
nomination (I meant)
sonnyspats1 on April 29, 2007 at 7:05 PM
All of these name changes are just killing me. Sweaty Sapphire Breck Girl, however, could work.
Unfortunately, that’s too long, so I’ll stick with Breck Girl.
steveegg on April 29, 2007 at 7:06 PM
So many names…so little time. My head is spinning.
SPIFF1669 on April 29, 2007 at 7:08 PM
yep. Nothing beats Breck Girl. I’ll stick with VRWC 1.0 thanks. ;)
lorien1973 on April 29, 2007 at 7:31 PM
“Nappy Roots”, now THAT’s a nick-name…..
What kind of image does “Sweaty Silky Pony” derive…?
PinkyBigglesworth on April 29, 2007 at 8:02 PM
Too much like Schweddy Balls? Hmm doesn’t quite fit into my newly minted description of the Dem leads - The Pantsuit, The Emptysuit, and the SilkyLawsuit.
The SweatyLawsuit? Not QUITE the same ring, but it could work.
CrimsonFisted on April 29, 2007 at 8:10 PM
BP here is an imageI think it demonstrates Edwards ability to continue make vital contributions to represent the poor down trodden citizens of his constituency,I think after his defeat in the primary he will devote all his time in the public defenders office to show his gtatitude for the love and support of his people.
sonnyspats1 on April 29, 2007 at 8:57 PM
Sweaty Pony?
Silky Pretzel?
Pink Sweaty Sapphire Pretzel?
You can’t improve on a classic: Silky Pony.
Mallard T. Drake on April 29, 2007 at 9:15 PM
Y’know, in the seedier parts of the city, a “Sweaty Pretzel” can cost you up to $125 a go. Just what I hear, mind you…
Texan on April 29, 2007 at 9:20 PM
Maybe we can start calling him a “Filthy Sanchez“…….. CONTENT WARNING, CONTENT WARNING,
PinkyBigglesworth on April 29, 2007 at 9:25 PM
Hey how come I’m not getting these memos…is there like a private website to sign up or something? I want in.
Patriot33 on April 29, 2007 at 9:30 PM
“Pink Sapphire” never got any real support. The same will happen with this pretzel dealy. I guess some people never got the “less is more” memo.
csdeven on April 29, 2007 at 9:56 PM
How about the fetus whisperer.Sweaty fetus whisperer….yeah, that’ll work.
spazzmomma on April 29, 2007 at 10:45 PM
Nope..again, I’m sticking with Breck Girl or “Arrogant Wanker”, thanks.
tickleddragon on April 29, 2007 at 10:54 PM
Hey now! NOT that I am a fan of Pretty Boy Edwards, by any means, but I AM a big fan of yoga, dammit. Lest you all think it doesn’t require some effort, come join me for a class some Saturday. Yes, you do get sweaty and yes, it can be hard!
Namaste, ya’ll …
LissaKay on April 29, 2007 at 11:35 PM
Whatever his name, I will fondly remember him as the @sshat.

As I posted earlier, Pink Sapphire isn’t who Edwards is, it is his LOOK. Just has Derek Zoolander had his Blue Steel look, so too does Edwards have his Pink Sapphire look. He sometimes uses that look when he is momentarily flustered. I believe I caught a glimpse of the Edwards Pink Sapphire look at the recent Democrat debate.
I wrote a DUmmie FUnnies edition about the Pink Sapphire look but will refrain from posting the link here avoid the “Link Whore” accusation.
pjcomix on April 30, 2007 at 6:06 AM
Edwards always will be “silky pony” to me.
doufree on April 30, 2007 at 7:44 AM
There’s a Billy Joel song in there somewhere.
“The most he will do is bring lawsuits to you but he’s always a pony to me.”
James on April 30, 2007 at 9:24 AM
What is next? Calling him “Sweaty Balls”
